I am a Right Wing, Spirit Filled, Conservative Christian.  I have spent the last 5 years in a church that loves the Lord but doesn’t believe the things of the Spirit are  for today.

They believe :
“Jesus died for me, saved me from eternal hell fire, but lied about the Gifts of the Spirit,  Signs, Wonders and Miracles being for me.”

Why do they believe this instead of what the Bible clearly states?   
What they have been taught, seen and heard all their lives.  PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

We have  too many who teach and preach  Gods Word without fully understanding or accepting His Fulness in their life.  They found the truth and freedom of Deliverance,  and have failed to allow Him to Dominate, (their minds,   thoughts, actions, desires).

Matthew 13:14-15
“For in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.”

They have heard: 
“There is more, God desires for you to be closer to Him, would help you to be Holy, Acceptable, Perfect, Full of Grace, Power and the Holy Ghost.”

They have replied:
“I don’t need that, if God had wanted me to have it, He would have gave it to me.”

Forgetting :
“AS FORGIVENESS WAS AVAILABLE BUT INACCESSIBLE UNTIL ASKED FOR.  THE SAME GOES FOR THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT. …..THEY ARE THERE FOR WHOSOEVER WILL.”

Am I  casting Gods pearls before swine?    Am I  wasting my time, my love, my life?  For WHOSOEVER WON’T?

Lord, I am done in, I know not how to reach these people,  they do not see You in me and that is because there is too much of me and not enough of You.

  1. That’s a great first prayer. Just soak in the presence of the Lord. I’ve been so encouraged by listening to Graham Cooke’s sermons on utube. He is so prophetic and speaks God’s unqualified love and authority over you and me. There is joy that Jesus promises. The out of your belly overflowing joy promised by Jesus. We Westerners have a disconnect with head knowing and head to body knowing God intimately that is expressed in the Hebrew. I have been praying God would make me whole for years now. Whole as defined by God. He led us to the Vineyard Church. Here we encountered a culture of humility and transparency where asking others to pray and expect miracles is the norm. I pray you will be so salty your church family begs for more water. I pray whatever spirit or stronghold of disbelief will be cast down by the authority of the blood. Share your journey. Encourage your church family to keep prayer journals and share God’s answers to prayer. Offer prayer ministry classes to show them how to pray believing prayers and release them to pray for each other as part of your service.

    Find a Spirit led fellowship your church can partner with to meet needs in and pray f or your community. See what kind of classes they have going. Get to know their pastors well and seek the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and guidance before proceeding with these suggestions. Only the Lord knows the plans He has for you and He wants you to ask.

  2. Bill, I agree with Janjoy52. You have been placed where you are, not only for your benefit, but those dear folks around you. Having been to your church, I see a group of dear people who need who need to see the supernatural. Be open to be used in an unusual way to jar them out of their complacency!
