“For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD:”

Proverbs 5 deals with sexual sin.  This sin seems to be right up there with rejection of Jesus, as Lord and Savior. 

Why?  Because woman was made explicitly for man and man for woman.  One for One.

The Lord demands we be true to Him, that we have NO OTHER GODS BEFORE US.  He is a jealous God.   He expects us to be true to the one He gave us to love, and true to Him.

If we aren’t true to the one we love on earth, we cannot be true to the One above.  As we wonder away from one, we are sliding away from the Other.

Proverbs: 5. 21-23
“For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.   His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.   He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.”

In the greatness of our folly, we go astray.  

We can look, but not touch.  We can touch, just this once. Twice will not hurt, it will not become a habit.

Till we are lost.  Stay true to the Lord and your earthly love.  You will find peace and joy forever more.

Lord, help us to love, as you love.
