One of the most remarkable sayings of Jesus. He told the woman caught in adultery to: “Go and sin no more.”
He also told the lame man from the pool of Bethesda the same when He saw him at the Temple.
So,oooo…..it apparently is possible to “Go and sin no more.”
Please don’t misunderstand, I have read it, it is printed in red, Jesus told them, I have to believe they did it.
(If he could move his ears right, he could fly)
The question is how?
Paul prayed three times for his affliction to be removed, (eye problems? ) it is usually assumed.
The Lord told him: ” My grace is sufficient. “
What if a secret sin was his affliction? Just asking.
I know that goes against all your theology. So it was his eyes.
So if you can? “Go and sin no more.” Why is it I cannot “sin no more”?
Am I hosting unclean spirits? Is reading the Word, prayer and loving the Lord not enough. Is this why people would whip themselves to drive out their demons?
I do not care to do, or believe that, that would work.
The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. He tells us to forgive 70 × 7, His mercy is new every morning.
I don’t know whether to hope to die first thing in the AM, or hope for time to confess…..(lol)
Or I guess there might be a third option.
Don’t let my sin get ahead of my repentant heart.
The Lord knew David’s heart and when he sinned gave him a path to repentance. Does this mean I am free to sin?
No, it just means, He realizes I may will miss the mark, if I truly love Him, forgiveness is there for those who seek it and turn to Him.
I am a Christian, I like to think a Disciple. A sinner saved by His Love and Grace .
Thank You Lord, for Your Mercy and Grace. Help me to be a man after Your heart.
Thanks for visiting, come back soon.

I’ve always wondered about the follow-up of those who were told “go, and sin no more”. Were they successful? We never hear any more about them. When I look at my own life and see where I have failed to follow this simple, yet extremely difficult command, I wonder.

Good read, my understanding of the “go, and sin no more” command to the woman is to stop doing this particular sin that landed you here. Interesting thought about Paul. Let’s face facts there are a great many people in ministry today living with secret sin. In fact one pastor just killed himself a few weeks ago when that website he was a part of was hacked and his name was revealed.
