That they may see, and know

There is a reason the Lord hardened Pharaohs heart and did many signs, wonders and miracles.

There was a reason Jesus did so many signs, wonders snd miracles.  It is the same reason He said we would do the same and more.

THAT THEY MAY SEE:

Isaiah 41:20
King James Version (KJV)
That they may see,

and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

The Lord knows a lot of us need to see to believe.

Exodus 16:32
“And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.”

2 KINGS 6:17
And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Again in 2 Kings 6:20:
Elisha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see.”

He not only wants us to see but to know.

THAT THEY MAY KNOW:

Isaiah 41:20
King James Version (KJV)
That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

Joshua 3:7
And the Lord said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.”

Psalm 109:26-27
King James Version (KJV)
Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy mercy:  That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it.

Isaiah 45:6-7
King James Version (KJV)
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else.  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.”

THAT THEY MAY CONSIDER:

Isaiah 41:20
King James Version (KJV)
That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.”

These are signs that those who have never heard should believe.  The Lord wants us to see, know and consider His Majesty.

Psalm 64:9
King James Version (KJV)
And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.”

Isaiah 52:15
So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.”

For those who know Him should see, know and:

Luke 12:27
Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

We need to realize “God will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

1 Samuel 12:24
“Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.”

Also in Isaiah 43, He wants us to know, believe and understand.

THAT THEY MAY UNDERSTAND THAT HE IS GOD:

Isaiah 43:10-11
King James Version (KJV)
Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.  I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.”

Isaiah 41:19-20
I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:

That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.”

Signs, wonders and miracles were important for people to see, know, consider and understand in the times of Moses and Jesus.

Jesus said His Disciples would do the things He did and more.

Psalm 14:2-3
King James Version (KJV)
The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

We have failed  in that we have not pressed in.  We have not accepted the Gifts (Talents), He left us, and expected us to invest in and increase.

I don’t believe many will hear, “well done”.  We have buried that which He gave.  We are not Powerful, Mighty for the pulling down of strongholds.

We see evil increasing all around us.  We lack the Power of the Spirit to prevail.  So we understand why Jesus asked His Disciples:

Mark 8:21
And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?”

They didn’t understand the death, resurection, partakingof His body and blood.  The sadest verse in the Bible, is repeated in our unbelief.

John 6:66
King James Version (KJV)
From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

He  promised that signs and wonders would follow those who believe.

I for one, will not be satisfied with my walk with Jesus, until I can turn around and see folks, healed, set free, the lame walking, the blind seeing and the dead raised.  Physically or Spiritualy.

Will anyone join me, in believing in the full work and power of the Lord?

Lord I believe….
