partakers of? – The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

Do you realize how much we partake in, (share, take part of or become like), the things and qualities of the world, or of God?   We really need to become more aware of what is entering our minds, bodies and souls.

Is it life and truth or death and destruction?

Romans 15:27
“For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things,”

We have been made partakers of the Spiritual,  why do we not pursue it, embrace it, become one with it?  Why?

Because it takes faith and faith is action.  It is not just knowing and we need to know, we must act on that knowledge.   Pray for the sick, share the Gospel,  give to those in need.

1 Corinthians 10:21
“ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.”

Sorry saints, this appears to be my favorite game.  How about you?

I love the things of God, but my Natural Man, REFUSES TO STAY DEAD.  My worldly lusts and desires win over my Spiritual needs.  This my friend should not be so.

In 2 Peter 1:4 we have a precious promise.
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

How to escape?  How do we take part of the “divine nature?.  2 Peter says:

We have:  “obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:”  (Peters faith, the faith of the Disciples ).

He has:   “given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”

We have the tools, they sit rusting in the corner.  Pick them up, learn to use them. Go out and build the Kingdom.

Ephesians 3:6
the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:”

We have the authority, the ability and just lack the ambition and determination to succeed.

Philippians 1:7
“ye all are partakers of my grace.”  (Salvation)
Hebrews 3:14
“For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;”
1 Peter 4:13
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
2 Corinthians 1:7
And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.”
Colossians 1:12
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:”

We must hold tightly to our faith, to grow ever closer to the Lord.

Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.”

Please notice, made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the Word and Powers.

We the Church should be tasting the Powers of the Holy Spirit. …this comes from knowing the Word  and acting in Faith.

Revelation 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

Help us to not be partakers of sin, please Lord.

Thanks for visiting, come back soon.

  1. It is amazing to think how many Christians partake in “worldly” pleasures when they have an invitation to partake in the divine. What an adventure a person can have when he/she is thoroughly sold out to God!
