God hath chosen thee, – The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

Scripture from Acts 22:

“The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.  For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.”

The prophetic words of Ananias, the devout man, that God sent Paul to when he was blinded.

These words apply just as much to those of us who are called to serve the Lord today.

》We are the chosen, if we have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.   He had a plan, a purpose for our lives.  There are things He would have us doing, people He would touch through us.

》We should know His will.  We learn His will by reading, accepting and doing His Word.  As we act on what we know to do, He will guide, direct and protect us.  Give us peace in the midst of a storm.

》We will see the Just One.   Really,  how?  First,  we will recognize Him in His Word.  Second,  we will see Him in the results of our prayers, our laying on of hands, our sharing of the Gospel.

》We will hear His voice.  Not just while reading His Word but that soft, still voice that says: “This is the way, walk ye in it”.  If we put on His yoke, we will expose Him to all we meet.

》We will be His witness.   We will share His love and grace, people will come to a knowledge of His sacrifice and salvation.   They will see His peace in us and recognize the joy of serving Him.

Lord, help us to know You and be obedient to Your will and ways.  May we lead Your chosen to a closer walk with You.  May we be vessels of Your service.
