I was tuning a very nice woman’s piano today and conversing about the Word of God.   I had opined how we do not have the reverence of the Word that they did in the Old Testament.

The woman pointed out how lucky we are to have the Word available to us whenever we desire to read it.  She is both right and wrong.

In Nehemiah, someone had to read the Word to the people and there were others to help them to understand.  Today we can read it ourselves and read a commentary if we have questions.

Sounds good, right?

It isn’t.  The Word is no longer precious or rare, now it is ignored or used as a telephone book.  (Which we no longer use either).

What good is having the Word, if it is not giving life to those who have it?  How many are studying to show themselves approved?

They would sing scripture all day, we want more verses, never mind what the Word says.  We know better.  It saddens me to see how little the Word affects today’s Christians.

If we disagree, we throw it away.  Again We Know Best!  Lord help us, please.  May the Word come alive in our hearts and minds.  May it changes us, into Your Image.

On God:
He won’t send anyone to Hell, Jesus is just alright, we are ok in His sight.

On Sin:
God only cares about the big ones:
Murder, rape, fraud, bodily harm… Victimless crimes are not sin.

Truth:
God is a Holy God and demands a Holy People.   God sits on His Throne and does as He pleases. (Ps 115)

As slaves to Sin-  before Salvation, we live in Sin
As Christians:  We pass through the Wilderness of Sin.  (Exodus 16)

How long will you stay in this Wilderness?  It is our choice.
What is Sin in this Wilderness?
Murmuring and complaints.  The Start of our trouble.
Disobedience:  It’s the Simple Things, the Evil Heart of Unbelief.
We must walk in Faith, Thanksgiving, and Praise, to become victorious.

If we do not follow the simple, we will never do the great.  If He cannot trust us to follow, He may not bother to lead us, He can leave us feeding the swine.

We must give ourselves totally to Him.  Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength.   Then we will be ready to serve.

I know I am terrible person, but, just seeing the top of the nose, the eyes and eyebrows, somehow causes me to wonder about the rest of the face.

I picture them in my mind, everyone is perfect. A great mouth and chin, a wonderful smile that matches the sparkle of their eyes, and laughter that comes from deep within.

Then my mental picture is shattered.

I see their picture ID. Can this be the person I am speaking with? Apparently yes. Oh well, life is full of surprises.

I said I was terrible.

I have Tasted Freedom.  I Have been to America; BC, (before COVID)

IT WAS GRAND!

I had two doctors’ appointments late on Tuesday afternoon.  We went to town early to catch lunch at one of our favorite eateries.

We arrived, put on our masks for the dangerous walk into the restaurant and to our table, and in fear and trembling entered the door.

There were eight to ten woman in hospital scrubs, laughing, joking, and leaving to go back to work.  Not a Mask among them.

We looked;  none of the wait staff, cooks, busboys, nobody had on a mask.  Only two masks were visible.  Mine and Bettes.

We looked at each other, pulled of the masks, and with huge smiles found our table and understanding the waitress, enjoyed our food, and our day.

I will not say where this was.  the Mask Nazis would shut it down in a minute.  How have we allowed this to happen to this once great country?

Please vote!  I pray for you to vote with knowledge and wisdom.  I believe in the system.  I have a problem with all the changes this year.  It seems to be a clear call for fraud.

Vote in person!  Have an ID with you!  Be on the Lookout for those who would cheat!

There are 3 stages of the Christian life. The first is the realm of the World.

We all start out as Slaves to Sin: The Devil is the Prince and Ruler of this World, he has us under his control. We do not recognize sin, for what it is, and refuse to accept the Love of God in our lives.

After we have been touched by the Holy Spirit and begin to follow and love God we first must enter the Wilderness of sin.

This is a different place than beig a Slave to Sin. Now our Sin becomes a choice. We choose to murmur and complain, instead of praise and thanksgiving. Rebellion instead of Complacent.

This is the Wilderness of Sin. We have experienced the Majestic Power of God, He has Forgiven us, healed us, set us free from the Power of the Evil One, and we choose to complain and blame the Lord that our lives are not perfect.

It is our choice to stay in or leave this Wilderness. It is our Free Will, that controls our attitude and our actions.

We can read about the Wilderness of Sin in Exodus, 15-16. It is a Wilderness with borders, we need to cross into the Promise. More on this theme coming.

Graditude; an Attetude: bill theunfetteredpreacher cote

Our new Pastor, Donald Thompson, today started a new series about Gratitude, starting with Exodus 17.

The Hebrew was in the desert and in need of water, Moses was to strike the rock and water flowed. He emphasized how the Lord had been supplying their needs, yet they complained.

It was a good message, but I was captivated by the first verse in Exodus Chapter 17:

“And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.”

Like the Christian of today, the Hebrews had to journey from the Wilderness of Sin. Yet as we read further there remained Sin Within, and that is our ongoing problem in the Church.

We fail to leave the Sin behind, we all have a sin that so easily besets us. (Hebrews 12:1) We keep that sin, feed that sin, enjoy that sin, hate it, but cannot release that sin It has a hold on our lives.

So, should we ignor it? Enjoy it? Embrace it? NO!!!

We must learn to fast and pray, trust, and relie on the Lord to give us the strength and the ability to overcome it. (James 4:7; 1 John 5:4,5; Matthew 17:21)

We must not only leave the wilderness of Sin but the Sin itself if we are to become all that the Lord would have us to be. Will we all conquer this sin?

I believe that the Apostle Paul fought sin in his life faithfully, I know he overcame it in the end, but lord what a struggle. He is an example to us all. Fight the good fight. (2 Timothy 4:7)

1 Corinthians 15: 34

“Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.”

Isaiah 40: 28-31

“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

It is a wonderful thing, to learn to wait on the Lord. As a new Christian, I struggled with finding my place in the Kingdom, I had gotten the Holy Ghost goosebumps and electric shock when these Christians said, ‘God Bless You.’ to me.

I was blessing everyone I met the first few months of my salvation. I was the God Bless You, guy. The people/of the world had quite a laugh. I was just full of Joy and the Holy Spirit. Yet I was ineffective at bringing folks to the good news.

So we learn the Roman Rd and other plans to lead people/to/Christ. (All pretty useless).

No, we learn to share the Lord by spending time waiting on the Lord, sitting at the feet of Jesus, learning of Him, and then sharing Him, not just the Scriptures. The woman at the well, the Legion, both just shared what Jesus did for them. they didn’t have Scriptures, just personal knowledge.

It is a shame that He is not proclaimed. Has He not impacted your life? If He has, share.

I am continually dumbfounded. People are demanding that we humor their delusions. They are men, claiming to be women.

We are expected to validate their foolishness, they are not men or women, but one of the other 159 genders they claim.

We are allowing the leftest cities and states to destroy their public and private buildings and properties. It is ok, that they attack law-abiding citizens, block highways, injure police, and anyone else they desire.

We allow them to hold up the reopening of their states, the economy, the right to go to church, eat out, gather together unless it is to demonstrate against the current administration.

Saints, we need to stand behind President Trump, the rule of Law, and common sense. We must stand fast, against the lefts run for Socialism. The American way of life is on the auction block, and we could easily lose it.

Where do you stand? Will you fight for truth justice and the American way. I certainly hope so.

Messengers of the Lord or Messengers of God, is there a difference?

In the story of Hagar, she ran away from Saria twice. The first time in Genesis 16, the messenger, (angel), of the Lord told her to return under Saria’s rule.

She would have a child and call him Ismael, (God Hears) because God heard her destress, who would have many descendants and be a great ruler. (Genesisn16:7-11)

The second time Ishmael was about 13, Issac had been born. The messenger of God heard the boys cries.

Abraham had sent Hagar and the boy away. When God had heard his cry, he told Hagar, Ishmael would be a great nation, the boy became a great archer and his mother found him a wife. (Genesis 21)

She and the boy were freed from Sarah.

Angels aren’t Babies with Wings: bill theunfetteredpreacher cote

Angels, messengers of God, the Lord, or the devil, are not Babies with wings. The first Angels mentioned in the Bible are the Cherubs. They are charged with protecting the Tree of Life from those not worthy to partake.

The Lord had representations of them on the Tabernacle in the desert and in Solomon’s Temple. The Lord flew on them and they had 4 faces, 4 wings, and 4 wheels. The Lord speaks from between the Cherubims, who were over the Mercy seat, of God.

In Isaiah 6 we find another type of Angel, the Seraphin. their job is to Praise and Exalt the Lord, They also brought the message of sin being purged from Isaiah, so he could do the Work of the Lord.

Notice the cherubs protect God, the Tree of Life, while the Seraphim Praise and do the bidding of the Lord.

Next, we will look at the Archangels, the Angels of God, and the Angels of the Lord. I believe we will see a difference in their assignments and actions.

Charubs- Not Babies with Wings 2: bill theunfetteredpreacher cote

Cherubims are the first angels mentioned in the Bible. We have many drawings of them as babies with wings. This could not be farther from the truth. In Genesis 3:24 we find the Lord God placed Cherubims at the east end of the Garden to protect the Tree of Life, with a flaming sword.

In Exodus 25:18,22, in the building of the Tabernacle, the Lord had Moses put upon the Mercy Seat 2 Cherubims with wings extended over the Mercy Seat. The Lord would speak to the high Priest from between the Cherubims.

The Lord had the curtains of the Tabernacle to have renderings of Cherubs. In 2 Samuel 6:2, we find the Lord of Hosts dwells between the Cherubims. In Samuel 22:11, the Lord rides upon a Cherub.

When Solomon built the New Temple, in the place where the high priest spoke with the Lord he had 2 giant .charubims built. The Walls were engraved with the images of Cherubims.

In Ezekiel 10-41, we find some Cherubs that had 4 faces, 4 wings, and 4 wheels. The face of a Cherub, a man, a lion, and an eagle. The Glory of God was over the cherubims.

We find the cherubs standing before and protecting the Tree of Life from all who have not given their lives to Him. He speaks to us from between them.

Galatians 4:16

“Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?”

‘YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!’

A Famous line from a great movie yet it is the truth of the matter.

We are still locked down because of the horrible Pandemic that 98% of those afflicted recover. We must keep social distance in Church if we are allowed to go to Church.

We cannot hold political rallies, while protests and riots are now, peaceful, promoted activities. The Truth (of medications that fight this virus, and of the Riots that accompany these peaceful protests), is being hidden, removed from our social networks and lies are the New Normal.

It troubles me that so many on the left refuse to look beyond the ‘news’ they follow to find the Truth.

Then there is the Gospel.

We are living in a time that doesn’t believe or acknowledge that we should (as Christians), be full of Faith and the Power of the Holy Ghost. Seeing people Saved, Healed, Comforted, and Loved, as Jesus told us to be.

We have allowed the devil to persuade us, that God no longer cares to heal and help those in distress. The Bible tells us that everyone who touched Him were made whole. (Mark 6:56)

Why are we so quick to accept this lie of the devil over the Word of God?

The reason we accept that lie is we no longer know how to touch the Lord. We do not humble ourselves, fast and pray, intercede for the lost and hurting, we seem to believe asking Him to Save us is as far as it goes.

We are babies, refusing to grow into the men and women of God, we have erased that which we disagree with from the Bible and cling to that we accept.

“But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.” (Psalms 115:3)

We must go back, re-read Hebrews, move beyond the basic principles of Salvation, and into the meat of the Word. To learn and Walk in the Power of God, when the Church increasing daily with those who would be saved.

Galatians 5:7

“Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?“

The only one who can hinder us is ourselves, we are the masters of what we believe, accept, and promote of the Gospel of Christ. According to Your Faith, be it.

If you listen to and believe the major news outlets and the Democratic Party, we are experiencing peaceful protests all over our land.

We hear this constantly. If this were true, why are so many policemen hurt? Why is so much private and public property destroyed?

The worst cities and states are all Democratic-run, with Liberals in charge. (You can not argue this truth).

Unbelievably, they complain when the Federal Government arrives to quell the violence.

They encourage unrest. Discourage small business opening, church attendance, and heaven forbid a gathering of America loving people to Worship God or Pray for His Intervention in this time of unrest and rebellion.

The News Media is NOT ON THE SIDE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. They refuse to show you the truth, educate you on who and what is causing the trouble.

BLM and An Ti Fa are not good people, their end game is not in our best interests of Liberty and Lawfulness. They are Anti American, Anti Law Enforcement, Anti Military, and Anti Peace.

WAKE UP, PEOPLE! STAND FAST! PRAY AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD!

The law-abiding, freedom-loving, God-fearing people need to Stand Tall in His Love and reject the work of evil.
