God, Elohim is at the forefront in this Chapter. The flood is over a sacrifice that has been offered and accepted by Yahweh, (the Lord).
Now we have the Blessing of God once again. “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” All who sheds human blood will have his bloodshed by other humans.
God promised no more worldwide floods, a rainbow to be the sign of the promise.
He cursed Cannan to be the slave to his brothers because he saw his father naked and told his brothers.
Grace, Blessings are issued by God, Yahweh on the other hand dominates Chapter 11.
The whole world had one language and one speech.
Yahweh came to walk the earth to see what the humans were doing. They were building a city and a tower whose top reached to the sky.
“Yahweh said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do.” (Genesis 11:6)
How did Yahwey dwell with the problem?
Genesis 11:7-9
“Come, let’s go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So Yahweh scattered them abroad from there on the surface of all the earth. They stopped building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there Yahweh confused the language of all the earth. From there, Yahweh scattered them abroad on the surface of all the earth.”
