The Lord knoweth them that are his. – The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

2 Timothy: 2. 19.
“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

Growing up in the Catholic Church I felt sorry for the people in the little Community Church in town .  After all Massachusetts was 85% Catholic and we had the only way to heaven.

We were taught the Basic Christian beliefs.   Virgin Birth, life, death, resurrection.  It was history,  taught as fact, encouraged to believe but no hint of a personal relationship.

When joining the Masons, while in my 20’s one of the questions asked was: “In whom do you put your trust?”    (expected answer:  God).  My answer: “Me.”

Which caused them to ask:  “What religion are you?”   I do not know what they expected me to answer but I  said:  “Christian , ah Catholic,” “Really, we don’t get many Christians or
Catholics. ”

That was when I started to wonder:  “Am I…, what is a Christian? ”

At that point, the Lord knew for certain, that I was not His,  I wallowed in iniquity.  Even though I didn’t know what it was.   That was the start of my journey to Salvation.

Now, the Lord knows I am His,  I find myself departing from iniquity too often….I understand the truth that sin separates me from God, and it is Gods grace that I am forgiven.

My question for you is are you a Christian or do you think of yourself a Baptist, UM, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Anglican. …..whatever?

Or do you have personal knowledge of Christ?  If you’re not sure, you don’t.  If you want to, you can.

The way of Salvation is not a difficult way to find.  Ask Jesus to forgive you and allow Him to be Lord by departing from iniquity, (sin).

You will find peace and joy that will lift the weight of the world off your shoulders.

Father God, please open hearts and mind, by the Power of Your Spirit, lead those You would know, to the knowledge of Your love.

Thanks for visiting, come back soon.
