John 10:10
King James Version (KJV)
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
He has come that we might (may, would) have life and might (may, would) have it more abundantly.
Saints I do not see any translation that says we will or we shall have life and more abundantly. Only Might, May or Would.
We do not have a guarantee of life and abundance. It is up to us. We decide whether to accept Jesus and how much of our life to give up.
The quality of our life, (walk with Jesus ), is totally and completely up to us as individuals. From Genesis to Revelation, The Lord has had a people, whether they were called Hebrews, Israelis or the Christians of today.
Of all these groups we find some that have an exceptional walk with the Lord. Why only some? The Lord offers to all, only whosoever will, will give up selfish wants, desires, plans, habits, families. …ect.
Have we really given all to Jesus? I want to give all, but I fail. I hang on. He doesn’t really have my all, I am not completely and totally His. “I” am the problem.
My life, light, witness for Him is less than it should be because I am still too carnel, I have not presented myself a living sacrifice, holy acceptable. Having a mind that is renewed by the reading of the Word. A faith build up by praying in the Spirit.
The offer, the promise, the Way of life and abundance is there. It is available. It is possible to achieve. It is up to us. Whosoever will. I am afraid we are Whosoever Won’t.
Do not blame the Lord:
》For your lack of prayer life
》For your lack of Bible study
》For your lack of peace, joy, love
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Do not blame the devil, that might, makes it our responsibility to achieve and become all that the Lord promises. Our walk with the Lord, our closeness to the Lord, our Abundance of the Lord is all determined by us. We decide.
