Whose Truth, Revelation Knowledge: – The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

It always amazes me when talking with old and established Christian,  how quick they are to reject a Bible truth they haven’t seen or recognized.

They have lived a number of years not knowing this truth, so it cannot be.

This is  sad.

They are denying themselves  the possibility of becoming  todays Martin Luther, or one of the Wesley brothers.

They had found new truth,  in the old word.

They found an open door of His Revelation.

Others had read, studied even seen the words on the page, but did not have the Revelation these men found, which brought about whole new Denominations.

When reading the Word, we must be open to the idea that the Lord, can and will reveal Himself to us personally.

For the Lord to reveal to a true seeker the meaning of a passage that had been hazy or unclear before.

Now the trick is:  Are there two or three other witnesses  (scriptures ), to support this new Revelation?   If there are, will you believe?

As the Jews don’t recognize Jesus,  the Catholics don’t recognize the Truth Martin Luther discovered.

Lutherans the Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostal, ect….

We find one truth and cannot see that there might be others.

Let us examine one:

Jesus was Gods only begotten Son.  He tells us this Himself in John 3:16.  We have no argument, it is truth.

The question is when did He become begotten?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

God Himself spoke of Jesus when He was on earth,  at His Baptism:

“the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.”

“Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Then again at the Transfiguration:

“And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.”

“While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”

“For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

He told the story:
“Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.”

While Jesus was alive on earth, a Spirit conceived man He was “my beloved son.”

These scriptures were written after His death :

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.”

“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

So when did He become the “only begotten son?

This day or today:  A singular, special day:

“I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.”

“For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?”

“So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.”

Do we know what day?

Acts 13:33
“God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.”

Psalm 2:7
“I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.”

Where is the “only begotten son”?

“No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”

I believe He became “only begotten son ” when He was the resurrected from the dead.

Is this the truth?  Does it effect my Salvation?   Is it worth our time to wonder?

I don’t know, it is another thing that keeps the Word new and fresh.

  1. Interesting! WE know the scripture refers to him as the Firstborn, He is seated at the right hand of the Father in His glorified body.Hmmm….. Food for thought. Maybe you can start a new denomination!!!!!
