Flared Up-Flammed out: theunfetteredpreacher
For the first time, arthritis has caused me to miss a gig.
Sunday, I ended up just playing the melody, with my left hand, and everyone sang.
I could not get away with that today.
My right hand is useless right now. I support it with my left hand to move it.
If this keeps up, I may need to try for disability.
I have made my living tuning and playing for over 20 years.
I cling to Jesus.
Psalm: 17:15
“As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”
My Parabath hand… Do not know if it does any good, but boy is it hot.

Praying for you.

So sorry about your pain and the disability. May God give you guidance regarding a plan for the future. Also what is best for removing the pain. He is healer, guide, peace, provision. I pray for those things for you.

I’m conflicted to “like” this post because there is nothing likable about pain but then I am reminded of James. It is the very turning of your heart to God that redeems this difficult circumstance. It is the anchor and goad that drives us deeper into the compassionate, sufficient arms of our Papa God and Savior, Jesus Christ and ever present Counselor and guide, Holy Spirit. I pray healing. Complete healing and return to all the ministry God inspires you to.

You’re welcome Bill. It’s hard to live in the flesh, our frail mortal tents, and keep our spiritual lenses clear to always see God’s goodness and amazing purposes at work. But isn’t that what binds us all to each other, our common frailties and deep need to always breathe the air of Heaven, eat from the table His freshly baked Bread He sets before us in the presence of our enemies?
