Can we Know God?
The answer of course is yes.
God certainly desires that we all would know Him and come to the Knowledge of the Truth. (1 Timothy 2:4)
The question is, how well do we wish to know Him? Are we teachable? Or do we know, what we know, and there isn’t, anything else to know? Have we determined, we know what the Lord wants, and how He would have us, to accomplish His goals?
We need to accept this simple fact. Our God will not be manipulated by us. He is Almighty God.
“But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever He hath pleased.” (Psalm 115:3)
We all are guilty, of trying to cause Him to Work according to our understanding of His will and ways.
Sometimes we do not have the eyes to see, or the ears to hear, what He is saying to the Church. We see this from the time of Jesus, through the time of Luther, he had the Revelation that Faith, brings Salvation, not works. How is it possible that the Catholic Church is still around? The eyes and ears of those believers were not open to the Revelation of the Holy Spirit.
We need to decide whether we believe what we know, or what the Word actually says. (Acts 17:11)
We also must realize that: “God is not a man, that he should lie;” (Numbers 23:19) That: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16)
His Word is Truth, if we are nor seeing the results we expect to see, we must examine ourselves, have we done the ‘if’, that is connected to every promise?
Sometimes we stand on a Scriptures promise and we do not see the desired result. Are we doing our part? God said He would, if we do. Do we?
So many of us are ready to accept anything but what the Word actually says. This is why the Church has become all but Powerless, in our Preaching of the Gospel. Wherever Jesus went, multitudes came to see, hear and be touched by Him.
Jesus promised we would do all that He did while on the earth and more. (John 14:12-14)
He gave us the Power when He gave the Holy Spirit on the day of Penticost. If we only believed. Have you received the Holy Spirit, since you believed? (Acts 19:2)
Sorry Church, we are not experiencing all that the Lord intended us to. We can only expect that to change, as we begin to know the Lord more intimately, by the study of His Word, and the acceptance of the Holy Spirits leading and guidence.
We need the presence of the Lord, in our lifes and Church, to touch, teach and heal the lost and hurting.

We all have the relationship we want with God.
I desire a more intimate one.
