I have wrtten about Epaphras before, but I believe we can learn alot by his example.
He is only mentioned 4 times, in the Word, 3 of which are in Colossians. We find Paul singing his praise, so he must have had something on the ball.
Paul called him a fellow servant; a love, or bond slave of Jesus. Who spoke of the church of the Colossians as having a love of the Spirit.
Who was Epaphras?
“our dear fellowservant,”
“who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;”
“Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.”
Epaphras: “saluteth you,”
“always labouring fervently for you in prayers,”
“For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you,”
This causes Paul and those with him to pray for the church. (Colossians 1). For this cause…..Why? Because Epaphras:
“he hath a great zeal for you.”
If we could only pray this simple prayer one for another…the Church would grow strong again in the Power of our Lord.
To pray:
“that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”
Few words, such power…stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
A simple prayer, that will change the course of peoples lives. To find and be in Gods perfect will….
Lord, please help me….
I pray that “you will stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”

I have never noticed the name Epaphras in the Colossians even though I have read Colossians a couple of times at least. Thank you for helping me notice and also for guiding me to read this portion once more and with a new understanding.
