The Land of Giants: theunfetteredpreacher

We live in the Land of Giants.

Not Goliath, (1 Samual 17), who David slew with a sling. Or Og, whose bed was over 13.5 feet long and 6 feet wide. (Deuteronomy 3)

Or even Andre the Giant, 7 foot 4 inches tall.

The Giants we fight today, are more dangerous and deadly.

When Joshua led the Hebrews into the Promised land, they were commanded to slay the Giants and inhabit the land.

When we are saved, we need to slay the Giants in our lives and inherit the promised land.

What are our Giants?

Loneliness, alcoholism, fear, depression, lust, pride, nicotine, rejection, drugs.

On a National scale, the belief that there are more than 2 genders.

The promotion, legalization, and normalization of Gay Marriage. We have LGBTQ people portrayed on every TV show, (They must be a Huge Minority to get that much coverage), They aren’t, and of course man-caused Climate Change.

Then there is the specter of Socialism.

I do not hate any of the folks, that believe these things or fight these addictions or delusions. It just grieves my spirit.

The problem stems from both what our public schools and colleges teach, and the lack of sound Biblical Teaching, in our Churches.

It seems that most Christians are happy to be taught the Gospel, and not search the Word themselves. Like in the time of Moses, tell us what God wants, and we’ll do it.

It was a problem then and still is today.

Walking with God is a very personal experience. There are many Scriptures, that point out it is our responsibility to study and live the Word. (2 Timothy 2:15; Romans 12)

The Word, like manna, needs to be gathered daily, to receive our nutritional needs, to grow in our faith.

We need to long for a closer relationship with Him, to seek Him, to know Him and serve Him.

Attuned to the Spirit: theunfetteredpreacher

Attuned:

  • : to cause (a person, company, etc.) to have a better understanding of what is needed or wanted by a particular person or group. (Webster)

Paul was Attuned, or in tune with the Holy Spirit. He was Zealous in his Faith, and Desire to serve the God he knew.

A religious Jew, defending the Law, and Will of God. Then he met the Lord and became attuned to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

He wasn’t and isn’t alone. We all can be in tune with and led by, the Spirit of God. (There is more to the Holy Spirit than Speaking in Tongues).

Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert, to be tried by Satan. (Mathew 4:1). Phillip was led to the Ethiopian man, to explain the gospel, and was then translated to another country. (Acts 8:29, 8:39)

The Spirit spoke to Peter and gave him both a Word of Knowledge and a Word of Wisdom. that the unclean can be cleansed (Acts 10-11)

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Teacher, the Spirit of Truth, that Jesus sent to us to give us the Power to build His Church.

in acts 16, we find Paul following the directions of the Holy Spirit.

He with Timothy traveled through the cities and established the Churches in the Faith, and they increased in number daily. (Acts 16:5)

As they traveled they ‘were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,’ (:6)

They attempted to go elsewhere, ‘but the Spirit suffered them not.‘ (:7)

When they entered Troas, ‘a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.‘ (:9)

After receiving the vision, they were sure of the Lord’s direction and traveled to Philippi. (:12)

While there, the Lord opened the heart of a woman, who had them stay at her home and provided for them.

As they went to prayer a woman possed with the spirit of divination, (a fortune teller, an evil spirit).

The spirit was cast out by Paul in the Power of the Holy Spirit. Paul and Timothy were beaten and thrust into the inner prison their feet in stocks. (:14-24)

At midnight they prayed and praised God. resulting in an earthquake, their shackles being broken and the cells opening. (:25,26)

The jailer was saved, and his household. (:30-34)

We find following the lead of the Holy Spirit, brings us into a realm of Power, to save, deliver, and cause earthquakes.

I am convinced that whosoever is willing can become attuned to the Spirit and the Church can be empowered and enlarged daily

2 Corinthians 13: 14.

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost be with you all. Amen.”

To be in tune with, or in communion with the Holy Spirit is one of the benefits of accepting not just Salvation, but the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Please study the Word. See what it says. Receive what to believe from the source, the Holy Spirit will guide you to all Truth.

If there is a conflict between what you were taught and the Word, THE WORD IS YOUR GUIDE.

Not man’s interpretation.

Can You See? theunfetteredpreacher

“Seeing is believing.”

We have heard this all our lives. It has been true since the Creation of man. When Adam and Eve, Saw that they were Naked, they knew, they had sinned. (Genisis 3:7)

So they hid.

God saw the Righteousness in Noah and told him to build an Ark. (Genisis 7:1)

Noah sent a Dove, to see if the waters had abated. (Genisis 8:8)

David saw Bathsheba yet didn’t realize how far he had fallen, until Nathan the Profit, made him see, and rebuked him. (2 Samual 12:7)

Do we have the same problem as the Hebrews?

Deuteronomy 29: 2.

And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land; The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles: Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.’

Not really. The Church today doesn’t see and experience the Signs, Wonders and Miracles of God.

One of my favorite scriptures is in Isaiah 41:19-20.

Isaiah 41: 19.

I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.”

When John the Baptist, in a time of doubt, sent his disciples to Jesus to ask, Are You the One?

Jesus told them to tell John what they had seen and heard. (Like 7:22). The sick healed the dead raised, all of the miracles He performed.

We should be seeking the tools the Lord sent to build His Church. We somehow refuse. We bury the Talents the Holy Spirit delivered to us.

The Gifts are sitting on our mantle, unopened, unused, and not recognized. People need to see, know, consider, and understand, that the Lord He is God and that He has given us the job of building His Church.

I am disappointed in myself, for not seeking His face, for not being the obedient Servant, He has called me to be.

Only Believe…. Why do we not?

Paul’s Prayer in Ephesians: theunfetteredpreacher

The Prayer in Ephesians 1, is a prayer for mature Christians. It is about Spiritual Growth, not Temporal Troubles.

He still gives thanks for believers, still prays without ceasing for them, but a totally different prayer. He is no longer centered on the relationships between people, he is now encouraging a deeper relationship with Jesus.

At this point, it is all about Spiritual awareness. He is pointing the way to a stronger, more Powerful Church. A people worthy of the Name, ‘Christian.’ He gave us more than a Gospel of Words, He gave us the Kingdom of God. The Righteousness Peace and Joy, of the Holy Spirit.

Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
Romans 15:19

Paul, knew he needed the Power of the Spirit of God, the Signs and Wonders following, to FULLY PREACH THE GOSPEL.

It saddens me, that today so many have given up on realizing the Power of God, in their ministry. That Power is available today. Jesus said, ‘only believe’. Why can we not grasp this simple concept?

The people who have walked in that Power, from the time of Jesus on, have had a special bond with the Lord. Like John the Beloved they have learned to lean on the breast of Jesus. To put on His Yoke and walk with Him.

The Fulness of Christ resides within us. We need to forget our wants, desires, plans and ambitions, and let the Holy Spirit lead us in His path. Am I supposed to be here in NC, playing the piano?

To tell you the truth, I have no idea, but I will be here with my hand on the plow until I receive a different Word from the Lord. I trust He can find and direct me when He decides I am ready for His Work.

Ephesians 1: 15-23
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16. Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23. Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

How we pray, matters: theunfetteredpreacher

GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!!

Do we realize the effect our prayers can have on others? In 1 Kings 3:3-10, we find Solomons most famous prayer.

‘Solomon loved the Lord and walked in His ways, as did his Father, David.’ At the time there was no house of the Lord so he sacrificed, in the high places.

The Lord appeared to him in a dream, and God said, what shall I give thee?

My thoughts start here. Do I love the Lord, as much as David and Solomon? (I would like to believe so, but I don’t, really.) How can I tell? My prayers.

There was another King of the Jews, Hezekiah, His prayer had a very different starting point. (Isaiah 38:1-2)

Hezekiah Was sick unto death, Isaiah the prophet came to him, told him to put his house in order, for he was going to die. ‘Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed.’

How often do I turn my face to the wall and pray? When trouble surrounds me, and I see no way out. Oh, there are plenty of times I pray, when things are well, but what do I pray?

Solomon loved the Lord and Loved the Lord’s people. His prayers were to know how to righteously rule and judge them. The Lord simply told him to continue to walk in His ways.

Saints, that is what Jesus told us. ‘This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.‘ (John 15:12) We also hear this from Paul, Peter, and John the beloved. (Romans 13:8, 1 Peter 1:22, 1 John 3:11)

I am concerned that our prayers are not how to rightly walk and serve the Lord, but are closer to Hezekiah’s prayer.

‘And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.’ (Isaiah 38:3)

Please do not misunderstand, we often must remind the Lord of his promises. (Exodus 32:9-14) Yet we should not have to remind Him of what we have done. That Isaiah had to come to him, instead of the Lord, should speak volumes.

Yes, he was a good King, he prayed an ‘Effectual fervent prayer,’ (James 5:15) His problem as is mine, ‘Me, Myself and I.’

Solomon and Paul showed us how to pray for others, not for their Temporal needs, but their Spiritual Reality. What else is our purpose here on earth? The Lord clothes the flowers and feeds the birds. How much more does He love and care for us?

Both Solomon and Hezekiah’s, prayers were answered, The people did well even after Solomon fell into sin. But Israel had a King from the lineage of David till they fell away.

The people did well till Hezekiah died. Hezekiah was ‘pleased there would be peace until his death.’ He never considered their future in Slavery. (Isaiah 39:5-8)

How well do our prayers stand against theirs?

Mine are so often about Me and what I could be doing for the Lord if He would just understand my magnificence. (LOL)

He obviously does know me and limits the damage I can cause. Is that what constrains you?

It hinders my prayers because they are inward, about me, we must concentrate on the needs of others, and the Majesty of God.

See that thou do all those wonders: theunfetteredpreacher

Psalm 145:4-6

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.”

In both the Old and New Testament, we find God, doing things beyond our human abilities, to Prove that He is God. After showing Moses the wonders of His power, (the staff turned to a snake and back, and also the leprous hand).

The Lord, tells Moses to, “See that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.” (Exodus 4:21)

In the New Testament, we find; “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” (Acts 10:38)

At one point in the Temple, the Word tells us ‘the Power of God was present to heal.’ (Luke 5:17)

So why are we not seeing the Power of God in our Churches today? Why do so many of our prayers, seem to hit the ceiling and return unanswered?

Are we praying Gods Word and are we willing, to do Gods will? What is the measure of our Faith? Jesus said many times: ‘Only Believe’ (Mark 5:36; Luke 8:20; John 3:16-18; Phillippians 1:29) Jesus also asked; ‘Where is your Faith?’ (Luke 8:25)

Several Scriptures link the Holy Spirit and Power. (Luke 1:35; Acts 1:8,10:38; Romans 15:13; 1 Thessalonians 1:5)

So once again why are we not experiencing Gods Miracles, Signs and Wonders, in our Churches and daily life?

The Lord is no respecter of people, (Acts 10:34-35; Romans 2:1-12; Colossians 3:24-25; James 2:1 respect one over another, by dress, finances, etcetera).

This just points out, that it is up to us to draw close to God, to Trust and Walk with Him, in obedience and love. James sums it up this way: (2:17-26)

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

James 4:1-10

From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?

Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.’

Do we really believe? Should we ask move than once? Is that Faith? Are we asking for something within His will? Do we do the Work of Faith? Do we humble ourselves?

I know in my life, Pride often lifts it’s ugly head. I often tell myself, I could do that better, faster, harder, etcetera. Why, Oh why won’t God do things my way?

I thank the Lord that In His Time, He will have formed me into His image, and I will do that which will please Him. How about you? Can you think of anything that would hinder the Lord granting your request?

Is there unrepented sin, in your life? Have you grown in your Faith? Do you Trust He has your best interests at heart?

Jesus begins His Ministry: theunfetteredpreacherⁿ

In the first chapter of John, we find the beginning of the Ministry of Jesus. John the Baptist is calling on people to Repent and be Baptized. The priests, Levite, and Pharisees asked ‘Who art Thou?’ He told them, he was not the Christ, but the Christ was among them and would Baptize them in the Holy Spirit.

He was asked, Why do you preach, if you are not Him? ‘He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

‘Why do you Baptize?’ ‘I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; He who is coming after I is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.’

The next day John saw Jesus: ‘Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. This is he of whom I said After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.’

‘He that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.’

Andrew was one who heard John the Baptist proclaim Jesus as the Messiah, the anointed one. Andrew heard, saw, considered and believed, and brought his brother Simon to Jesus. Jesus changed Simons name, to Cephas, a stone.

Jesus, the next day went to Galilee and found Phillip, Phillip brought Nathaniel, who asked, ‘Can any good come out of Nazareth?’

Jesus had both a Word of Wisdom about Phillip, that he would accept and follow Jesus. With Nathanael, both a Word of Wisdom and a Word of Knowledge. He saw him under the fig tree and knew he would follow Him.

He told Nathanial, he would see the angels of God ascending and descending, from heaven, on the Son of Man, Jesus. (John 1:1-51)

Jesus picked these to follow Him, because He had the knowledge and wisdom from God, that they would be true believers.

The word preached did not profit them: theunfetteredpreacher

Hebrews 4: 2.

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”

The word preached did not profit them

If it was the same Gospel that was preached to us, why did it not profit them? Why was it not mixed with Faith? ‘Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.‘ (Romans 10:17)

Could they not hear, or is there another reason?

Are we really Preaching the Full Gospel?

Paul stated in Romans 15:19, that in his travels he had ‘FULLY PREACHED THE GOSPEL, through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God;’

The Evangelical Church has the first half of the Gospel down pat. All have sinned. (Romans 3:23) The wages on is death. (Romans 6:23) We must Confess and Believe. (Romans 10:9-10) This is a great start, but not the full story.

Jesus gave us His example:

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. (Acts 10:38)

Matthew 4:23
And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people.

Jesus taught, preached and healed wherever He was. He sent out His disciples to do the same. (Luke 9:2,6)

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing everywhere.”

Mark 6:12-13

And they went out and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.”

Do we have Faith today? It is easy for people to Preach, Teach, and Proclaim the need for Repentance and Salvation, and we do this with varying results.

What we cannot do is have the signs, wonders, and miracles, as the Lord, commanded, by our own power. The Gospel was not mixed with Faith, so it did not Profit Them.

We must be Spiritually connected and obedient to His Word and Will, we must see, know, consider, and understand that our God is Mighty and able to do that He has commanded. (Isaiah 40:20)

May we must seek wisdom, knowledge, and faith. John the Baptist sent his disciples to Jesus to ask, “Are you the one?” (Matthew 11:3)

The answer Jesus gave them tells us how to remain full of Faith.

Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.”. (Matthew 11:4-5)

We need to Fast, Pray, Repent and ask the Lord to return His Mighty Power to the Church, (us). We need to see His signs, wonders and miracles following.9

The thing displeased Samuel: theunfetteredpreacher

“The thing displeased Samuel:” (1 Samuel 8: 6)

Samuel was displeased because the people wanted to be like the everyone else, and have a King, instead of the Lord. (Is it any different today?) Are Christians just a subset of the population of the world or are we truly different?

Are we Holy, Sanctified, and Crucified? Or Justified, Self Satisfied, and Perfect, in our minds. Are we Followers and Believers in Christ? Or in our church doctrine?

Sadly, people seem to be loyal to their church, and their personal Bibles, (we all have them, the verses we accept and live by, and verses that are no longer applicable.) We then are dismissive of the Word today.

The Lord told Samuel, that ‘the people were not rejecting him, but Me, from reigning over them.’ (1 Samuel 8:7)

I am displeased, troubled, and saddened. These people who I am convinced love the Lord, WILL NOT, ACCEPT OR DISCUSS THE WORD OF GOD, that they had not been made aware of before.

They will not look at, believe, or accept that there may be more to Christianity then they acknowledge.

Lord, is it time to shake the dust off my feet and move on, or am I where I belong?

This is a snapshot of how Fritz sleeps if he sneaks in the bed when we vacate it. It is also how I view the folks who refuse to accept God’s Word as the be all and end all. The lost was once my burden, now that I have experienced a Church that Loves the Lord, but rejects His Power and Life, my burden is with those who believe but reject the best the Lord has for us.

The Archangel; Michael: theunfetteredpreacher.com

Archangels, are the leaders of the angels. Michael, is one of the most important angels (Daniel 10:13 Expanded Bible) Michael, the angel ruling over your people [your prince]. (Daniel 10:21 Expanded Bible.) Michael, the great prince who ·protects, [stands by] your people. (Daniel 12:1 Expanded Bible)

There are only two verses in the Bible that mention Archangels, by name.

1 Thessalonians 4:16

“For the Lord, himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:”

Jude 1:9

“Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.”

Michael the Archangel is the chief warrior Angel of the Lord.

The Future: Revelation 12:7-9

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

The Past: 2 Kings 6:15-17

“And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, a host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”

Today: Ephesians 6:10-12

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The Lord allows Satan to test us, try us, prove us.

Job 1:12

“And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.”

Job 2:6

“And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand, but save his life.”

Daniel is the only Bible character, that had dealings with two different Archangels, Micheal and Gabriel. Micheal is the Lord’s warrior.

Micheal, comes into Daniels life, because of his prayer.

Daniel

10:2-5

“In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel; Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:”

7-9

“And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.”

11-13

“And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.”

Spiritual Warfare is real, and an ever-present part of our Christian life. We must learn to trust and pray until we touch the Hem of his Garment.

as many as touched him were made whole.‘ (Mark 6:56c)

I saw the Lord: theunfetteredpreacher

“In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.”

The angels cried Holy, the angels cried Holy, the angels cried Holy is the Lord. (Isaiah 6:1,3)

This is one of my favorite songs to sing and play. Isaiah has the only two verses that mention seraphim in the Bible. While the Cherubims had the job to protect the Tree of Life. (Jesus) The seraphim job is to reign praise and worship on to the Lord. (Yahway)

They also are the ones who reasure us of our salvation. The Alter with the blood of Jesus, and the Fire of the Holy Spirit, to assure us of our worth to the Lord. He Asks Who will Go. Like Isaiah and Samuel, our answer should be ‘Here I am Lord, send me.’ (Isaiah 6:4-7)

While the cherubs had four wings, the Seraphim’s have 6. Two, to cover their face, (They cannot even look upon God), Two, to cover their feet, and bodies. Two for flying. (Isaiah 6:2)

Revelation 4:5-11

“And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. And before the throne, there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

Cherub and Seraphim are closely related. I do not believe all had four or six wings or four faces. Like humans, they are all individuals. with specific duties and responsibilities. All in the service of the Lord or God.

6 Requirements for Kingdom Christians: by Lee Allen Howard

https://wp.me/p9jVwt-cg

A wonderful basic teaching for those who love the Lord

The First Angels: theunfetteredpreacher.com

In Luke 10:18-20Jesus had sent out 70, 2 by 2, to preach the Kingdom of God. We find them returning, with Joy, that the sick were healed and devils were subject to them.

In verse 18, we find Jesus saying.

“I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Angels appear to be the first of God’s Creation, to have Freewill. Most chose God, a third joined satan and rebelled. (Revelation 12:4)

Who was this satan? We find he was the highest of the Angels, possibly the Praise and Worship leader. (Revelation 4:8, Isaiah 6:3), ((leading the seraphim)).

In Ezekiel 28:14, he is called ‘The anointed Cherub. He was adorned with very precious jewels, (Ezekiel 28:13), he was full of wisdom, perfect in beauty, (Ezekial 28:12b). Why then did he fall?

Ezekiel 28: 15. “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from. the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.”

In Isaiah 14:12-15 We find he is full of Pride, he wanted and thought he was God, he was sent to earth, from heaven, even though he was free to come before God. (Job)

His mission on earth?

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

The mission of Satan. To Kill, Steal and Destroy. He uses the three Temptations.

1 John 2:15-17

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

He used the three temptations on Eve and Adam.

Genesis 3: 4.

“the woman saw that the tree was good for food,” lust of the Flesh

“pleasant to the eyes,” lust of the eyes

desired to make one wise,” pride of life

Satan, was successful in causing man to fall. He actually killed them, Spiritually. We see the same temptations less successfully used on Jesus.

Luke 4:2-14

“command this stone that it be made bread.” lust of the flesh. Jesus’s answer: “It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”

“shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world” lust of the eye. Jesus answered: “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

“If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:” pride of life. Jesus said: Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.”

Jesus was tempted externally, we can be also, yet most of our temptations come from within.

James 1:12-15

“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

When David saw Bathsheba, it was lust, his lust that was enticing him, he was drawn away from Righteousness, causing him to sin, and on to greater sin. If he had not repented, his Spiritual life would have been lost.

I am convinced that if Adam had manned up, he would have been forgiven and remained in the Garden.

We see a lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and the pride of life, throughout he Bible. We need to follow David’s example, and confess and repent. Enter into the holy of holies, to find grace and mercy in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

Heal the sick that are there: theunfetteredpreacher.com

And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. (Luke 10:9)

The Tenth chapter of Luke is a field ripe for the Harvest. (The home of many a message).

First seventy are sent out 2 by 2, they were told to take nothing with them. They were to stay where their peace remained, to be fed and cared for by those who recieved the Word of God, And they were to ‘heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

They returned with Joy, saying, ‘even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

Jesus replied: I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.‘ (Luke 10)

If the sick are not healed, is the Kingdom of God not nigh?

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.‘ ‘And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. (Luke 9:2,11)

Healing is tied to the ‘Preaching of the Kingdom of God.’ Jesus often said: “ONLY BELIEVE” When people heard that Jesus was there, they followed.

Do we Believe?

Here I am, wondering far afield of my desired message. Luke 10, goes on to tell us about the Good Samaritan, and Martha and Mary, who chose to sit at His feet.

While I sat at His feet, I realized the Angels, preceded us in the realm of Freewill.

I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” (Luke 10:18) Why did Satan and his angels fall from heaven?

Isaiah 14:12-15

‘How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.’

Pride, the original sin, ‘I will be like God.’ Satan used it against Eve. (Genesis 3:5-6)

Satan is the God of this world, and his angels his messengers, who kill, steal and destroy. (John 10:10) They are the ones who tempt us, draw us away from the Lord. They invade our minds and spirits, we become sick, die spiritualy, can be possesed by these wicked spirits.

Jesus gives us a way to escape. ‘Submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee.’ (James 4:7)

He may turn us over to the devil, that we might be saved. (1 Corinthians 5:5)

‘To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” (Fornicators)

Satan and his messengers only have the power to hurt us, if we don’t call on and trust in the Lord.
