Goodbye Old Friend: theunfetteredpreacher/cote’s piano

A few years ago, in the course of my Piano Tuning business, I acquired this Piano.

It really had been abused, (not tuned or adjusted for years), it was not repairable.

At first I was going to put my ‘n’ scale Train set inside.

My health started to fail, and I had no energy to build the lay out.

I then decided it would make a nice planter.

It was fun, but expensive to keep in flowers. It was interesting to watch it dissintegrate before our eyes.

I added the old boat motor, for laughs. I was the only one who thought I was funny. (As usual).

Finally it just wasn’t fun anymore.

I had put it there with the occasional help of a friend. Moving it after several years, we needed 2 women and a man.

That is as far as it has gone. The dolly will not roll in the soft grass. Instead of weighing 100 lbs dry, it must weigh 300 lbs wet.

Help is on the way, and it will make it to the dump.

Goodbye Old Friend…. you were fun for awhile.

God, bringeth thee into a good land: theunfetteredpreacher

Deuteronomy 8: 7

For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land;”

The Hebrews were ready to enter the Promised Land, after 40 years in the desert.

They had wondered, never reaching their goal, because of what the writer of Hebrews called, ‘An Evil Heart of UNBELIEF.’

That being so, their clothing wasn’t worn out, they were fed daily, their feet didn’t swell. Their needs were met.

They were brought to total reliance on God. They were the Children of God.

This is where we find the Church today.

We are at the border of the Promised Land, and, ‘An Evil Heart of Unbelief,’ is keeping us from entering in.

Yes, we are Saved, we are the New Children of God, but our UNBELIEF, has kept us from the Promise.

The good land, Deuteronomy 8: 9.

A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it;

We are here, yet some hunger, some are lacking, some never enter into the Promise.

Why? ‘Evil hearts of unbelief.’

Our Carnal Minds, do not accept the Truth Jesus spoke. We have a Believers Baptism, rather then the Baptism of Repentance and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. As Jesus did.

We want to believe God can do anything! But, He doesn’t do that anymore. We are not taught to believe, we are taught to accept a Powerless, Uncaring, Vengeful Father God.

When God would have all be saved, healed, forgiven, and to prosper as we grow closer to Him.

I am not talking money, although it is certainly a segment of the blessings of God.

No, I mean, Peace, Joy, the Comfort of the Holy Ghost. Words of Wisdom and Knowledge, given to us only by God.

The Gifts of Healing, Working of Miracles, the Gift of Faith, to believe.

He wants us to enter into His Promise. Sadly, we are not taught how or what that is.

Search the Scriptures, see if this is True. The enimies of the Lord have made our Religions, an empty shell, devoid of the Truth.

We must, as individuals, Study to show ourselves approved, workmen, not ashamed, rightly deviding the Word of Truth.

Our Pastors should guide us, not confuse us with bad Doctrine. The Book overrules all else.

The Lord wants us in a place that lacks nothing. This is only found in His Arms.

Amen

The Easy Solution: theunfetteredpreacher

Many people are looking for an easy solution, to the gun violence, that continues to maim and kill inocent people, in this Country.

Their answer every time a Mass Shooting takes place, is to ban guns, or even better, remove the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

This is the easy for them, because:

– They do not like or own guns.

– The Government will be the ones dealing with the confiscation or regulating of said guns. (The rich will pay, by taxation, not them).

– They honestly believe, good People will be safer if guns are outlawed.

– It will cost them no Personal Liberty, that they hold dear.

– They believe that those who realize, and know, why the Founding Fathers, wrote the 2nd Amendment, will willingly agree to give them up. (Unfortunately all that will be given, is lead).

They prefer this easy, for them method of reducing gun violence.

This way would only lead to revolution.

Which is the very reason the 2nd Amendment is there. ‘To protect us from Government overreach.’

No, there is only one way to reduce the violence, and still we will have some people, doing violent things, and killing the inocent. (In much, much smaller numbers).

We need our leadership, to turn back to God.

Ha, ha, ha, I know, you do not believe this.

Just because you do not believe, does not make the Truth a lie.

We as a people, and our children, need to see Adults that pray in public. (Especially in our Schools).

We as a people, and our children, need to see a Powerful, Holy, Loving God, in our Homes and Churches.

We as a people, and our children, need to see Adults, respecting our Flag, and teaching our History. (Warts and all).

Yes, Slavery was legal, horrible and the cause for the eventual Cival War.

Black people have been misused and abused, and kept from successful living in many ways.

Not so today… I am sure, there are some who are racist, and will try to stop folks.

Most of us, will give a helping hand to industrious, hard working people, Black and White.

This Country was Founded on Freedom of Religion. We now demand, FREEDOM FROM RELIGION.

We no longer believe in God or His Word.

Unfortunately, many who have been given a measure of Faith to believe, refuse to give up their Freewill and wicked ways, to believe.

There will always be Cains, who will kill Able, the Righteous of the world.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

To the UNBELIEVING, utter nonsense. To those of us who BELIEVE, the Power of God.

It is not easy, it will cost those who love Him, blood, sweat and tears, but our Country can be saved.

Will you be part of the Easy or the Real Solution?

Great Faith: theunfetteredpreacher

The story of the Centurion’s great faith.

Just say the word Lord, and my servant will be healed.

Jesus marvelled at his great faith. We stand in awe, wishing our faith was as strong.

That story, will, and does preach.

I want to look at the beginning of the tale.

The first thing the Centurion did was come to Jesus, beseeching Him.

To beseech; It means to beg; urge to, ask.

We find it in Exodus 3, the Lord telling Moses, how to speak to the King of Egypt. As He was hardening his heart to deny, the request.

The next time we see beseech is in Exodus 33,34, Moses asking to see the Lord’s glory.

A Good read. Moses, receiving the Ten Commandments, and finding Grace, in God’s sight, saw God’s backside.

People could not look upon Moses. He had spoken to God, face to face, as a friend. The Glory of God, shone apon him.

Moses, like the Centurion, found grace, (God’s unwarranted Mercy, Love, and Forgiveness, and Favor).

Jesus said: “I will come and heal him.

If we find Grace, our prayers will be answered. Where do we find this Grace?

We first need to learn how to come to God.

Moses, saw the burning bush, decided to investigate, was told to, ‘Take off your shoes, you are on Holy Ground.

We must approach the Lord, with a clean heart and conscience, knowing we are forgiven, blameless in His sight.

This takes True Repentance, a realization of how unworthy we are to approach Him.

Romans 12:1-3

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”

Are we Living Sacrifices? Are we Holy and acceptable to God?

Are we delivering our Reasonable Service to God?

Are our minds being Transformed, so we know God’s good, acceptable and perfect will?

To know God we must know His Word, His Will, His Mind. The Author is present in His Word. We Must Know Him.

We Must learn to touch Him, Spiritually, in prayer, supplication and thanksgiving.

Then the Power of God will be with us.

Matthew 8: 5-10

And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Why our children kill: theunfetteredpreacher

Many are blaming the availability of guns. Rifles, Pistols, semi automatics…. as being the problem.

Horse feathers…

The problem started in the 60’s, drugs became acceptable in some circles, Abortion, became legal.

Suddenly our little brothers or sisters are killed in the womb, so…. what is my life worth?

It got worse, prayer, and the pledge of allegiance, were no longer modeled daily, in our home rooms, at school.

Parents said, “I do not force my children to go to church. When they grow up, they can choose for themselves.”

When we no longer, teach our youth, about morals, charactor, right and wrong, and we confuse them, by telling them they can be a girl, if born a boy, or vice versa.

Can you not see, where this path leads?

Our movies and video games do not help either. Violence and sex. As a young teen, I saw “The Graduate,” at the drive in.

Fooling around with married women was a perfectly acceptable.

My life was a mess. Booze, Drugs, Sex, Rock and Roll….

If you wish to stop this train wreck of killings, we must turn back to God.

I know, many scoff, there is no God, prayer is pointless. Unbelievers cannot believe, because, God is Spiritually Discerned.

The unbelievers will continue in their downward spiral.

It is up to those of us, who believe.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

We need to learn to fast and pray. Too many believers, can not, or do not, know how to pray effectual, fervent prayers.

Prayers that receive the attention of God.

Are we willing to sacrifice our time and effort?

The Fire Plug: theunfetteredpreacher

hydrant: : a discharge pipe with a valve and spout at which water may be drawn from a water main (as for fighting fires) —called also fireplug. (Webster)

When we bought our house, I was pleased that there was a fireplug, at the end of our driveway.

Many times over the years, I have come home to find the Fire Department had been by and made sure Water came out with force. (They periodically check them).

(Did you see the Super Bowl commercial, with the Old guy, being tossed around by the Force of the water through the Fire hose?) lol

That is what we want and expect, if the fireplug is needed. It could and does save lives, and homes.

(I remember an unfunny joke, about cellar hole savers). Sad when so many risk all in the pursuit of saving lives, and property.

We find fireplugs, placed strategically in our towns and cities. (They seem to block the best parking places… lol)

The day before I was to go for my Drivers License, (at 16), I had been driving a Corvair, around my Dad’s garage lot.

I had spun around, (fish tailed, such fun), when the back end struck a snow bank.

The throttle stuck, revving fast.

Of course, that was the day Dad, let me drive home, … illegally.

I got to the first corner, from Main to Center street. Popped the clutch, went around the corner, … too far; .. and hit the fireplug.

Thankfully, no damage, (except to my ego).

Dad just said: “Put it in reverse, and get out of here. Go, go, …”

Except,

My best friends Mom was on her porch across the street, saw and reported it all to her son.

Fifty years later, I still have a red face.

Fireplugs, a wonderful invention.

As Christians, we are connected to a fireplug of sorts. He is called the Holy Spirit.

In Him, we find Power to Heal, and Comfort, to Teach, to Guide, Direct and Protect not just us, but those we encounter.

Unfortunately, we are connected, yet fail to understand how (to turn on), to allow the Holy Spirit to flow through us.

Our Speech, our Touch, our Prayers, so much of the time, is dead, at birth.

Our experience, in no way mirrors the lives and times of the first century Christians. Why is this?

We come to Jesus, because we realize, we need something. We need….

We live our lives, blessed by God fulfilling Our Needs. This really is wonderful; yet there is a better way.

Psalms 37, tells us “The Lord gives us the desires of our hearts.”

He gives us the desire to know and serve Him, not the desire for petty, personal, wealth or things.

I have changed my prayer, from Lord, I want to do such and such to serve You.

To: “Lord, may my life fulfil the desires of Your heart, may I Walk in Your Way and achieve Your results.”

Will this help me to rediscover the Power of the Holy Spirit flowing through my life?

Only time will tell. Amen

If ye keep in memory: theunfetteredpreacher

Do memories, ever come to mind? Do you understand how inaccurate they may be?

My daughter was convinced, that, when she was little, I had a pink truck, (it was burgundy), until she saw a picture of herself in the truck bed.

Equally as frustrating, I was sure a boat, (that was beached), was split open at the bow, with a huge bush, growing on or in it.

Until she showed me the picture. Then I knew, and now I remember, Small boat, small split at the bow, small shrub.

This is the picture…. lol. (Really, not what I recall… lol)

Once again, a picture proves even a memory from just a few years ago, Wrong. (How embarrassing is that? lol)

It is a treat, to remember the good things.

It is not always productive. We either remember ourselves as heroes, or victims.

The Saviors, or the Wronged, Mis-used, or Maligned. Are any of them accurate?

A few of my early memories.

– As a real little guy, (3 or 4?), running and falling by the dining room table.

Mom said, I was running with a pencil, stitches in my left eye lid.

– My brothers Magic trick. (About the same age).

Rags our dog had lost a leg, after being hit by a car. He was in the tub, two legs showing… I covered my eyes, suddenly only one leg. Wow… lol

– The Factory fire.

Sitting on the roof of our porch with my sister, watching a factory burn down in the middle of the night.

Did these things happen? I do have the scar on my eye lid, the others, ??? I remember them…. true, false, or dreams?

The point is, our minds are wonderful things.

I remember falling, not the fear, pain, and screaming that must have accompanied it.

I have memories of actions and attitudes from my teens and early 20’s, that cause me great shame, and even more, concerns, of the times I blacked out, and don’t remember.

One memory that is sure and true. The day I asked Jesus to Forgive me and to Save me from myself,

The filthiness of my life, was washed by the blood of the Lamb. The burden of Sin and Shame was lifted.

It is Indescribable, the peace and joy that filled my soul. This is the memory I cling to.

Fortunately, I still know how to repent and seek Forgiveness, when I miss the Mark today. (It still happens).

1 Corinthians 15:1-3 (KJV)

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

This is the Memory we must rely on. I pray you have this memory also. Amen

Do we need shear pins? theunfetteredpreacher

What are Shear Pins? Do we need them?

A Shear Pin: an easily replaceable pin inserted at a critical point in a machine and designed to break when stressed to excess.

As a youngster, (ages 8 to 12?), my Dad bought a speed boat. At least that’s what I thought it was.

It really wasn’t powerful or fast. It pulled one adult or two kids on skies.

It was wonderful.

One of the first things we all learned, was to bring extra, and know how to replace, shear pins. (We needed to learn the water hazards).

When the Shear Pin brakes, you are dead in the water.

It seems the lakes in Massachusetts, grew submerged rocks and trees, just to mess up your day. (I am sure this is no longer true).

After the first few times on a lake, we would figure out what to avoid.

I do not recall how many years we had it, but here are some embarrassing moments.

First outing, the start of our learning curve.

– We changed several pins.

– Dad would take us, (skiers), around the lake and back to the dock at full speed, to dismount. (We soon learned, not to do that).

– Dad, hand cranked the boat back on the trailer. Never again, he drove it on after that.

As I got older, I was allowed to Captain the boat, when we went on camping trips.

I surely loved the freedom, the speed, the excitement… (Could I find my way back?)

I would wonder and fish all day. Never caught much. Just enjoyed being on my own.

Boats, need Shear Pins, too often you cannot see the hidden obstacles. They keep you from ruining your outboards.

How about in everyday life?

My Wife is a great Shear Pin. She has stopped me in my tracks many times.

I do not know about you, but I sometimes come up with hairbrained ideas. If Bette, somehow learns of them, I am dead in the water.

She has kept me from many embarrassing situations.

Is she my only Shear Pin?

No, there is One, who Guides, Directs and Protects. He would do the same for you.

If you ask.

I pray, you have, or you will. Find true joy unspeakable and full of glory. Enjoy the peace that passes understanding.

Why Tunes I Love? theunfetterrdpreacher

Who do you Turn to? theunfetteredpreacher

My favourite source of news and information is radio. As a Christian Conservative, I listen to National Public Radio, news and information.

Also the Main Stream, Media News Outlets, ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS…

I also listen to Conservative and Christian, Talk Radio.

To hear the most details of any story, you need to listen to the last two.

The reason Liberal People, think the way they do, can only be accreaded to the source, of their information.

Or more accurately, their lack of information, involved in most News Stories.

The News need not be Fake, to be misleading. Just incomplete.

More importantly, when I want the facts about the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I have many places to search.

Jewish writings, Catholic, Lutheran, Episcopalian, Weslyn, or Penticostal Doctrine.

Or the Bible.

To know the Truth of the Trinity, my source must be the Bible. All these religions have a piece of Truth.

None have it all.

You should not go to the Penticostals to understand Jewish beliefs. Or Catholics to understand the Gifts of the Spirit.

It is great to hear all sides, but to know the Truth, you must go to the Source of all Truth.

Seek the Lord. Seek Revelation Knowledge. Always find the two or three Scriptures that confirm what is Revealed.

There is always more than one Scripture that leads to Truth.

The Lord gave us Freewill, and Intelligence, Reason and Understanding.

Seek the Word Yourselves and find the Truth. Man may be in error.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Search the Scriptures. Find the Truth. Amen

Abandoned, Lost, Neglected: 2/5/18. theunfetteredpreacher

This was the first picture I took for my Neglected Caroline series.

I often wonder, why did it end up here? It was once, a fine working boat.

Did it require more effort and money, to keep seaworthy, then the profit it had generated? Was it the age or health of the craft?

I wonder as I look in the mirror, Lord, why am I here?

The Sorry State of… ? theunfetteredpreacher

The Sorry State of …. ?

Our Nation, our Towns, our Churches, our People, … our Faith. Is self evident.

We no longer believe, what was once considered Common Sense, or Truth.

Wrong is now Right, Down is Up, Male is Female. The list is endless, we have lost all sense of decency, and order.

I came to a realization this week.

The first list is in the wrong order. We are in a Sorry State, first, because of our lack of Faith.

As our Faith has failed, our people, our Churches, Towns and Nation, have lost their guiding principles.

How do we right this ship, correct our course? It will take a Miracle.

“This beginning of Miracles,” we read about in the book of John. Had absolutely nothing to do with the relationship of the petitioner, to Jesus.

Yes, I know it was His Mom. Some pray to her. Most of us just accept that Jesus granted her request, because she was Mom.

That wasn’t why. Mom soon learned, she didn’t have that much influence.

Jesus was once told His Mother and Brothers were outside, and wished to see Him? What was His answer?

Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” John 12:48-50

Her being Mom, didn’t bring about the desired result of a few moments of His time.

We hear of her again, when Jesus, on the cross, told John, “Behold Thy Mother!” And to Mary, “Behold thy son!”

What motivated Jesus to answer prayer?

Not family, only FAITH, only the BELIEF that God IS.

It is Faith that Saves us.

“if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:”

“if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

It is Faith, Belief, “that God is, that God will, and even if He doesn’t, we will still serve Him,” that releases God, to preform miracles, in our behalf.

Many wonderful Christian Pastors, Teachers and Leaders, do not believe that God works in Signs, Wonders or Miracles today.

They seem to believe, that as in the days of Eli and Samuel, there are no open visions.

We now have the Bible, so God no longer needs to speak to us individually.

As the body of Christ, accepted this as “Truth,” it became a self fulfilling prophecy.

We end up living a life, that bears little resemblance, to that of the early believers.

Saints, the Lord never stopped revealing Himself to Whosoever will seek His face.

Unfortunately, few of us, are willing to deny ourselves, and seek to please Him, instead of being pleased by Him.

We must return to our First Love. Jesus promised if we believed we would do all that He did and more. (John 14)

Those who TOUCHED Him heard.

“Your Faith has made you whole.”

“According to your Faith, so be it.’

“I have not seen such great Faith.”

“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed”

“Fear not, Only Believe.”

“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

Today we do not believe. We have lost the ability to believe in the Miraculous.

We still believe in Salvation, and our Churches have plenty of room for new converts. Yet, no one comes. Why?

Their needs are not met, by our Powerless Gospel. Paul warned Timothy.

1 Timothy 6:20-21 (NOG)

Timothy, guard the Good News which has been entrusted to you. Turn away from pointless discussions and the claims of false knowledge that people use to oppose the Christian faith.

Although some claim to have knowledge, they have abandoned the faith.

Paul warned us about, Powerless Rituals and Ceremonies. Services that are so busy, there is no room for the Lord to speak.

We now, only believe half the Gospel.

2 Timothy 3:5
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

It is much easier to fill our Services, with busy, man directed Worship, than to learn to Wait on God, to deliver His Promise, in Power.

1 Corinthians 4:20
For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

Hebrews 6:4-6a

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;”

Saints, as His Church, we should have tasted, the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come. We haven’t.

We have accepted the loss of His Power, because to walk in it takes a real change within us.

It is more than being Saved, by Faith.

We need to change, from wanting things from God, to learning to please God.

By believing, “He is, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently Seek Him.”

Do we Truly Believe, Seek and Walk in Faith? If we did, there would not be room for all who would be Saved.

May we return to Biblical Faith. Amen

Dear Democrats: theunfetteredpreacher

Dear Democrats,

I was sadly not surprised, to see your juvenile performance at the SOTU, last evening.

Our last President could of had 8 years of prosperity and peace, instead, he chose to spend his time deviding rich from poor, black from white, law officers from those they protect.

If your policies were not so wrong headed, our Country, would not have needed, Donald Trump to save us from the third world path we were on.

If you can not Honour our first lady, stand for our National Anthem, rejoice for prosperity and low unemployment.

You are a special kind of childish fool.

You lost the Election and I believe last night you lost what little mind you had left.

Say Good Night, and God Bless America.

1 Timothy 2:1-3 (KJV)
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

What shall I do? theunfetteredpreacher

Exodus 17:4
“And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.”

I cried unto the Lord.  “What must I do, these people reject Your Truths.   They are almost ready to stone me.”

Yes, it is true.

If You called me to lead?  I am a lost. If You called me to teach?  I am failing.   If You called me to serve?  I have missed the mark, of Your high calling.

If You called me to see?  I am blind.  To hear?  I am deaf.    If You called me to care?  I am torn asunder.

Since You brought me to this UMC, my focus, my zeal, my calling has evolved.   I used to invite the lost to come to the Spirit Filled Fellowships, I attended.

I find myself discouraging people from coming to this Church.  Why?

I believe they are Saved and love the Lord.  That should be enough.  I wish it was.

They lack the Love, Joy and Peace, that is evident in the Spirit Filled, Saints.  They know not what is missing.  Because it is Spiritually discerned.

It could be me, my fault.  I am a bull, in a china shop.
I push.  I prod.  I  beseech.   To to touch hearts, to open minds, to  change lives, is not in me.  I  need You.

If Your Holy Spirit is teaching me?   I am failing the course.

Lord please, “What shall I do?”  I believe I am here in obedience.  To learn, to grow to become, …

What?  A joke?

The people are satisfied, happy, content where they are.  They have zero desire to change.

Show me Thy Way, Oh Lord.  I must have Your anointing in my life.  To allow You to make a difference.   Amen

Thanks for visiting.

The Lepers story: Matthew 8:1-4,Mark 1:40-45,Luke 5:12-14 theunfetteredpreacher

In my original post on the Leper, my primary concern was not knowing God’s will.

The Church today, believes God can, as did the Leper, but we still do not believe His will.

Many other things went on in these Scriptures. Jesus had just preached the Sermon on the Mount.

Great multitudes followed Him. The Leper came and Worshiped Him.

Worship:

We call our Sunday Morning Service a Worship Service. Is it?

Worship
Homage rendered to God which it is sinful (idolatry) to render to any created being (Ex. 34:14; Isa. 2:8). Such worship was refused by Peter (Acts 10:25,26) and by an angel (Rev. 22:8,9). Eastons Bible Dictionary

Worship, is a realization of who God is; Our Creator, Saviour, Teacher, Helper, the source of our Power.

We need to stop, acknowledge the Lord, recognize Him as our all in all. Sing Him love songs, Scripture songs, bow our heads, lift up our hands, ask Him into our lives.

Be still, and know, that He is God.

If you looked up Worship, in Strongs Concordance, you would find, one of the meanings is to fall down, to fall to your knees.

This is how the Leper approached Jesus. Knowing Jesus could heal, knowing not, that He would.

Yet, he Worshiped.

Jesus said, He would, He touched him…. He healed him, immediately….

We are Saved immediately, when we repent and ask. We receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, immediately, when we ask.

We need to learn to walk in Salvation, and also how to pray in the Spirit.

He heals us immediately, He never ran a hospital, and neither should we.

He was told to be quiet and go to the Priest, for ritual cleansing.

He was too excited, spilled the beans, Jesus, then had to go into hiding.

Matthew 8:1-4 (KJV)
When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

Mark 1:40-45 (KJV)
And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;

And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.

Luke 5:12-14 (KJV)
And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.

And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

Saints, an older post, full of truth.

My prayer is, you lack nothing, in your walk with God.

This beginning of miracles: John 2:11-16 theunfetteredpreacher

This beginning of miracles:” John 2:11-16

The last time I wrote on these Scriptures, my point was, Jesus’s age, (30), after Baptism, and Temptation. (As a child, I thought He was one also).

He had Disciples, Andrew, Peter, James, John. Phillip and Nathaniel.

He displayed Words of Knowledge, (He knew who would join Him, He saw Nathaniel under the fig tree).

Words of Wisdom, (He changed Peter’s name, He knew he would be a leader).

Discerning of Spirits, (Along with the Word of knowledge, He Discerned who would be Faithful).

The Disciples, had been following and learning of Jesus. They began to believe on Him, AFTER seeing the Working of the Miracle, of Water to Wine.

This was a manifestation of His Glory.

Today, we do not see the miraculous often in the Church. Much like in His home town, we are impressed, when a few sick folks are healed.

While He marvels at our UNBELIEF.

The Creator of all that has been created, and, we choose to believe He no longer does, or will do Miracles.

Somehow, we act as if, the best used by date, has past.

We believe He could, but not, that He would.

One other problem, it wasn’t yet, His time, but, Mom asked, so He delivered.

Some pray to Mary, expecting her to intercede, for us.

Missing the truth, that it is Jesus, who we must rely on. They miss the point, it is NOT WHO ASKED, that matters.

IT WAS THAT HE ANSWERED.

She demonstrated the Gift of Faith. He had not said He would do as she asked, while she told the servants to do as He directed.

He answered, because, HE SAW HER FAITH.

I question if He sees or recognizes, Faith in our lives. Do we act like we believe He will answer?

Do we know His will on the matter? Do we do what is needed to touch Him?

When the Disciples wondered why they could not cast out a demon. He answered, “This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.” Mark 9:29

We hardly know how to pray, as for fasting? What, Denying ourselves? Not fashionable.

Fasting and Prayer:

The Psalmist, persecuted by his enimies, prayed for them.

Psalm 35:13-14
But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

Daniel, understanding, the Prophecy of Jeremiah, sought the Lord, declaring Israel’s sin.

Daniel 9:3
And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

Anna, a prophetess, an old woman, in the Temple, recognized the Son of God.

Luke 2:37
And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

When you pray, do you wish to see results?

Do you understand God’s will? Are you walking in obedience?

To build His Church, we MUST, seek His Power. We MUST, know His Will. We MUST, Walk in Obedience.

You have not, because you ask not.”

James 4:2
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

ONLY BELIEVE”

John 2:1-11(KJV)
And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.”
