Acts 9:6 in part :
“Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?”
Paul had just been struck down on the road to Demacus. Meeting the Lord he had thought he was serving.
Finding out his error, his first words: “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?”
How often have I found out I am doing the wrong thing, or going the wrong way, or believing in a wrong or false premise?
Is my responce: “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” ?????
Not as often as I would like.
As much as I claim to be a follower of Christ, I don’t follow as well as I give the Lord advice on how He should be using me or doing things.
My carnel man still reigns more often then not. I cry out to be emptied of self and filled with Him but I can’t give up that sin, that attitude of entitlement, self righteousness, superiority.
Stupidity really. To think more of myself than I ought. But that is where I find myself.
Telling all how to be closer to the Lord, while standing so far away.
What a sad day it will be, standing before the Lord. Will I hear? ” Depart from Me, I never knew you.”???
My cry today is: “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?”
My intention today is to: “Humble myself in the sight of the Lord”
My desire today is: “To be made into the image of my Lord, Jesus Christ, to take His yoke, walk in His will, obeying His direction. ”
My destination today: “To fulfill the work of the Lord in my life. To learn to submit to His Holy Spirit, to deny self and be made into a vessel of His design. ”
So: “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?”
Thanks for visiting, come back soon.
