Given unto us:

Have you ever considered the wonders the Lord has “given unto us”?  In the Old Testament the Blessings were tangible, physical, observable.

“unto us is this land given in possession.”  

We see land promised and given to Gods people as a measure of the Lords pleasure.  If He was really pleased:

“because we have sought the Lord our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.”

Land and prosperity, rest, all ways to see and understand the love of The Lord.

Starting in the New Testament we find a New Way a New Gift from the Lord.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:”

No longer do we need the blood of sheep and goats to find Grace and Mercy in the sight of a Jealous God.

He has given His beloved Son for the Sacrifice.

“I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter.”

God in His infinite Grace and Mercy has given us Wisdom and Might to defeat the enemy and cause us to know His victory.

Only because we accept His Son as Lord and Savior.   Jesus promised to send a Comforter,  a teacher,  someone to lead us to Truth.

“God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.”

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

“God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.”

“But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.”

.What a Blessing to have been given “The Holy Spirit “, to reside within, to draw us ever closer to the Holy  of Hollies.   The Presence of the Father.

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”

He has called us to Glory,   which is  Biblically discribed,  as wealth, abundace, blessings;  and Virtue, which is moral rightness,  certainty and Victory over Sin.

“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

Great and Precious Promises;  a jewel found in a field, we give our all to receive and gain so much more.

In 2 Peter 1 the writer gives us a map to attain the Victory:

2 Peter: 1:5-8

“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.   For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

We must cultivate the Fruit of the Spirit,  give Him plenty of food (read the Word),
Also to grow, the fruit needs water, (prayer).

The  Lord has given us a great and precious gift, Himself in the form of the Holy Spirit.   Treasure Him, Love Him, Worship, Praise Him, acknowledge Him in all your ways.

Prosper in the Presence of the Lord.
