The Trinity, in the Old Testament: Getting to Know God (Elohim) theunfetteredpreacher

Chapter 2: Getting to know God (Elohim):

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”. (Genesis 1:1 King James Version)

It is quite clear that God, (Elohim), is the Creator and Ruler of the Heavens and Earth. As we have seen, in the meeting of the Lord God with Moses, there are instances where we see both the Lord and God interacting with the Faithful. We can see, (and hear), many differences in their speech. The Lord, (Jehovah), is the Law Giver, and God, (Elohim), is Grace.

There also, are many examples of the Lord God, speaking with One Voice, as there should be. The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are One, and they often speak in One Voice, as they also speak for themselves.

I realize this may be a new idea for some, but, I believe the Word will show us the truth. In the Garden, the Lord God walked together in the cool of the day, they were One, in their desire to walk with Adan and Eve, to have a personal, loving relationship with them.

They were One in disappointment, because of the sin, the disobedience of Adam, in sharing in the guilty pleasure of eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

The Lord God, were in agreement that Adam and Eve, must be forced from the Garden, before they ate from the tree of Life, now that they had sinned. Until that sin, they partook of that Tree, and didn’t know of sin or death.

That knowledge caused them to hide and cover themselves. The Lord, God and the Spirit are One. Let us first get to Know the Creator and Ruler, the God of Grace, Elohim.

The word we use, ‘God’, is translated from the Hebrew word, Elohim. It means Creator/Ruler of all. As we look through the Bible we begin to see what God (Elohim) is all about. He is the operations manager. (1 Corinthians 12:4-7) He is the spoken word. The Word became flesh in the New Testament. Jesus is the Word.

At the creation of man, God, (Elohim), said: ‘Let Us make man in our image.’ ‘Man was Created in the Image of God.’ (Genesis 1:26,27; 9:6) The New Testament tells us Jesus is the Image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4; Colossians 1:15) We see the separation of the Lord from God, in the words of Eve.

And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and Eve said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.” (Genesis 4:1 King James Version)

Eve tells us Cain was from the Lord (Jehovah) not the Lord God (Jehovah Elohim). Cain brought his offering to the Lord (Jehovah). The Lord rejected Cains offering. Cain left the presence of the Lord. Eve later tells us about Seth.

And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.” (Genesis 4:25-26 King James Version)

This is important; Moses wrote this and points out the difference between the two equal persons of the Trinity. The Lord (Jehovah) gave Eve Cain but God (Elohim) gave Eve Seth. Seth had Enos and then men began to call upon the name of the Lord (Jehovah).

The Lord (Jehovah) and God (Elohim) are separate parts of the Trinity. They are not one member with two interchangeable names. When they interact with people we can recognize the difference.

As we look at Genesis 5:18-21 we read the story of Enoch. ‘Enoch walked with God: and was not; because God took him.’ In Hebrews 11:5 and in the book of Jude, we find out Enoch was a Preacher of Righteousness, he pleased God because; ‘He believed that God IS, and IS a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.’

We soon read of Noah, another Preacher of Righteousness. ‘Who found Grace in the eyes of the Lord, Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.’ (Genesis 6:8-9)

Noah found Grace, and was a just and perfect man, only because he Walked with God. (jesus)

The Trinity, in the Old Testament: Chapter 1: Moses meets the Lord God: theunfetteredpreacher

Chapter One: Moses meets the Lord God: (Jehovah Elohim)

The Lord God in the Old Testament, is not one member of the Trinity with interchangeable names but rather two separate, distinct, individual, members of the Godhead.

I believe I can prove this statement true.

The question is, what do you believe? The Word of God or the Doctrine of your Church, Fellowship, or Pastor. Please, believe the Word of God. Check everything you are told, read, or taught against the Word of God.

The best Pastor or Preacher can only Preach or Teach, ord God in the Old Testament, is not one member of the Trinity with interchangeable names but rather two separate, distinct, individual, members of the Godhead.

I believe I can prove this statement true.

The question is, what do you believe? The Word of God or the Doctrine of your Church, Fellowship, or Pastor. Please, believe the Word of God. Check everything you are told, read, or taught against the Word of God.

The best Pastor or Preacher can only Preach or Teach, that which has been revealed to them, by the Spirit of God. We are responsible, for what we believe and know, to be the truth. We need to know and seek the Full Council of God.

The Lord (Jehovah) in the Hebrew means The Eternal One. God (Elohim) in the Hebrew means Creator/Ruler of all. So when Moses met the Lord God, he was meeting not one, but two members of the Trinity.

This is the passage that opened my eyes, and helped to change my thinking.

And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him (Moses), in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.” (Exodus 3:2-4)

When the Lord (Jehovah) saw that Moses was paying attention, God (Elohim) called. That was the first indication, that I’d been looking at the Old Testament wrong. The Lord (Jehovah) and God (Elohim) are two different, separate members of the Trinity. Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible.

He recognized the distinct differences and the oneness of the Trinity. He knew them as one and as individuals. Both the Lord and God spoke to Moses. We can begin to recognize them, by the differences and agreements of their speech.

God said:

“And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.” (Exodus 3:5-6)

When people meet God (Elohim) something happens. Moses hid his face, afraid. As we continue in Exodus 3:7-10 we see the Lord speaking to Moses.

The Lord told Moses that He had seen the Hebrews affliction and heard their cry, and that He would deliver them from their taskmasters.

In verses 11-22 We again hear the voice of God. God promises to be with Moses, that God is the: I AM THAT IS I Am. God said: I have seen your affliction, I will deliver you, and bring you to a land of milk and honey.

He would smite Egypt with His wonders and the Hebrews would not go empty. That the Egyptians would give them their riches.

In Chapter 4 the Lord, speeks once again. The Lord tells and shows Moses the Miracles he will do, He told Moses that Pharaoh, would harden his heart and not let them go. The Lord even told Moses that He would slay Pharaoh’s, first-born.

The Trinity: Part One theunfetteredpreacher

Introduction: The Trinity in the Old Testament:

The Bible is an amazing book, we read it, memorize it, even believe we understand it, and then one day God opens our eyes and old things pass away, the Word becomes new. Suddenly we see things with a better understanding.

For most of my Christian life the Old Testament has been the Father Gods domain. I thought of the God of the Old Testament as Father God, Lord God or just the Lord or God. They were all interchangeable names for the same member of the Trinity, who ruled the Old Testament.

The Father and the Spirit were active, but, where was Jesus?

The Father God wrote and was the book of the law. Whatever we called Him, He was one member of the Trinity. When He spoke the earth moved, things got done, He was to be feared and obeyed.

Jesus was there somewhere but silent, invisible, waiting for his cue to enter center stage. The Spirit also, was quietly hovering, ready to explode on the scene.

In the New Testament it was easy to see the Trinity. The Son, Jesus is the main character, the Father God, speaks from heaven and Jesus promises to send the Holy Spirit, the Comforter to those who believe.

It is easy to understand, the Father in the Old Testament, Jesus in the New Testament and the Spirit for today.

Many believe that the Lord God of the Old Testament is no longer relevant. The Law has been fulfilled by Jesus, who brought Saving Grace to those who believe.

Today it is the Holy Spirits turn, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, to give us the Power to Heal, Comfort, Teach, and Lead us, to all truth.

We believe, the Old Testament is full of interesting stories, or old wives tails, and at best, ancient history.

In believing the New Testament is all we need to understand, we fail to comprehend, the great sacrifice God made. He left the heavens, became a man, to suffer and die, so Believers, might become Blameless, covered by the Blood of The Lamb.

The Trinity, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are active throughout the Bible.

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” (1 Corinthians 12:4-7 King James Version)

Can we understand the Trinity? Can we know who they are and what they do? Is the Godhead, (the Trinity, the Deity), active today? When I read the Bible, I wonder, where is the Power of God, the Miracles, Jesus promised?

Is the Spirit still hovering? Yes, people are getting saved, sanctified, Holy Ghost filled and water baptized, but, is that all we should expect?

Where is the God of Elijah, the God of the Bible? The Lord who preformed miracles, who healed the sick, raised the dead, and walked on water. Where are the Signs and Wonders that are supposed to follow those who believe?

Has the Lord God changed? Where is the power that Jesus has promised? Is the Holy Spirit that lives within us the weak link? Or is it possible that we don’t know, what to do, with what we have?

The answer to these questions is revealed in the Word. We need the help of the Holy Spirit to understand, to believe, that God is and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

The Lord God in the Old Testament, is not one member of the Trinity with interchangeable names but rather two separate, distinct, individual, members of the Godhead.

This is the Introduction to a book I am writing. Please let me know what you think. Thanks

LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? theunfetteredpreacher

Psalm 15: 1-5

LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.”

It is not often that I use a full Psalm, to make a point. The conversations I had with my Liberal cousins friends, just yesterday on FB, both grieves and motivated me.

They were very quick to point out the failings of Republicans and Christians. I apparently am not a Christian, because I would not agree with them. Oh I agreed that there are Republicans and Christians who are not perfect, and some are down right hateful. That was not enough.

They could not recognize how hateful and destructive the leadership and faithful on the left are. It was fine that ANTIFA and BLM, tear up property and attack conservatives.

After all we do not think or act right.

It was wonderful that the false accusations nearly destroyed Justice Kavanagh and his family, as a matter of fact one leftist said ‘At least we destroyed his family.’

The problem isn’t that there are many evil people; but that some refuse to recognize and comdemn that evil. They embrace it instead.

Which brings me to this Psalm, if because I do not tow the Liberal line I am not a Christian, I would invite those on the left to read and understand this Psalm.

I do not feel I need to comment on it. God’s Word is pure and perfect. I would thst I were a better son and witness, alas I am just me, with Christ in me, the hope of Glory. (Colossians 1:27)

If the foundations be destroyed; theunfetteredpreacher

Psalm 11:3

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

There was a meme on FB, claiming Trump said he would run as a Republican, because they are all dummies, and would vote for him.

This of course is Fake News item, (see snopes), I left a comment that we dummies were pretty happy at the results he has given us.

I was told I was uninformed, or misinformed. I pointed out that Conservatives could not help but to hear the Liberal news, and that if they wanted to know the truth, they needed to find a Conservative or Christian News source. lol….

Nope, that is not going to happen. The left is doing it’s best, to destroy the Foundational Principles of our Country.

As Christians, there is nothing we can watch on Main Stream TV or News. Don’t even talk about cable. (We pick and choose from Netfixs), Every show has to have it’s quota of Gays or Trans… If there happens to be, a Christian portrayed on the shows, they are usually terrible, hateful people.. All the Law and no Love.

In the political world, Christian businesses, are forced to support things, that are against their Faith, by making Cakes to celibate Gay Marriage, to pay for birth control, we must embrace people who claim they are not the Sex they were born to. We are to accept and praise, them in their delusions.

We have come to a point where we must obey God, not man.

Not long ago a state (wish I could remember which), wanted all the Church Pastors, to send in their Sermons, to make sure they were PC.

We are no longer innocent, if we are accused by a woman, of sexual misconduct, or of hate crimes because we believe and quote the Bible.

We spent 8 years watching our Country, as it was deliberately torn apart, the police and military attacked, the races encouraged to be rebellious.

Home grown Terrorists BLM, ANTIFA, and Never Trumpers, told to get in the face of Conservatives or our Representatives of both houses, in Congress. To be rude, or to physically attack those who disagree with the Democrats Godless policies or programs, that this makes them Patriots.

It does not.

We are so devided now, with the Left turning to Socialism, the Right loving Free Enterprise. Our Schools are turning our children into America hating clowns, who can no longer listen to or agree that others may have differing opinions.

What can the Righteous to do?

We can only Stand Fast in our Faith. Fast and Pray for Godly Leadership, from our local School board to the President. It is a shame, that even a Choir Boy or a Boy Scout, can expect to be torn apart along with his family, if he dares to run for public office.

That is the message of the Left. How sad is that?

What can the righteous do? theunfetteredpreacher

Psalm 11:3

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

If we are followers of Christ, (born again, Spirit filled believers), What can we do?

We are the Righteous of God in Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:21) Our hands are tied, the heathens do not want God in any way, shape or form, involved in our Political process, or our personal life. (Psalms 10:4)

Men and Women of God are ridiculed, dismissed, or ignored by those who Reject, the Truth of the Gospel. They do not need the crutch, of Religion. They believe, Me, Myself and I, are all they need, to succeed in life, to attain their goals.

They believe the good they do, outweighs the bad, so If there is an afterlife, they will certainly be in heaven.

We Christians should just leave the unbelievers, alone. They do not want to be Preached to, they refuse to allow our children to bring their Bibles to, or have Christian clubs at school.

If the children wish to Worship Allah, or involve themselves in Witchcraft, or any other demonic belief, that is diversity, and encouraged.

What are the Righteous to do?

Fast, Pray, Cry out for the Lord’s Presence, His Power, His Wisdom and Knowledge.

We share our love for Christ, the heathen refuse to accept it. In Exodus we find the Lord saying;

“And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.” (Exodus 3:20)

The Lord let us know the importance of His Signs, Wonders and Miracles, to cause people to believe HE IS, and a rewarder of those who believe He IS. (Hebrews 11;6)

We find Jesus, with Signs, Wonders and Miracles following, that brought many to believe, and a fair number who Followed, and gave their lifes to Him.

The Lord God knows how to draw people to Himself. He has given us the Gifts of the Spirit, as the bricks to build His Tabernacle. Unfortunately, we have left those gifts on the shelf.

When we begin to please God, in our thoughts and actions, He will begin to move in our midst.

And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.” (1 Kings 8:10-11)

The Priests had pleased the Lord, Solomon had built the Temple to hold the Alter and the Tabernacle of the Lord.

They had sacrificed and dedicated the Temple to God.

When we learn to do the same, dedicate our bodies to be Holy and Acceptable. Study to renew our minds and truly believe HE IS, instead of He used to be, and maybe someday, He will again.

We will Witness His Presence once again, and not be able to hold the multitudes that we flock to Him. (Not to Ourselves).

Acts 4: 29-31

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”

Enquire more perfectly: theunfetteredpreacher

Now therefore ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him (Paul) down unto you to morrow, as though ye would enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him.” (Acts 23:15)

The Jewish Leaders, seeking to kill Paul, tried to get the Roman’s to release him to them, claiming they wanted to know ‘more perfectly’ about Jesus and the ‘Way’.

A young man told the Roman’s of this plan, so they sent Paul to Caesarea, and he ended up before Felix, to be judged. (Acts 24:22) But Felix already had a more perfect understanding of the ‘Way’, so he had Paul put into what amounted to protective custody, so that he, (Felix), would not have to make a decision.

It seems to me, that many people claim a desire to know more perfectly about the ‘Way’, but if you pay attention to their actions, it is easy to dis-prove that contention. Do they want to Know the Lord, or do they just want, fire insurance?

If their attitude and lifestyle remains as it was, they are really hoping to hedge their bets. Claiming Jesus as Savior, and never allowing Him to be Lord.

No, we need to be seeking that more perfect ‘Way.’ We can only do that by renewing our minds, daily, by the reading of the Word and Prayer and Meditation. We only find that ‘perfect Way,’ when we allow God to be in the driver’s seat of our lives.

We need to take His Yoke upon ourselves to discover, how easy and light, it is to serve the Lord, and to find the ‘rest,’ that Jesus has promised, to those who believe.

Before Jesus, the High Priest would sprinkle the Blood of perfect bulls, goats or sheep and birds, on the Alter of the Tabernacle, to attain forgiveness for the people.

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;” (Hebrews 9:11)

Christ by dieing in our place, became the perfect Tabernacle, His Blood has covered us and made us Blameless before the Father. Our bodies become His Tabernacle, the Church, the place the Living God, (the Holy Spirit), resides.

We become a Living Bible, that the world reads as we interact with others. I do not know about you, but I do not always present the Good Book. No, often I am not the man I long to be, and must come to the alter once again for forgiveness.

Thank you Jesus, that Forgiveness is always there for the truly repentant.

If we would enquire (seek to understand), more perfectly the ‘Way’, we would become a better witness for our Lord.

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” (Proverbs 4:18)

We must share what we know and be open to learn more perfectly, the ‘Way’.

And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.(Acts 18:24-26)

‘Have you received the Holy Spirit, since you believed?

Changing Seasons: theunfetteredpreacher

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9)

It has been a trying time for me, since July. Bette getting Chemo every third week, and me, I still haven’t regained my strength and endurance. (My condition, is my own fault), I do not do the exercises, the PT people recomended. Our health, is a concern but, is not what makes this time, such a trial.

The Lord, seems to be, in hiding. For several years, the Lord has been close. ( A very present help, at all times, not just troubled times). His Word was an open and exciting read. I could take almost any Scripture, and receive an understanding, (I had not had before), and compose a Post. Not so, now.

I read and search, yet there is no revalation, no quickening of my Spirit, no discernable presence of the Holy Spirit, in my prayer closet. So I read and study, knowing that this is a test.

The Holy Spirit is seeing if I will continue to trust and rely on Him, even if I cannot sense His presence. It is times like this, that I am glad to have read the Song of Solomon, and Ecclesiastes. Also the book, Hinds Feat on High Places, is that the Title?

These readings prepared me for the Dry times, the times my prayers hit the ceiling and come right back to me. seeming to never make it to the Lord. I must remember Daniel, who prayed and the Angel fought the devil, 21 days to bring God’s answer.

Some folks remind me, the Lord never leaves or forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5) David tells us He may hide His face for a season. (Psalms 27:9) Often, we make our God to be too small. We are sure we know how He must do things. Forgetting many verses that tell us.

“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.” (Ps 2:4)
“But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.” (Ps 115:3)

The how or why the Lord allows troubles, temptations, trials, sickness or even death, Are secrets that belong to the Lord. We must remember Deuteronomy 29:29. (One of my favorite Scriptures).

“The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

We have no idea whether our trials are because of the sins of the father or to Glorify God. He told us to Pray, believing and we would receive our answer. We sometimes do not want to accept His answer, and we keep asking, expecting Him to change.

WARNING!!!

In the desert they requested meat. “The Lord gave them their request, but sent leanness to their souls.” (Ps 106:15)

My desire is to climb out of this valley of dry Bones, and return to the Mountain of His holiness. (Ps 48:1)

The time is not now: Ecclesiastes 3: 17.

“I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.”

Ecclesiastes 3: 14.

“I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.”

To make ready a people: theunfetteredpreacher

When Zachariaus was told that he and Elizabeth would. in their old age, have a child. He was told his name would be John, and he would bring joy and gladness, and be filled with the Holy Spirit, from the womb.

He would be the Prophet of Prophets, to announce the coming King.

Luke 1:17

“And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

We have been given the Great Commission, to make ready a people, prepared for the Lord. We have done our best, but do we teach and preach, with power?

Do we see signs and wonders following? Or do we have the power of persuasion? Are people lining up to hear us share the Gospel?

Do they line up to hear Me? No, not a chance. lol. I share a pitiful, powerless Gospel. The Anointing is not on me, No one is healed, few are saved, lives barely change.

We must pray for a Powerful Anointing on our ministries. We need to demonstrate the Spirit and Power of God. When we accomplish that we will see Luke 1:16, become a reality today.

And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.”

Billy Graham was Anointed of God, with the Power of Persuasion. (He was an Evangelist). People heard the voice and love of the Lord, and multitudes flocked to hear, and to be touched, and changed by, the Power of the Holy Spirit.

Was Billy Graham so different from you and I?

Is it possible for us to enjoy the Anointing of God in our lives? I believe it only depends on how much of ourselves we are willing to allow the Lord to control.

Are we obedient in the seemingly meaningless things? The giving of ourselves with our time and or money?

It could be as simple as listening and praying for the lost or hurting. When we share His Yoke, our burden is light and His yoke is easy. We will find rest…

We must follow the example of Paul.

1 Corinthians 2: 4-5

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”

We have allowed man’s Wisdom to become our standard.

We no longer have the Relationship or Knowledge of the Lord, embeded within us, His Power and Wisdom, are just out of reach.

I must Seek His Face, cry out for His Anointing, allow Him to change my heart and mind, so He is all I need, and desire.

Knowing God 3: theunfetteredpreacher

It is the Holy Spirit that calls our hearts to a relationship with God. We all have the measure of Faith to believe. (Romans 12:3)

Accepting Christ, is the beginning of eternal life. We must then allow the Spirit to grow within us, by studying the Word, and accepting what it says, over what we believe it says.

We err, when we only know what we have been taught or read. (Matthew 22:29) Does what we have been taught, line up with what the Bible says? (Acts 17:11)

The Bible is our only source of Truth. Men can only share what they understand. Have we studied enough ourselves to know the truth? We are responsible, we cannot blame our teachers, if we believe false Doctrine.

Our teachers are held to higher standards, they will be held accountable, but we are held accountable also. We must confirm what we hear, with the Word of God. We must confirm it ourselves. If we are relying on what we have been taught, and not seeing it ourselves, how can we be sure it is truth.

The Lord desires to walk with us, commune with us.

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.” ( 2 Chronicles 16:9

The Hearts of men, is set to do evil: theunfetteredpreacher

The hearts of men is set to do evil.

From the KKK, BLM, Antifa and people bringing false witness; and every other group that lies, cheats and steals, determined to hurt, destroy, and cause pain to others.

Our Country has lost its way. No longer do we have speedy trials, or a presumption of inocence. We no longer give the benefit of the doubt. We are guilty till we prove ourselves inocent.

Many no longer tolerate different opinions, points of view, or discussions. The Bible spells out how we arrived at this point, and shows us how to get our Country back.

Ecclesiastes 8: 11.

“Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”

We need to arrest those who are damaging property or reputations. We must stop encouraging or tolerating violence. We must uphold the Law. The longer we allow this foolishness, the evil will continue to multiply.

As Christians, we must stand fast for our faith, for what is right, for Godly principles, and morality.

Pray for our Nation, that God will continue to bless us.

“Before God, I lie not.” theunfetteredpreacher

Galatians 1: 20

“Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.”

I guess this Blog,… is my Ministry. (Sad as it is). Almost 700 followers , and I wonder if anyone actually reads it. Or do the few that like my posts, just do so, without reading.

Am I just filling cyberspace with worthless dribble? I had hoped it would be a meaningful project. That those already saved, would be encouraged to draw closer to the Lord.

There is so much Power that His Church, is not realizing, and not expecting to experience. Why?

There is something wrong with what and how we believe. We must become like a child. Children just cry out, for food, changing, cuddling, attention.

We only cry out to God, when trouble comes to our door. The Lord answers our cries.

We need to cry out, for a closer walk, for an understanding of His Word, for a heart that Hungers and Thirsts after His Righteousness.

Jesus, tell me, am I wasting away or have I reached anyone?

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom: theunfetteredpreacher

Proverbs 3: 13-15

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.”

Happy..(Blessed, Fortunate, and to be Envied) is the man who finds Godly Wisdom.

That is quite a statement. Are you Blessed?

I know I am. I may be fighting a battle this moment, but I know in the end, (if I stay the coarse), I will be Victorious. My Victory is through Jesus. (1 Corinthians 15:57)

I am Fortunate and to be Envied, I know in whom I put my trust. It is no longer, anyone or anything but Jesus. He is with me, (in the form of His Holy Spirit), I have accepted His Yoke, and am now, resting and walking with and in His Power. (Matthew 11:29)

We need to take the next step also. We must seek God’s face to get Godly Wisdom and Understanding from His Word, and our life experiences. What should we be learning from our trials and tribulations?

We must learn to look to and trust, our Heavenly Father to give us the opportunity to walk in His love, in our dealings with others.

The Merchandise of Godly Wisdom. The Lord promises we will gain from this Wisdom. How?

He will put Wisdom in our mouths that our enemies will not be able to refute. (Luke 21:15; Acts 6:10)

When we accept Christ as Lord and Savior, He is our Wisdom. (1 Corinthians 9:4,24,30) Wisdom is the Spirit of God, given to us to build the Tabernacle for the Lord, within ourselves and others. (Luke 1:17 Colossians 1:28 Exodus 28:3; 31:3,6)

Wisdom is a Spirit, we either accept the Wisdom from God, (Jesus), or the Wisdom of the world. As we seek to bring others into the Kingdom, we must not faint, (Galatians 6:9) but continue in the Lord’s work.

A question I heard the other dsy, haunts me. ‘How many are in heaven, because of you?’

I fear there are very few. I might have driven folks the other way, by my attitude and actions.

Lord forgive me, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit of Wisdom, that I might be a profittable builder of Your Kingdom. Amen

To Know God: 2: theunfetteredpreacher

To know God, we must know Jesus. He is the Son of God, our Savior, Redeemer, and Healer, the Light of the World, the Living Word of God, the Teacher, Rabbi, and Priest. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Lord Most High, the Prince of Peace, and the Lamb of God.

He is the great I AM.

These Names discribe who Jesus is, and what He has done for us. (He is everything we need, and all I desire.) yet, there is more.

Jesus is the Word of God, and the Creator, (John 1:1-3), the Alpha and Omaga, the first and the last, the Auther and Finisher of our Faith. (Revelation 1:8, Hebrews 12:2). He is the image of the invisible God, (2 Corinthians 4:4, Colossians 1:15).

The Lord is the Administrator, God is the Operator, the Spirit Manifests the Power. (1 Corinthians 12:4-7)

Was Jesus, in the Old Testament? Is the Lord God one member of the Trinity or two? Does it matter? Very often from the Garden on, the Lord God, speaks with one voice. (Genesis 3 and beyond)

Why do some of the writings of Moses imply that the Lord and God, speak with two voices?

One saw, the other spoke. (Exodus 3:4), One gives the Spirit of the other. (Exodus 31:1-5, 35:30-33), One gave Eve Cain and Able, (Genesis 4:1-2), the other gave her Seth and Enos, (Genesis 4:25-26).

In the same chapter we find Cain leaving the presence of the Lord, and after the birth of Enos, people began to call apon the Lord. Why not the Lord God?

Could it be that we can reject the Law? Yet Grace is still available, if we seek it, and not reject the Holy Spirit?

Isn’t the rejection of the Holy Spirit, the only unforgivable sin? (Mathew 12:31-32; Mark 3:28-30)

In the book of Job, we find the Lord declaring, Job fears God and hates evil. (Job 1:1) Why not fears Me? Or Loves Me?

In Genesis 6, we see Noah finds Grace in the Sight of the Lord, because he Walks with God. the Lord is going to destroy man and all fleah, God is also, yet God gave Noah a way to escape. (build an Ark)

Is it possible that the Lord is the Law Giver, and God is Grace? We are saved because we accept God’s Grace, (Jesus, as Lord and Savior) , that is the only way to be accepted by the Father. (The Law Giver)

Remember the Old and New Testament were written in different languages. That can change the meaning of some words.

Just an interesting study. I ask you to comment, Please.

To know Jesus, is to know the Father and the Holy Spirit, they are One.

Can we Know God? 1: theunfetteredpreacher

Can we Know God?
The answer of course is yes.

God certainly desires that we all would know Him and come to the Knowledge of the Truth. (1 Timothy 2:4)

The question is, how well do we wish to know Him? Are we teachable? Or do we know, what we know, and there isn’t, anything else to know? Have we determined, we know what the Lord wants, and how He would have us, to accomplish His goals?

We need to accept this simple fact. Our God will not be manipulated by us. He is Almighty God.

“But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever He hath pleased.” (Psalm 115:3)

We all are guilty, of trying to cause Him to Work according to our understanding of His will and ways.

Sometimes we do not have the eyes to see, or the ears to hear, what He is saying to the Church. We see this from the time of Jesus, through the time of Luther, he had the Revelation that Faith, brings Salvation, not works. How is it possible that the Catholic Church is still around? The eyes and ears of those believers were not open to the Revelation of the Holy Spirit.

We need to decide whether we believe what we know, or what the Word actually says. (Acts 17:11)

We also must realize that: “God is not a man, that he should lie;” (Numbers 23:19) That: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16)

His Word is Truth, if we are nor seeing the results we expect to see, we must examine ourselves, have we done the ‘if’, that is connected to every promise?

Sometimes we stand on a Scriptures promise and we do not see the desired result. Are we doing our part? God said He would, if we do. Do we?

So many of us are ready to accept anything but what the Word actually says. This is why the Church has become all but Powerless, in our Preaching of the Gospel. Wherever Jesus went, multitudes came to see, hear and be touched by Him.

Jesus promised we would do all that He did while on the earth and more. (John 14:12-14)
He gave us the Power when He gave the Holy Spirit on the day of Penticost. If we only believed. Have you received the Holy Spirit, since you believed? (Acts 19:2)

Sorry Church, we are not experiencing all that the Lord intended us to. We can only expect that to change, as we begin to know the Lord more intimately, by the study of His Word, and the acceptance of the Holy Spirits leading and guidence.

We need the presence of the Lord, in our lifes and Church, to touch, teach and heal the lost and hurting.

“Some trust in chariots:” theunfetteredpreacher

Psalm 20: 7-9

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.”

So many friends, have helped us, after the Storm. That is still causing flooding and road closures today. As I gazed out my window last Friday morning, I was overwhelmed.

We were blessed with only minor damage, but the work required to clean up, was too much. I really didn’t know how I was going to accomplish it.

We really appreciated our trees and the shade and beauty they provided. It hurt to see them and the amount of work to cut, and remove, the debris, and to repair the fence and roof.

Bette should not bend over or pick up anything over 8 pounds. I am fine, as long as I am not doing much…lol… I run out of steam and strength too quickly, it takes a long time to complete the simplest tasks.

So once again the Lord provided the widom, strength and ability to get the job done, in the form of willing people, some we had not really met, yet, and others, who are long time friends.

The Lord used the willing. I thank them and the Lord for His everlasting mercy and love.

Lord, give me a willing heart, and the strength and ability to help others in need.

Thank you Jesus.

More Friends: theunfetteredpreacher.com

Another wonderful couple of friends came over, removed the broken limbs and branches from the trees in the our back yard, and put some tar like substance over the nails and edges where shingles were torn off our roof. (temp fix till we get some shingles).

Bonnie and Gerry, (Gary), we treasure your friendship. You have been a Blessing to us since we first attended your home group. You worked so hard today, and our other friends yesterday …. I need a couple of days to recover from all your labors. lol

I really can not repay all of you for your love, care and labor, while Bette and I continue to regain health and strength.

Please call on us, if we can in any way return the favors. Sorry there are no pictures today… I must be slipping.

Blessings

Wonderful Friends: theunfetteredpreacher.com

We arrived home from Bette’s chemo, when to my surprise we found this. Ray and Norma, Tony (the man from the corner), Christina and two of their youngest, doing the work on the tree in the front yard.

Ray, will be back with a bigger chain saw to finish it off, and to make me a replacement stand for my Anvil.

More help on the way, in the next couple of days.

Praise the Lord!!! Thank you so much.

A job thankfully done… Amen
