” I have provided me a king “
The word of the Lord to Samuel after rejecting Saul as King. He chose David, because ” the Lord looketh on the heart.”
He chose David the Man after Gods own heart.
When I was first saved, I prayed pretty regularly that I would have a heart like Davids. That God would be “it” in my life.
I found out that my heart isn’t. When faced with a choice, I chose a woman, she chose the Lord. Lost twice. ..lol…
Except it’s not funny. ” the Lord looketh on the heart.”
I love the Lord, He knows it. If I want to be a useful vessel of the Lords, I must learn to walk with, instead of going my own way, expecting Him to bless it.
By Grace am I Saved. By obedience I can be used. Oh, the Lord could use a rock, I would like to be a blockhead He is using.
When Samuel went to find the the One the Lord provided for King, watch what happened.
“the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?”
Samuel was the Annointed of God, going to discover and promote the Anointed One. ” The Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. “
When we walk in the Anointing, people recognize something about us. The power of God is noticed.
I long to walk in the Anointing, I will walk in it, when I present myself a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable, unto God which is my reasonable service.
Lord, please help me to understand : ” Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. “
How to become victorious over the sin and self will in my life, how to truly walk with You. Help me not to harden my heart, to be like Esau : ” he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. “
To realize and accept: ” For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”
