Simplicity: The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

All of us, whether in church, life, or at work, tend to flow with the crowd.  Trusting, contented, comfortably compliant.

Sailing along, not making waves, oblivious to any dangers that may lie in our path.

In our simplicity, we know not who we follow or where they are leading us.

A Simple Truth #2: The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

In my post A Simple Truth #1, I explained why learning to truly Praise the Lord, is how we come to know Him better.

Psalm 76
King James Version (KJV)
In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.   In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.  There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

A Simple Truth #1:

In Judah is God known:”  Judah simply means Praise.

By Praising God, we Magnify, Glorify, Exult His Majesty.  We make Him first in our lives and lead others to recognize His presence.  So let us look at:

A Simple Truth #2:
~”In Salem also is his tabernacle,
Salem, simply means peace.

image

hitchcocks-bible-names-dictionary
Salem. complete or perfect peace

Peace is where He Resides.

Isaiah 26:3
King James Version (KJV)
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

We are His Tabernacle, His home, as we learn of Him, to trust in Him, to rely on and expect Him to bless us.

As we walk in His truth.  PRAISE AND PEACE.

There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle.”

That is where we find protection from our enimies and the tools we must use to defeat them.

Find His peace, by singing, praying, meditation, repeating His Word.  It is through knowing and believing His Word we have the victory.

Saints, I cannot emphasize enough, how important it is to know Gods Word.

His promises, providence and His principles for a Godly life.

2 Simple Truths, that will allow whosoever to stand fast and quit ye like men.

When we refuse these Simple Truths our religion becomes more important than our relationship.

Our rituals more important than His presence.

Our Worship Service a form of Godliness, that denies the Power of God.

Please acknowledge, accept and practice these Simple Truths.  Allow the Lord access to your heart.

In Praise is God known.  He resides in Peace.
He keeps us in perfect peace, when our mind is on Him, when we trust in Him.

Psalm 76
King James Version (KJV)
In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.   In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.  There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

A simple truth #1: The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

A simple truth.   A truth so real to me, that it pains me when unbelievers, do not accept it.

~Jesus loves us.
~Jesus is the only way to the Father.
~Jesus gives true peace and joy.

Simple truths, not believed, laughed at, ridiculed, rejected.

Then there are the believers who refuse to believe these simple truths.

~The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is real and a special Gift, imparted to whosoever will believe.
~The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to us today to build His Church.  From the 5 fold ministry to the Gifts in 1st Corinthians 12-14.
~There is no expiration date on the gifts and calling of God, they are forever, for whosoever will, receive, (accept), them.

Simple truths, not believed, laughed at, ridiculed,

It truly pains me when these simple truths are rejected by mankind, but there are other simple truths we need to recognize also.

The simple truths we find Psalm 76 for example.

Psalm 76:1-3
King James Version (KJV)
In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.   In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.   There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.”

Simple truth #1:
~In Judah is God known:

The word Judah simply means praise.  It was first revealed in the story of Jacob and Leah, the unloved wife.

She was the first to bear children for Jacob.  They were named for the Lords reaction to her prayers.  (Please check out the entire story).

Genesis 29:31-35  (selected parts)
King James Version (KJV)
And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.”

And Leah conceived, a son, and she called him Reuben: for, Surely the Lord hath looked upon my affliction;”  Reuben, means, looked or saw.

And she bare a son; and said, Because the Lord heard I was hated, she called his name Simeon.”  Simeon, means heard or listened.

And she bare a son; Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, his name is called Levi.”  Levi, means joined.  (Our job as Gods Levites today is to join men to Him).

And she bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the Lord: she called his name Judah;”
Judah simply means PRAISE.

Simple truth #1
~In Praise is God known.
A Simple truth, not believed, laughed at, ridiculed, rejected by the quiet, reverent churchs.

They complain about the 7\11 choruses, not understanding, the Power of repetition for memorizing and meditation of the Word.  It seems to be ok to memorize the multiplication tables, but not the Word of God.

Singing and repeating Gods truths, builds us up in Him, makes us strong, gives us the Word in our hearts in our time of need.

To know God is to sing, tell, yell and play His PRAISE.  SHOUT UNTO GOD WITH A VOICE OF TRIUMPH.

Let the world know of His love of us and our love of Him.  We gain knowledge and power in PRAISE.

Psalm 22:3
King James Version (KJV)
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

We are Gods chosen people today.

He inhabits our Praise.

If we would learn to Praise as a church, we could see, people comming to Salvation, our families finding peace and joy, maybe even those in need  healed.

Praise shows Gods Name great.  We Magnify,   Glorify, Exult, Worship, lift high….as we humble ourselves and recognize His Majesty.

A Simple Truth #1:
~Please learn to let go and let God lead you into true praise.

image

As you sing and repeat Gods word, you can lose yourself in the joy and majesty, love and peace of God.

The never ending cycle: The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

Lord, thank You for the work You’ve sent us this month.
Lord, please send us some work.
Lord, thank You for providing all my needs, according to Your riches in glory, in Christ Jesus.
Lord, please meet out needs, today.
Lord, I thank You for giving us strength and health, the ability to do what is needed.
Lord, help me, now, today, I am weak, hurt, confused….
Lord, help please.
Lord, give us this day, our daily bread.

The Lord knows what we have need of, before we ask Him.  So why must we ask?  Why must we thank Him?

The birds and flowers just keep on without thought.   The truth is most of us just keep on without thinking also.

When we give thanks, when we pray, we are acknowledging His place and position as Lord, Master, Provider, the Lover of our souls.

I am embarassed to always need work, to ask for prayer for work. (What do people think?).

I also realize, I do not always remember to thank Him for the work He has sent.

Our lack may be Gods way of reminding us where our provision comes from.

Give us this day…..

If we would take His Yoke and walk with Him daily, I believe our needs would be met.

We end up pleading, asking, praying for that which is ours already through and in Christ.

As we learn to stay beside Him, trust and rely on Him, learn of Him, lean on Him, love Him.

He supplies all our needs, wants and the  desires of our hearts, because He has given us His Godly desires.

UNBELIEVING BELIEVERS – 3/12/16

image

I spent Saturday with two of my brothers-in- law, at this Baptist Bible Conference.   1533 attendees,  powerful music, inspired speakers, wonderful fellowship.

I heard and appreciated teaching on Regeneration, Sanctification, Justification, from  men who had spent a lifetime in study and love of the Word.

image

It is an awesome responsibility to lead so many lovers of God to truth and life.

I heard a wonderful word from the book of Joshua. “Moses my servant is dead;”  how that semi colon represented the end of an era;  with a pomise of more.

We learned how the land had been promised to Gods people in the time of Abraham, and it was now time (after years of bondage), to cross the Jorden and claim it as their own.

So it pierced my heart to hear the rejection  of the promise of the Lord for us today.

The Holy Spirit and His Gifts were given so that believers would have Power and Authority to build His Kingdom today.

The lack of faith to receive and increase these gifts today, is the same evil heart of unbelief that kept them in the desert for forty years.

Unbelieving Believers;  there is still time to enter into the promise, ask, seek and knock.

The Lord will give His Spirit to whosoever will receive it.  Like Salvation, we must seek it.  Seek life…..Seek the Spirit of the living God.

image

1533 men who love God have left and gone back into the world, with more Biblical Knowlege.

Sadly, because of unbelief, they are not leaving in the Power and Authority promised by our Lord.

image

Ignoring the Spirit, is not wanting to know the truth.

Ridiculing the Gifts is too close to Blasphymy for me to be comfortable.  Lord, forgive them, they know not what they do.

Lord, send forth Your Spirit of Truth.  Empower Your People.  Amen

Pauls Impossible Dream: The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

In almost all Pauls letters, he prays for the recipients; and through the  mystery of the Kingdom of God, for us.

He prays for the humanly impossible.  He prays that we will “Walk Worthy” of our calling.

Ephesians 4:1-2
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,  With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;”

He desires our lives be a Godly Witness to those who have not recognized Jesus as Lord and Savior.  To be a light in the darkness to show them the way.

He would have us put others needs above our own, be full of the fruit of the Spirit, learn to love one another.

His desire is we constantly grow in knowlege, insight and relationship in Jesus, that we would be “worthy“, of His Sacrifice for us.

That we might be perfect and comlete in Him, Blameless, trusting solely in His love, provision and protection.

If I look at my life, it is an impossible dream.

If I turn my eyes apon Jesus, He will bring it to pass.

I share Pauls impossible dream, and trust Jesus to make it so.  Thank You Lord.  Amen

These Things: The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

John is an interesting writer.

In 1 John we find him telling us why he wrote the letter:  “And these things write we unto you, That your joy might be full.”  Our JOY, is the first of about 12 reasons listed in this letter..

What had he written?

image

That Jesus was alive, that he, (John), and others had witnessed and experienced His Love, Grace, Mercy, Power and Might, as well as His death and resurection.  That Jesus is real and we can know Him.

That the same Relationship, (Fellowship), with Jesus that they had, is available to everyone of us today. To Whosoever, will Abide in Him.

In the book of John we find him explaining why he is telling us these things.  Again “joy”, is a big reason.

John 15:11
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

What was he writing about here?

How we must learn to Abide in Him as He Abides in the Father.  That if we do, our prayers would be answered.  That we would bear much fruit, that the Father will be Glorified.  That His joy will Abide in us and that our joy will be full.

That the Father loves us as Jesus loves us.  That we must love one another.

Do you desire fullness of joy?

Learn to Abide, live, love and walk with Jesus.

Jesus would also have us live in peace, in the midst of the coming storms, He wants us to realize He is within, an ever present help in times of trouble, that He will never leave us or forsake us.

John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

John 16:4
But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

John 16:6
But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.”

John 16:1
These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.”

We should know, God is in control, we must walk through the circumstances that come our way, expecting the Lord to Guide, Direct and Protect us as we are true to Him.

As we do, we will discover  “Joy unspeakable and fullness of Glory”.

image

Lord, help us please to live in “Fullness of Joy”.  Thank You.  Amen

Do you understand your calling? The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

As a young Christian, I was so concerned.  I wanting to be, and to do, all the Lord would have  me to be and do.

My desire was to:
make my calling and election sure
and to become one of the:
partakers of the heavenly calling“,
knowing He had:
called me with an holy calling,”

In the sincere hope that:
God would count me worthy of this calling
and that I would attain:
the prize of the high calling

Knowing once again, I was:
called in one hope of my calling;”
and that I would:
abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

I understood that the:
gifts and calling of God are without repentance.”
and He has:
called us to glory and virtue and
unto his eternal glory

I needed to realize, that:
God hath called me to peace. and
the Lord had called me to preach the gospel“.

Maybe not in a pulpit, but in my everyday life, my witness a call to the world, that Christ is alive and would have all to come to a saving knowledge.

image

I still struggle to fulfill the calling of God.

Lord, help me to be an instrument you can share your love and grace through.  Amen
