One of my favorite songs and Psalms.   Lively, upbeat, hopeful, the Word. Truth, for today.

Do you believe it?  Today let’s look at what the Lord has promised us.

“the Lord will give grace and glory:”

The Lord will give Grace:

    》When?  What is Grace?  We are told and I believe it to be, Gods unmerited favor and mercy.

I have struggled with this definition for years and  after much study have decided that Grace is Salvation.  Salvation  (Grace), is available  today, today is the day to accept Christ as Lord.

Noah found Grace in the Lords sight, and was saved from the flood.

Paul, when speaking of sin couples it with Grace, (Salvation).

Romans 5:21

Ephesians 1:7

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”

“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)”

The Lord will give Glory:
     》What is Glory?   Abundance, wealth and treasure.
Genesis 31:1

“And he heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father’s; and of that which was our father’s hath he gotten all this glory.”

Matthew 4:8

“Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;”

Revelation 21:22-24

“And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.”

Glory is  Honour, dignity of God :

Psalm 19:1

“But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:”

I could give you many more scriptures dealing with Glory.  The bottom line is we bring Glory to God in our service and He Gives Glory, Honour and Dignity. 

(Dare I  mention abundance, wealth….some think we must be poor and suffering to serve God).
