Those we leave behind are a sign of our passing.
Does your sign point to Jesus?
Or is it empty?

Are you a useful vessel, or so filled with old junk there’s no room for the Holy Spirit to work?

Deuteronomy: 7. 6. For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
Do you believe that? Has the Lord chosen you? Are you holy? Special, above all people?
Yes, yes, yes, yes and yes. The promises of God are yes and amen.
You are the beloved, a gift beyond great price.
Are you living up to His expectations? I know I am not. He desires me to be Holy, I am, only by His blood. He chose me, only because of His love and mercy.
I am special only by His grace.
In 2 Kings 13 we have Elisha on his death bed instructing Joash, the King of Israel. Shoot an arrow out the window. The arrow of the Lords deliverance. …to mark victory over enimies.
Then he had him hit the ground with the arrows. …he smote the ground thrice. Elisha was upset, “You should have smote the ground 5 or 6 times, then you would have consumed your enimies. ….now you will only have victory twice.
How was he to know? He wasn’t. The lesson for us is to do whatever we do with our whole heart and soul.
The way to please the Lord and gain victory over sin and death is to seek the Lord, determine in our hearts to love, honor an obey the Lord. Be set apart, dedicated to His service, open to His directions, protection and inspiration. To do all with all and above all for Him.

The other night I complimented my college aged daughter, on how well she helped me do a job that day and how I’d enjoyed her company.
She thanked me and commented: “I didn’t do much.”
I ended up explaining how important, a good helper is:
* Paying attention
* understanding what part or tool is needed next
* having it handy
* Fetching needed stuff
* Being a third hand, when needed
* a good attitude
It caused me to evaluate my status as a servant of the Lord.
☆ Do I pay attention to His work?
☆ Do I understand what He needs from me?
☆ Am I ready with the words or actions to fill the need?
☆ Am I willing to go at His bidding?
☆ Will I get my hands dirty to serve His need? (Dig a ditch, build a mud pie?)
☆ How’s my attitude? (Am I too good to be second banana? )
To be honest, I am probably one of the worst of His servants. Most times I am sure His work would go faster, better and prettier, if He could just listen to my advice and let me do it my way.
I sometimes have a hard time with the verse:
“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He shall lift you up.”
I am sure I am worthy of all glory, honor and power.
Do you see why I have a problem? As I look around I don’t believe I’m alone.
Many of us want it our way. We are the star, the only one who knows how it should be. Whether it’s the colors of the carpet or where the money should be used, or what the Pastor preaches.
STOP IT!!!
Become a good and faithful servant.
The operative word is servant…..to be a good servant we must do His will, His way, in His time. Not mine.
Help me please, Lord, to walk and obey.

In this section, I will be giving a lot of scriptures. …
For to one is given by the Spirit discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.
For the best example of discerning of Spirits, we need to look at King Saul. ..
He couldn’t decern but those around him could.
1 Samuel 16:14 King James Version (KJV)
But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.
1 Samuel 16:15 King James Version (KJV)
And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
1 Samuel 19:20. King James Version (KJV)
And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
1 Samuel 28:3. King James Version (KJV)
Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him i Continue reading
brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
For to one is given by the Spirit, prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
prophecy:
13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
The gifts where we speak; Lord help me are the scariest gifts to work. Perhaps it is a lack of faith on my part. I love to preach the Word of God, share the promises o f God but jump out there to say thus says the Lord; interpret tongues.
I just don’t think the Spirit has annointed me in this area. I am more than confident to proclaim the truth of His written word but the other is a limb that scares me.
Definition of Prophesy and Prophets:
“Prophet
The ordinary Hebrew word for prophet is nabi, derived from a verb signifying “to bubble forth” like a fountain; hence the word means one who announces or pours forth the declarations of God. The English word comes from the Greek p Continue reading

Enoch and Elijah are alive in heaven today (in human bodies). Why did God choose those two?
The answer is not written in the Word but I believe I can surmise an answer.
In the lives of Abraham and Moses we find the Lord and God Continue reading
The other interesting thing about Moses is that He met 2 members of the Trinity at one time. Abram knew only the Lord of the Trinity for 24 years. He heard Him, had visions and dreams of Him, sacrificed to Him, talked with and met the Lord, before he had ever heard the name God.
At the burning bush, the Lord saw that Moses was paying attention and then God spoke. God told Moses I Am That I Am is sending you. The Lord told Moses how and where to go, what to say, when to stand in Pharaohs way.
It was God that led them to the Red Sea, the Lord ahead and behind to protect them. Moses knew both Natures of the Lord God and recognized their different voices.
Reread the story of Eve. The Lord gave her Cain and Able, Cain gave an offering to the Lord. The Lord didn’t accept it. Cain went out from the presence of the Lord. God gave Eve Seth, who had Enos and that is when men began to call upon the name of the Lord.
As we delve deeper into the Word we will see more evidence that the Lord (Jehovah, the Eternal One) and God (the Creator, ruler) are two different, separate and distinct members of the Trinity.
Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
This is our introduction to Abram, it is the same invitation we received to know the Lord.
I believe that the Lord introduced us to Enoch, Noah and Abram so we could see the potential for our own lives. These men were incredibly special, distinct from the rest of the world in their life times. Not because the Lord called out to them.
They were special and different and distinct from the rest of the world because they were obedient to what the Lord was speaking to them.
They were not any different then we are. They just purposed in their hearts to seek the Lord, to walk in His ways. To live their lives to honor and obey the Lord. Abram believed in the Lord and the Lord counted it for righteousness.
Enoch, Noah and Abram all believed and acted on their beliefs, that is why the Lord used them. The Lord will also use us as we accept the measure of faith available to us.
