If ye keep in memory: theunfetteredpreacher

Do memories, ever come to mind? Do you understand how inaccurate they may be?

My daughter was convinced, that, when she was little, I had a pink truck, (it was burgundy), until she saw a picture of herself in the truck bed.

Equally as frustrating, I was sure a boat, (that was beached), was split open at the bow, with a huge bush, growing on or in it.

Until she showed me the picture. Then I knew, and now I remember, Small boat, small split at the bow, small shrub.

This is the picture…. lol. (Really, not what I recall… lol)

Once again, a picture proves even a memory from just a few years ago, Wrong. (How embarrassing is that? lol)

It is a treat, to remember the good things.

It is not always productive. We either remember ourselves as heroes, or victims.

The Saviors, or the Wronged, Mis-used, or Maligned. Are any of them accurate?

A few of my early memories.

– As a real little guy, (3 or 4?), running and falling by the dining room table.

Mom said, I was running with a pencil, stitches in my left eye lid.

– My brothers Magic trick. (About the same age).

Rags our dog had lost a leg, after being hit by a car. He was in the tub, two legs showing… I covered my eyes, suddenly only one leg. Wow… lol

– The Factory fire.

Sitting on the roof of our porch with my sister, watching a factory burn down in the middle of the night.

Did these things happen? I do have the scar on my eye lid, the others, ??? I remember them…. true, false, or dreams?

The point is, our minds are wonderful things.

I remember falling, not the fear, pain, and screaming that must have accompanied it.

I have memories of actions and attitudes from my teens and early 20’s, that cause me great shame, and even more, concerns, of the times I blacked out, and don’t remember.

One memory that is sure and true. The day I asked Jesus to Forgive me and to Save me from myself,

The filthiness of my life, was washed by the blood of the Lamb. The burden of Sin and Shame was lifted.

It is Indescribable, the peace and joy that filled my soul. This is the memory I cling to.

Fortunately, I still know how to repent and seek Forgiveness, when I miss the Mark today. (It still happens).

1 Corinthians 15:1-3 (KJV)

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

This is the Memory we must rely on. I pray you have this memory also. Amen

This beginning of miracles: John 2:11-16 theunfetteredpreacher

This beginning of miracles:” John 2:11-16

The last time I wrote on these Scriptures, my point was, Jesus’s age, (30), after Baptism, and Temptation. (As a child, I thought He was one also).

He had Disciples, Andrew, Peter, James, John. Phillip and Nathaniel.

He displayed Words of Knowledge, (He knew who would join Him, He saw Nathaniel under the fig tree).

Words of Wisdom, (He changed Peter’s name, He knew he would be a leader).

Discerning of Spirits, (Along with the Word of knowledge, He Discerned who would be Faithful).

The Disciples, had been following and learning of Jesus. They began to believe on Him, AFTER seeing the Working of the Miracle, of Water to Wine.

This was a manifestation of His Glory.

Today, we do not see the miraculous often in the Church. Much like in His home town, we are impressed, when a few sick folks are healed.

While He marvels at our UNBELIEF.

The Creator of all that has been created, and, we choose to believe He no longer does, or will do Miracles.

Somehow, we act as if, the best used by date, has past.

We believe He could, but not, that He would.

One other problem, it wasn’t yet, His time, but, Mom asked, so He delivered.

Some pray to Mary, expecting her to intercede, for us.

Missing the truth, that it is Jesus, who we must rely on. They miss the point, it is NOT WHO ASKED, that matters.

IT WAS THAT HE ANSWERED.

She demonstrated the Gift of Faith. He had not said He would do as she asked, while she told the servants to do as He directed.

He answered, because, HE SAW HER FAITH.

I question if He sees or recognizes, Faith in our lives. Do we act like we believe He will answer?

Do we know His will on the matter? Do we do what is needed to touch Him?

When the Disciples wondered why they could not cast out a demon. He answered, “This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.” Mark 9:29

We hardly know how to pray, as for fasting? What, Denying ourselves? Not fashionable.

Fasting and Prayer:

The Psalmist, persecuted by his enimies, prayed for them.

Psalm 35:13-14
But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

Daniel, understanding, the Prophecy of Jeremiah, sought the Lord, declaring Israel’s sin.

Daniel 9:3
And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

Anna, a prophetess, an old woman, in the Temple, recognized the Son of God.

Luke 2:37
And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

When you pray, do you wish to see results?

Do you understand God’s will? Are you walking in obedience?

To build His Church, we MUST, seek His Power. We MUST, know His Will. We MUST, Walk in Obedience.

You have not, because you ask not.”

James 4:2
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

ONLY BELIEVE”

John 2:1-11(KJV)
And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.”

Simplicity: The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

All of us, whether in church, life, or at work, tend to flow with the crowd.  Trusting, contented, comfortably compliant.

Sailing along, not making waves, oblivious to any dangers that may lie in our path.

In our simplicity, we know not who we follow or where they are leading us.

Can’t find God ? – PRAISE – The Fix-it Shop-Filling

I’ve been feeling forgotten, the Lord has been distant, uncaring, I ‘ve prayed for nought.  No answer, silence, is the Lord taking a walk?

Maybe He is napping?  Mayhaps He has taken His hand off the tiller of my life?

I have been floundering, sinking, lost in the storm.

“the father of a fool hath no joy.” – The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

Proverbs 17:21
King James Version (KJV)
“He that begetteth a fool doeth it to his sorrow: and the father of a fool hath no joy.”

My poor father could not of had any joy during my teenage years.  There was never a bigger fool then me, before Christ.  Sex, Booze, Drugs, Rock and Roll.

I had absolutely no respect for authority,

The Truth of the Matter : The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

The Truth of the Matter is,  people no longer accept truth.  The Word is Truth.  How many do you know who don’t accept Jesus as Lord and Savior?   They say;  “That’s your truth, Not My Truth.”

“Don’t you force your truth on me, the sky is not  blue, grass isn’t green, up is down and wrong is right.”

image

It  is hard to convince people of the Truth of the Gospel,  without the Power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish His will.

Too often we accept the Gifts of the Spirit of Teaching and Ministering, because they are easy, we just share what we have learned from the Bible and other books.

It is quite easy to impress low information Christians. They have accepted the Truth of the Gospel,  they are hungry for Righteousness,  they have experienced  some of its Cleansing Power, the Blood of Jesus covers a multitude of sin.

They understand the Freedom the Truth imparts.

image

How do we reach the unbelieving?

That is our real calling.   The man that was called Legion,  was sent to tell all, what He knew.  All He knew was the Power of the Lord to make him clean, free and Righteous in Gods eyes.

No theological degree, no license to marry and bury, just Revelation Knowledge.

Accept the Bible as Truth,  ask Jesus to Reveal to you the Power and Love of the Holy Spirit.  Ask him to make you a vessel He can use.

READ THE WORD, ASK, SEEK, KNOCK.

The Lord will give you the Gifts of the Spirit that you will use for His Glory.

I firmly believe,  we do not see a lot of Signs and wonders,  miracles  following;  because we cannot be relied upon to Give Him the Glory.

That is the problem in my heart and I wonder about all who Love and believe, do you think the Lord had an experation date on the Gifts or have we just left them on the shelve because our word is so powerful.

We haven’t really entered the Holy of Holies,  haven’t really Submitted ourselves to God,  Humbled ourselves, so we might be lifted up, used in a mighty way, becoming the Hands of the Lord, to heal the sick, lame, brokenhearted, those blind to the truth deaf to the Wisdom of God.

Saints, we must push into the Higher Calling, the World needs the Truth of God.

Is the Holy Spirit? – 8 – The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

Matthew 11:29-30
” Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

When we learn to take up His yoke, it will be impossible to be behind or ahead of Him.  We have to Walk beside Him, where He would have us go.

We would be touching the lives as He wills.  If we become proficient in understanding His will, we would Walk in the Power of His Love.

We would learn to Walk in the Spirit, we would find ourselves in the Holy of Holies as the Lord uses us to complete His will.

His yoke is easy, burden light, we find rest unto our souls.  How often are we restless, nervous uptight, worried, concerned.

image

Learn to rest in Him, ask Him to give you a heart after His, to make you into a vessel He can use.  Mold and make us Lord, guide and direct us, protect us from ourselves and the evil one.

Fastband pray, push yourself into the Holy of Holies, receive the Anointing because of your persistence.

He will not give a stone, when we ask and need wheat.
Every good gift comes down from the Lord above.
Ask and you shall receive.   The Lord wants you beside Him, Walking with Him, doing snd seeing His Grace and Mercy,  Power and Might.

Only believe.

Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.
