Building Bricks without straw: The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

Saints I believe this to be the most important post I have written.  I believe it is Revelation Knowledge from the Lord.

Please prayerfully read, consider and comment, I desire to hear your thoughts.

Moses had returned to Egypt, to lead the Hebrews to freedom.  Pharaoh had a hardened heart and other ideas.

Since the Hebrews had time and energy to plan a 3 day trip to Worship God, they had too much time on their hands.

Maybe they should now, find their own straw to build their quota of bricks.  (Straw helped to make the bricks strong and bind them together).

Exodus 5:5-7
King James Version (KJV)
And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.

And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,

Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

Now, the problem with this was three fold:

~  They had to work harder, (finding the straw), before any bricks were made.

~  They couldn’t make as many bricks a day.
(because it took time, to find the straw)

~  The bricks they made were not as strong, durable or useful.  (because of the shortage of straw)

This became a big problem.  Read about it in Exodus 5.

Is there any  comparison to our building the Church today?

We have been given the straw to build our bricks, (The Church), today.

They were given to us by the Holy Spirit, for the express purpose of building a strong, vibrant, living Church.

A Testimony to Gods Power and Love, a body that lifts up Jesus, comforts the broken hearted, makes the lame to walk, the blind to see, the sick and dying to recover.

We do not see this Church today

Or can your Church not hold the multitudes seeking Jesus?

If there is so much healing, victory, power and raising the dead, going on at your Church, that you cannot hold the multitudes seeking Jesus.

Please let me  know where you are, because that is what the Church should be. That is where I long to be.

Unfortunately, most of our Churches have pleanty of seating available.    What we lack is the Spirits presence.

The Spirit is our Straw.  The STRAW that makes the Church Strong.  The Spirit working in the body, to build the body.

The Gifts of the Spirit were and are given to build His body.

Deuteronomy: 29:29
The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

There is much we do not know, that are secret things that belong to the Lord.

There are many things revealed, that we neglect, refuse to accept, claim they are not needed.

The devil has taken our straw, by convincing the Church The Holy Spirits Gifts passed with the Apostles.   We don’t need them now that we have the written word.

I choose to believe the Lord and He said:

Romans 11:29
Expanded Bible (EXB)
God never changes his mind about the people he calls and the things he gives them [L For God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable].”

Saints, I beg you….

Believe God, Believe His Word, Believe His Promise, Ask for Salvation, Ask for the Holy Spirit, Seek the Gift you need right now, (that would be the best gift).

Do not bury the Gifts in the distent past.  They are for us today.  They are given to build His Church.

Quit trying to do the work, without the Straw God Provides.  Amen

Thanks for visiting. Come back soon.
Know you are loved.

  1. Timely word Bill. When Jesus left, He left the Holy Spirit with us to be with us, teach us and REVEAL to us ALL TRUTHS…if we are going to thrive in this world at this time, we need to connect daily with the Spirit.

    Thank you for the reminder.

Read the post. Good analogy. Sad truth though. However, I am being led to teach  John 13-17 next few weeks to remind us that the 4 gospels for the most part are historical narrative of the life if Christ. Today we are to learn and live teachings of the Spirit of Christ. So I receive your post as an encouragement and confirmation to me personally and for IMPACT Church. We have empty seats for now but I do not see them remaining that way!
