Our world is upside down.  Perversion has become heroic, our real heroes, (policeman, firefighters, first responders,  the military), are now the problem. 

Because of our disobedience, disrespect and disregard for the law and common decency, our Police find themselves needing to get physical to bring us in line.  Then we blame them.

We have refused to acknowledge the Creator,  have decided creation happened by itself.   (That must be why I have both the first and last trees to shed their leaves, in both my front and back yards.

My neighbors have all taken care of the leaves in their yards, while I wait for the last to fall.  I want to mulch them all just one time, I have no desire to do the same work two or three times.)  ((End of personal rant.))

“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:   Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.”    (Romans 1)

Yet we deny the Creator.  The wonders of Creation declare His Glory but we don’t  see it, we refuse to recognize His Majesty and Acknowledge Him.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.  Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.  There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.”

He is proclaimed in His Creation,  there is no language or dialect to confuse the message.  Yet so many deny Him.

“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.   ”  (Romans 1)

So we find those who would save the whales but kill the babies.  Save the earth from the pollution of oil and coal but pollute their bodies with sexual sin.  They are so concerned about the trees of the field and reject the tree of life. (Jesus ).

That my friends is why our world is upside down.

“Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts,to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: ”  (Romans 1)

“ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Many we know have denied the Creator,  our hearts break knowing they reject the Holy One. 

We have tried telling them.  They would not listen.  We try to show them by our actions.   They will not see.  We forgive those who hurt us, it doesn’t change their minds.

Our job is to sow the seed, by living our lives in faith.  Water where we have sown, by sharing Gods truth in love.  Then is the hardest part:

Waiting and watching the Lord as He brings the increase.

Lord, help us to be faithful,  useful vessels of Your love and grace.  May the world see You in my actions, speech and attitudes.  Amen
