Happy New Year:

Ok, why the fire hydrant?

I’ll get to that, but first I just saw a video on ‘It’s a Southern Thing, The People of Alabama.’

It features a young girl, Nia Mya Reese, 8 years old, who has written three books. Her steps to success are.

A. Ask for help

B. Believe you can do it

C. No Copying

So I am giving her the credit, she said something that was amazing to me.

“Don’t tell me the skies the limit, while there are footprints on the moon.”

Wow, after the last 2 months of disappointments and discouragement, these words are what I needed.

I start the New Year in a funk, I want to do the Lord’s will, to walk with and experience His presence, but He still has me in Limbo.

I am frustrated, but I know this is where the Lord led me, and without the financial help our friends from Church have given us, we would be out of our home and who knows where.

Which brings me to the fire hydrant.

There is a lot of power in that hydrant, just waiting for the fireman to attach the hose and turn it on.

There is tremendous power in the Word of God.

The Lord is waiting for us to attach ourselves to it, (to renew our minds,) and turn it on. (Act on its instructions).

Unfortunately, our link to His Power is not a tight connection. We fail to completely believe and walk in its Promise.

We are living in the skies the limit and ignoring the footprints on the moon. If we only believe, all things are possible to those who believe.

We don’t, A sad story.

So it is a New Year, Paul wrote in Romans 12:1-2

Romans 12:1-2

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

So Be Ye Transformed, be Holy, Acceptable, not Conformed to this world, a living sacrifice, and prove the Truth of His Promises.

Release the Power of our Living, Awesome God.
