When I married my sweet wife, (in 1984), I asked that the preacher would expound on these verses.
Proverbs 24:3-4
“Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.”
I was disappointed. He didn’t understand what I was asking. When we read the book of Proverbs, we are repeatedly called to search for, and to desire, Wisdom.
Do we understand, what it is, we should desire? 1 Corinthians 1: 21, ‘Christ is the Power and Wisdom of God.’
It is when Christ is involved with the building of a home, a marriage, a life. Understanding and knowledge will strengthen and fill the home, the marriage or life, with pleasant riches.
In the book of Exodus *, we find the Lord giving Bazaleel, the ‘Spirit of God.’. Which is the ‘Spirit of Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding.’
He gives this ‘Spirit’, for the building of His Sanctuary, if He resides in our hearts and minds, our home will be strong and loving, full of the Lords pleasant Riches
Proverbs 24:3-4
“ Through skillful and godly Wisdom is a house (a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation],
And by knowledge shall its chambers [of every area] be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” (Amplified Bible)
Our life should embrace the Lord Jesus, He needs to be the central pillar of our lives. We shall encounter trials and tribulations, but in the Lord, we will Triumph.

*Exodus 31:1-3
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
