A sign of our times: 7/24/17. theunfetteredpreacher

“Due to loss of confidence in his ability to command,”
Two Squadron Commanders, from MCAS Cherry Point, were releaved of duty, “Due to loss of confidence in their abilities to command,”
I wish we could releave our Politicians and Supreme Court judges for the same reason.
I have no confidence in our Republican Lawmakers to do what they were elected for.
Justice Roberts of the Supreme Court, ruling on Obama care, disappointed us, with his ridiculous ruling that it was a tax.
Now they are neglecting to repeal and replace Obama Care, Build the Wall, or give us the Tax Relief President Trump, and they, campaigned and won on.
“Due to loss of confidence in their abilities to command,“
For this reason, we should be able to send them home, to their Mommies.
They are not men, they are more concerned about re-election then doing the right thing.
Mark 9:14-29; Matthew 17:14-21; Luke 9:37-42
These scriptures, are a picture of the Church today. Jesus, Peter, James and John, were on the mountain, in the presence of the Father.
The Disciples were down below, willing, but seemingly unable to do the work of God.
Today, the Lord is at the right hand of God. His Disciples, (us), are down here, unable to do the works of God.
The possessed, the sick, the hurting, are not finding relief. For the same reason.
“O faithless and perverse generation:”
We do not see the Power of God, today, unless we follow Benny Hinn, or other Faith Healers.
We may have known of Oral Roberts, R.W. Shamboch, or Katherin Kuhlman. These people believed God and surrendered completely to Him, and saw miracles happen.
“The Heavenly Father does not ask for golden vessels. He does not ask for silver vessels. God asks for yielded vessels – those who will submit their will to the will of the Father. And the greatest human attainment in all the world is for a life to be so surrendered to Him that the name of God Almighty will be glorified through that life.” – Kathryn Kuhlman
“It isn’t a matter of being worthy, for no man is worthy! It isn’t our perfection or our penitence, or a matter of our labors to reach the place of perfection or worthiness. It is God’s grace alone!” – Kathryn Kuhlman
If we would truly and totally surrender to God. To be able to say in truth.
“Here I am send me.”
Then go in obedience, and love, we would see the needs of those we touch, be met. It does not matter the need.
GOD IS ABLE, TO MEET AND EXCEED ALL OUR EXPECTATIONS.
He only needs a willing and obedient vessel.
When they could not cast out the deaf and dumb spirit, the Lord asked.
“How long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you?”
“Bring him unto me.”
We need to learn to bring the needs to Jesus. How do we do this?
“This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”
Many today do not believe in fasting. This is foolish.
Fasting, or denying ourselves, food, TV, Internet, any of the things we love, can be hard, may seem impossible.
But; When we give up for a time, something our flesh desires, it gets the Lords attention. He realizes we are serious, determined, and willing to go to the wall, in obedience to Him.
Prayer and Fasting. Is the Lords prescription for a successful and powerful ministry. The road map to building His Kingdom.
“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”
Only Believe. Why is that so hard? The boys father said.
“Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.”
In our ignorance, we pray this prayer. The Lord says:
Romans 10:17
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Galatians 3:2
“This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”
Galatians 3:5
“He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”
The hearing of faith.
The Church should teach the Miracles of God, the Church needs to hear of them, so they begin to believe in them, to then act on these beliefs.
The Miracle Power of God is available to whosoever, will act in Faith. Well, will you?
Mark 9:14-29; Matthew 17:14-21; Luke 9:37-42
Mark 9:14-29King James Version (KJV)
14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.
15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.
16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?
17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
Matthew 17:14-21King James Version (KJV)
14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Luke 9:37-42King James Version (KJV)
37 And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.
38 And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
39 And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.
40 And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.
41 And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.
42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

The Lord God is a sun and shield:
“The piano ain’t got no wrong notes.”
― Thelonious Monk
I wish the same could be said for me…lol
Psalm: 84:11-12
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.“
Luke: 9:28-36 Mark: 9:2-13 Matthew: 17:1-13
There are three accounts of the Transformation.
None by the actual parties involved. Does this make it untrustworthy? Not at all.
If not before, then after the Resurrection, Peter, James and John would have shared with the other Disciples.
The three versions, agree on the important points, differ on the writers perspectives of the event.
Six or eight days? Does it matter? NO.
A high mountain apart, or to pray? He went apart, always to pray.
His raiment shining, He was transfigured, His countenance was altered.
Yes, spend time in the presence of the Most High God, you are effected.
Moses, in Exodus 34:
He spent 40 days and nights, with the Lord. No food or drink, wrote out the Ten Commandments, (second time).
“When he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.
Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.”
Stephen, in Acts 6 and 7: Newly ordained as a Disciple, preaching of Abraham, and Moses, had signs, wonders and miracles, following.
“They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost,
Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
There arose certain of the synagogue, (angered who charged him with blasphemy).
They were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
All that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
He, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
They cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.”
If we would find our way, to the Holy of Holies, and spend time with the Lord, we would see signs and wonders following us.
People would recognize the Lords presence in our life.
The Religious still have a problem when the Power of God exalts itself, through man.
Jesus. (Maybe a picture of the Resurrected body?) Scriptures below.
If you find your way into the Holy of Holies, and spend time with the Lord, you will be changed. (Matthew 28:3, Luke 9:29, 2 Corinthians 3:7)
The cloud, the voice: “This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Mark: 9:2-13
And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
3. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
4. And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.
5. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
6. For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
7. And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
8. And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
9. And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
10. And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.
11. And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
12. And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
13. But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.
Matthew: 17:1-13
And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2. And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
4. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
6. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
7. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
8. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.
9. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
10. And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
11. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
12. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
13. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
Luke: 9:28-36
28. And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
29. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
30. And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
31. Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
32. But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
33. And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
34. While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
35. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
36. And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.
Mark 8:22-26
This is another miracle we only find in the book of Mark. Much of it follows what we have seen before. Parts of it, are quite odd.
A new town:
Although people, the multitudes, found Him, wherever He went. He still needed to travel, from town to town.
Why? Not everyone who had needs, could make it to where He was.
I hear people complain of todays evangelists, and faith healers, needing private jets.
If Jesus needed to be alone, and had to borrow boats, from followers, (for His travels), do not todays preachers, who travel much further, and reach many more, need the same.
They brought and besought Him:
Wherever Jesus is present, and allowed to work, (within us, or our Churches), believers will seek Him out and bring the hurting, whether the hurt is physical, spiritual or mental. Jesus, will heal all.
That is why it is the gifts of healing. We need the gifts of Faith and Words of Knowledge and Wisdom, to know how to pray, what to do, to help those in need.
He took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of town:
He needed to be apart from the unbelieving, even if they were believers. We need to do that today. Many believers, do not believe Jesus heals today. They accept being Powerless, while Jesus told us to go forth in Power.
He said, we would minister in Power and the Holy Spirit. It is up to us, to learn to ask for and use the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Some think, we automatically know what and how to walk in the Spirit. Not true. We must practice, pray, then obey, if we expect to take up His Yoke, and find His Rest.
Now, something happens:
This was a blind man.
“He had spit on his eyes, and put His hands upon him, He asked him if he saw ought.”
We see Him spit in Chapter 7 also, again a man deaf and dumb. He spit, and touched his tongue. He, immediately, spoke and heard.
This blind man wasn’t immediately healed. Jesus laid hands on him twice. The first time, he saw, but not well. (Saw men as trees).
The second time, Jesus had him look up, and he was totaly healed. Again, I have no idea why He spit.
We must look up to the source of our faith, and walk in it.
It is interesting though, earlier, when His Disciples had forgotten to bring bread. He asked them three questions.
Do you not see? Do you not hear? Do you not remember?
He had just feed Four Thousand, with a few loaves of bread and fish.
Did they not see, hear or remember, God is able to supply all our needs, according to his riches in glory?
Mark: 8:22-26
“And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.”
Lord, help us to see, hear and remember, that You alone are our source. Amen

I can’t believe the Hill was a candidate… thank God for The Donald…
I heard the news today – Oh Nuts!
President Carter..
Glad he is no longer our worst President, is still a great guy. 92 years old, admitted to hospital in Canada. Heat stroke or dehydration while working on a Hospice House.
More strength and energy than I.

They broke down the door…. he is out and safe.

I could not agree more. This is child abuse…
Those are my thoughts… and I am sticking with them.
