The Ministry Years: Miracle 35 – – theunfetteredpreacher

Luke 13:10-17 (KJV)

Another working on the Sabbath Miracle.

Jesus, teaching in the Synagogue recognized, a woman with a spirit of infirmity for 18 years.

This was a Word of Knowledge, given to Him by the Holy Spirit.

He saw her, called her to Him, spoke healing to her, and laid hands on her.

The Gifts of Healing, was employed.

Immediately she was healed, and she glorified God.

This is how the Gifts of the Spirit should work.

Instead of desiring the best gifts, we discuss healing on the Sabbath.

Jesus plainly told them, there is never a wrong time, to do good.

His adversaries were ashamed, all others rejoiced, when His power is revealed.

Saints, when the Spirit if God is present in a man, a Church, a congregation…. Great Multitudes will gather, healings will occur.

Signs and Wonders will be seen following the Anointed of God.

We have many Preachers and Teachers, doing their best to share the Gospel, and bring people into the Kingdom.

There are few, who have pushed through into the Holy of Holies.

We love them, if they are Billy Graham or Beth Moore, or someone else from a major Denomination.

We call them charlatans, or false teachers, if they teach prosperity, healing, miracles.

We must learn to read and teach the Full Council of God.

The Word has almost 100 verses, that tell us God would have those who love Him to prosper.

Verses that explain, He wants good things, for those who love and obey Him.

Granted, He also lets us know, we will be persecuted, we will suffer, loss, troubles, and problems.

Whether it is chastisement from the Lord, testing He allows, (like Job), or we are sowing what we have reaped.

We need to live the Full Council of God.

He would have us victorious, for the Lord, in our lives.

Luke 13:10-17 (KJV)

10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

I am Esau: theunfetteredpreacher

Genesis 27:34
And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

Genesis 27:38
And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.

I love the Lord, yet I wonder, is there not a blessing for me?

Why am I here? Is this all there is? Is there no place for me?

Is there a Hedge of Protection?  theunfetteredpreacher

For all of my Christian life, I have heard people praying for a HEDGE OF PROTECTION.   The only Bible verse I remembered, (that spoke of hedges), was, from the New Testament:

Luke 14:23
And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

Now that usage, did not convey any sense of protection, but honestly, at the time, I just wasn’t interested.

Until now.

Today, Republican House members, were ambushed while at practice, for a charity baseball game.

They were not where they usually would be.

No, they where together, (on their own time), getting ready for a charity event.

A man walked up, asked a man, if these where Republicans?   He said thanks, for the affirmative answer.  Went in and started shooting.  (Several wounded, one critically).

If not for armed Police, (heroes, with guns), it would have been a massacre.

Out in California,  a man dressed as a UPS, worker, killed 3, and then himself.   (No heroes with guns).  A massacre.

Do we know why this is happening?

Yes,  Will we as a society accept the reason?   NO!

It is sadly simple.  Evil, is the Ruler of this world.

The Godless, believe it is we, who believe, (in the Lord), that are the fools.  We are not.  So, how do live in this world?

What can we, as believers, do?  How do we protect ourselves and our loved ones?

This is what lead me to this study.

I found the verse I was looking for in Job 1.

The Devil had gone up to heaven, and joined with the Sons of God, (good angels), to talk to the Lord.

The Lord asked?
Whence comest thou?

The Devil answered:
From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”

And the Lord said unto Satan:
Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”

The Devils response: Job 1:10

Doth Job fear God for nought?

Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?
thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

God had made a HEDGE OF PROTECTION ABOUT JOB.  He had caused the work of his hands to prosper.  He was the richest man in the kingdom.

Okay,  Job was an exception,  because:

There is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

We have heard what happened to Job, and we could preach many Sermons on him.  From, the thing he feared, to his comforters.

It’s all there in the book of Job.   But my question was.   Has God protected any others?

As I thought,  I was reminded of Noah, God instructed him to build an Ark.  His obedience led to the saving of him and his family.

The Hebrews, in the midst of their captivity, were set free, and protected by the blood of the Lamb.

Both Daniel and Paul,  a slave and a prisoner, both prospered in their darkest times.

How, you ask?  We will explore more tomorrow.

Thanks for reading,  Please let me know what you think.
