Deuteronomy 8:1-2
King James Version (KJV)
“ All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers. And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.“
Gods commandments are given that we might live, multiply, go and possess the blessings the Lord has given.
Saints, we must get it into our Spirits that the Commands of the Lord are not grevious, senseless or petty .
If we would heed and obey our blessings would abound. Unfortunately we are just like the Hebrews.
The Lord must need to humble and prove us to see what is in n our hearts.
Will we keep His commandments?
We all struggle with our carnal man, the Spirit is indeed willing, the flesh exceedingly weak.
The only way to defeat the sin nature within, is to “Submit ourselves to God, Resist the devil and he must flee.”
We often claim to be Submitted but if we examined our hearts we would see and understand how our own desires may conflict with the Lords.
Are we content with our life? Do we want more? Expect more? Demand more of God?
Learn to “humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
“Quit ye, stand fast, and see the Salvation of God? “
Stand fast in that measure of faith He had given you.
Love and obey Him and receive His blessings.
All He asks is we Love the Lord our God. If we love, we will obey. If we obey we will receive.
Blessings
