The called, and chosen, and faithful.

“He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”  Revelation 17:14b

This scripture is about the 2nd comming of Christ but it applies to Christians today.

If you have accepted Jesus as Savior  you are the called.  He stood at the door of you heart and knocked, you let Him in.  Have you proclaimed His love to you and your love of Him?

If you have the book says you are saved.

There is more, for whosoever will.

Psalm 65:4
King James Version (KJV)
“Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.”

God  has chosen us, He will cause  whosoever will to approach Him, to dwell in His courts and be satisfied with the goodness of His house, even of His Holy Temple.

Do you have a desire to know Him more, to understand His Word,  Ways, Commands,  His Testimony?   He will draw you close, the Holy Spirit  will teach you, guide and direct you to the place of safety,  comfort and love.

The real rub is faithful.   Are we faithful,   are we first full of faith and power?

Do we truly believe His Word?  Are we obedient children?   Can He trust us with finances?  Do we tithe?  Give?  Pray?  Read the Word?

Are we faithful to His plan?  Understand and share His love and grace?
Forgive and pray for those who have wronged us?  Are we willing to die for our faith?

All are called,  few are chosen.   Wide is the way,  narrow is the gate.
Broad is the path to destruction.

Lord I thank you I was called.  I thank you I am chosen and my desire is to walk together with You.  Yoked to You, in love.

Lord You have done all and just left me the job of faithful.   Lord, I  am sorry I fail  in this so often.  I  fail to pray,  praise,  give of myself,  walk in Your light or Spirit.

I  don’t love or even like the unlovable,  I  walk my own path, not Yours.  Have not the mind of Christ in so many areas.  I am stubborn,  hard-headed, stiffnecked and rebellious,.

Why you love me, I  can’t understand but I am so thankful You do.  Lord there is one way I will be faithful.

I will love you all the days  of my life. I will repent and turn towards You when I  realize my error.  I  will trust You to forgive as I forgive others.

Lord please help me to draw near.

Amen
