“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Romans: 3. 18.

Why is sin acceptable today?  What happened to moral judgment,  common sense,  manners,  right and wrong?  We have taken the wrong road, we are in a downward spiral.

Why? “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”   

What is the fear of God?  What do we do?

“Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”

The fear of God leads to humility, submission,  honoring one another.

“Dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

We can perfect holiness in our lives, get rid of the filth and sin, make ourselves into useful vessels of the Lord by the fear of God.

“Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.”

If the fear of God is not in a place,  ( like many U.S. cities), they become dangerous, crime runs rampant, no law and order, death and destruction rule.

“He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.”

We need Godly rulers men who understand and walk in the fear of God, if we are to return to peace and prosperity.

Does the fear of God differ from the fear of the Lord?   YES:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:”

” The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:”

” The fear of the Lord prolongeth days:”

” In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.”

” The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,”

” The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.”

” The fear of the Lord is his treasure.”

” Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”

The fear of the Lord:  The beginning of Wisdom, Knowledge, long life, confidence, satisfaction,  treasure….

The fear of the Lord brings us to a place where we see Jesus and can accept Him as our Lord and Savior. ..truly the beginning. ..

“The churches had  rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord were multiplied. “

“The fear of the Lord fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.”

If we would see peace and prosperity,  growth in our churches,  in ourselves,  we must return to having a fear of the Lord and of God.

Lord, please return us to the knowledge of the fear of the Lord and of God.
