Elijah, a man of God 14: theunfetteredpreacher

2 Kings: 2:1
And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

Elijah said unto Elisha, “Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel.

Elisha said unto him, “As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee.”

So they went down to Bethel.   And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, “Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day?”

Elisha answered:   “Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.”

Elijah said unto Elisha,  “Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho.”

I find it interesting, that Elijah seems to be discouraging Elisha from coming with him.  Elisha, apparently knew not to let go, and leave him.

Elisha answered:   “As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee.”

So they came to Jericho.   And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, “Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day?”

Two different groups of prophets, with the Word of Knowledge, of Elijahs emanate departure.

Once again, he answered,  “Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

Elijah said unto him,  “Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan.”

Third times a charm…  Elisha said,   “As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee.

And they two went on.   And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.

Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

Moses:  Exodus 14 and Joshua: in Joshua 3,  walking across a body of water on dry ground…  Apparently it wasn’t even muddy.

And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee.”

Elisha said, “I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.”

That would be my desire also, I long to see and be apart of the Power of God.  He asked for something only the Lord could give.

Elijah answered:   “Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.”

Here we have one more Word of Knowledge, a Gift of the Spirit, given to us on the Day we received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  Why have so many Denominations buried these Gifts,  they are the Talents Jesus left us to increase the Church.

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Fire, the Lord once destoyed all flesh with water….  Fire, is the fate now.

Elisha saw it, and he cried,  “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.”

And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.   He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;  And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said,

Where is the Lord God of Elijah?”

That is my cry, everytime I pray for the sick and afflicted, the depressed, discouraged, the lost.   That is my prayer today, right now….

Where is the Lord God of Elijah?”

Elijah, a man of God 13: theunfetteredpreacher

King Ahab has died, his son takes the throne.

We  know a few things as we start 2 Kings.  Ahaziah, the son of Ahab is now King of Israel in the Capital Samaria.

He reigned for just two years, and walked in the way of both Ahab and Jezebel, which was the way of Jeroboam, who made Israel to sin.

He provoked the Lord to anger, as his father had done, by serving and worshiping Baal.

2 Kings 1:
Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.

This first verse is interesting because the Moabites were of the lineage of Lot.  At this point they are refusing to pay tribute to Ahaziah.

When the Hebrews were entering the promised land they were told to leave the Moabites alone.

They were to destroy all the tribes who were there except for Lot and Esaus descendants.

It was on a mountain in Moab that Moses saw the promised land.  He was 120, his eyes had not dimmed nor his strangth failed.

He was buried on that mountain, no one knows where.

2 Kings 1:
At this point in our story, Ahaziah, aparently  fell from a window, through some lattice work , and was grieviously injured.

In his sickness, he sent messengers to the temple of Baal, to find out if he would recover.

But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them,

Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron?”

We need to take a closer look at Elijah,  he was an example to us, of how the Lord will use a willing vessel.

He was open to the Word of the Lord, like no other Bible character.   He received and acted on Words of Knowledge, Words of Wisdom, Prophecy… ect.

With Abram, we find the Lord had said…  The Lord spoke more than once to get Abram to listen and leave the land of UR.

Moses, needed a burning bush, to draw his arrention to the Lord.   Elijah, when we first meet is delivering the Word of the Lord.

Then the Lord speaks, “You better go hide.

Elijah continued:  “Now therefore thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

Elijah then departed wnd left the messengers to go back and tell the King, the Word of the Lord.

Ahaziah, questioned them, they told the tale. He asked:  “What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words?

It is here we find the resemblance to John the Baptist.  “He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins.

Ahaziah, recognized him as Elijah the Tishbite, and sent a captain with his 50, to go and bring Elijah back.  The captain found Elijah on the top of a hill, and spoke to him.

Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.

This sounds to me a reasonable request.  Elijah answers:  “If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty.

Not surprisingly that is exactly what happened.  Not just this one time, but twice.

The third captain did something different.

The third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.   Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight.”

And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah,Go down with him: be not afraid of him.” And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.

Elijah told the King:   “Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.”

So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken.

I am disappointed! theunfetteredpreacher

I am disappointed!   WHY?  Because I believe the Scripture.

1 Corinthians: 4:20
For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

When I was first seeking God, I begged Him to show me that He was a God of Power and Might, not just words.

Growing up in a Catholic Church, I heard all the words, wondered at the mystery, and was disappointed with the reality.

When I was saved, I was introduced to a God of Power and Might,  a God, who was alive, loving, comforting, healing, who gave true joy and peace.

A God who knew and provided my needs before I knew them myself.  He was within me, around me, all I sought, wanted or needed.

I was part of a community of believers.  Bold, working in  the Gifts and Calling of the Lord.

Acts 4:29-31
King James Version (KJV)
And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Where did their boldness come from?  The Lord stretching forth His hand to heal, and signs and wonders happening by the Name of Jesus.

Some 30+ years later, I am disappointed!  The body of believers don’t believe.

We see few if any signs and wonders, we stay home from Church when sick, so we don’t spread our colds or flu.

We don’t expect signs, wonders and miracles, they just don’t happen anymore.   WHY NOT?

Is God not the same yesterday, today and forever?

Has His ability to preform said works, diminished?

Expired?

Has he forgotten how?

No, we seem to be content, we are saved, loved by God, the redeemed of the Lord.

What more could we want?

I will tell you what I want!

The Power of God, in my life, real, and mighty for the pulling down of strong holds, powerful for the saving of souls.

Wonderful for healing, comforting, bringing peace and joy to the afflicted, the lost, depressed, all those in need of a touch from God.

The Kingdom of God in POWER.  The Lord honoring His Promises in MY LIFE.

How and when, will I see this?  When I am totally His.

When we like Elijah,  speak and act on His Word, even in the face of the King.  When we tell His story like Stephen, even as we are being stoned to death.

We are not bold.  We are not powerful.  We really are not faithful, true to His calling, active in His work.

Well maybe you are…

I sure fall short.  I am disapointed, desolate and afflicted.  I long to be true, called, chosen and faithful.

I have answered the call, been accepted into the chosen.  My failure, is in being faithful.

I am the problem.  “I”, “I”, “I”…  this truth is devastating.

Like this home, covered in ivy, the temple of the Holy Spirit within me, is covered and strangled by my wants, desires, my sin and shame.

Lord, please, change my heart, my mind, my life.  May I be a man after Your own heart and desires.

May I be a vessel, You can use to proclaim Your Kingdom in Power.

May Your promise of signs, wonders and miracles follow… Because I believe.   Amen

The wise men; what wisdom is in them? theunfetteredpreacher

The wise men;  what wisdom is in them?

The wise men of our Public Schools, the wise men of our Universities, the wise men of our Government;

Even the wise men of our Churches;  “what wisdom is in them?

The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the Lord; and what wisdom is in them?

Please note, I include even our Churches in the question, “what wisdom is in them?”

The world has excepted the nonsense of  climate change as being because of man.

Ignoring the ice ages, and hot weather that have been cycling through-out time, wilfully and willingly.

We are being told LGBTQ’s are to be accepted, embraced and our children taught  that it is all natural and good.  (It isn’t).

I know these folks have always been with us.  I understand they believe they have no choice, that it is who they are.  (Not true).

Our elected loosers in Washington, would denie us our rights, while further driving God out of our lives.  (Godlessness prevails, evil grows in the hearts of man).

The real problem, apparently, is the Word of God.  It reveals our sins, causes us discomfort, points us to repentance.  (This is truth).  We cannot have that.

That is why we must not teach it to, or even let our children possess a Bible, never mind share it with their classmates.

Enough about the world, why the Church?

We have the same problems in Church,  we ignore the parts of the Bible we don’t agree with.

For some:  It is humility, poverty, trials and tribulation.  For others:  It  is prosperity, success, healing, peace and joy.  Still others:  The Gifts and Power of the Holy Spirit today.  Signs, wonders, miracles, tongues, interpretation, prophecy.

They don’t understand the truth of the Word so they throw it out.  It is all in there, all valid beliefs, truths of God, according to your faith so be it.

Woe, to the teachers and preachers that speak against the parts they do not understand.   (Yes they are legion).

So many reject the things they do not understand, instead of asking the Lord to enlighten them.

They bury the Talents…  They do not increase…  Spiritualy themselves, and they cause what followers they have to stay immature, ineffective and ignorant.

We need the parts of the Word we do not understand the most.  If we allow Him, the Holy Spirit would lead us to all truth.  He will teach us all things.  Empower us for His service.

We should experience increase in all parts of our lives and ministries.

Lord, open our eyes, our hearts and our minds, to accept all you have for us, to fulfill Your will.
Amen

Elijah, a man of God 12: theunfetteredpreacher

1 Kings 22, is an interesting chapter, Elijah isn’t mentioned, but the Lord does things a little differently from what we might expext.

Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel.  He walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the Lord:

Judah and Israel are going to work to recover land lost to the Syrians.  Now Jehosaphat, the King of Judah, was a good and Godly man, it is inexplicable that he joins forces with the wicked Ahab, the King of Israel.

Yet, here he is.

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the Lord to day.”

Ahab had about four hundred (false) prophets, who told them:  “Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.”

Jehoshaphat, found this a little odd and said:
Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides, that we might enquire of him?

Apparently, there was one, Ahab answered:  “Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the Lord: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.”

Jehoshaphat, wanted to hear his word, so he was called.  Meanwhile, some of the false prophets were acting out the great victory they foresaw.

Micaiah, was warned to speak good things like the false prophets.  He replied:  “As the Lord liveth, what the Lord saith unto me, that will I speak.

This harkens back to the story of Balaam, in Numbers 22.  Balek wanted Balaam to prophecy evil for Israel.  Balaam said he could only speak the Word of the Lord.

We hear a donkey speak, in todays story we find something unusual once again.

Ahab asks him, shall we go?  The answer surprises him.

Micaiah replied:  “Go, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.”

The same words as the false prophets…

Ahab knew something was wrong and said:
How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the Lord?

Apparently, Ahab knew he was not doing what the Lord desired.  He knew the Lords prophet shouldn’t agree with the others.

Then Micaiah, spoke again:  “I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the Lord said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.”

Ahab said unto Jehoshaphat,  “Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?”

The word of the Lord came to Micaiah once again:  “Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.

And the Lord said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.

And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him.

And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.

Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

This story, here and in 2 Chronicles 18 is the only place a lying spirit is mentioned in the Bible

Saints, we know the Lord can make snakes and donkeys speak.  Now we know He can use  lying spirits, (notice, a small s), to accomplish His goals.

These are evil spirits, used by the Lord to do His bidding.  The Lord uses the use-able.

If we aren’t allowing Him to use us,  how and by whom are we being used?   Are we a light shining in a dark world, or a black hole, sucking up the light.

A false prophet smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, “Which way went the Spirit of the Lord from me to speak unto thee?”

Micaiah said, “Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.”

Ahab proclaimed:   “Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;   And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.

Bread and water of affliction:  We only find this phrase in the story of Micaiah and one other place,

Isaiah 30:20-21
And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Even in the midst of the worst adversities, the Word of the Lord will be there to guide, direct and protect us.

Micaiah said, “If thou return at all in peace, the Lord hath not spoken by me.  Hearken, O people, every one of you.

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.

Ahab disguised himself while Jehoshaphat had on his royal robes.  The Syrians were ordered to go after Ahab.

At first they targeted Jehoshaphat, realized their error and by chance hit Ahab.  He bled out and died in his chariot.

And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, “Every man to his city, and every man to his own country.”

Micaiahs prophecy fulfilled, and then we find Elijahs prophecy fulfilled.

And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the Lord which he spake.

So Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.

We have seen men of God, Obediah, hid and fed 100 prophets of God, Micaiah, who brought the Lords truth once again to Ahab.

Then his word coming true, once again Elijah.  All three were vessels used by the Lord to accomplish His purpose.

We need to be available also.

Lord, please open our hearts and minds to be ready to answer Your call.  May we make a difference for Your Kingdom.   Amen

Elijah, a man of God 11: theunfetteredpreacher

We next find Elijah, in 1 Kings 21, the story of Naboths vineyard.  A simple story, of greed, deception, and murder.

Naboth had the misfortune of having inherited a vineyard, next door to Ahab and Jezebel.

Ahab, wanted that vineyard.  He first did the right thing and offered to buy it.  Only Naboth, wouldn’t think of selling his inheritance.

Ahab, cried once again to Jezebel.  She devised a plan to steal the land and get rid of all the Naboths.   It worked.

“And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.

And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite.”

A word of knowledge.  (He was told the situation).   Then he had a Word of Prophecy.  (Ahabs future fortold).

Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it.

And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the Lord, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession?” And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the Lord, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.

Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy?

Elijah answered, “I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the Lord.

Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,

And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin.

And of Jezebel also spake the Lord, saying, “The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.   Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.

“But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.

And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.”

We find and interesting truth here:

“And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.

Ahab learned to repent.   The wicked one repented… How could the Lord allow this?

“And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,”

Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son’s days will I bring the evil upon his house.

The Lord delayed the consequences of Ahab evil, …..  What?

Exodus 20
I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”

We may repent and be forgiven, but the consequences of are sin are felt.  Every action, has a reaction of equal or greater proportion.

Choose to love the Lord, you will cause mercy to flow to many you love.    Amen

Elijah, a man of God 9: theunfetteredpreacher

1 Kings 19

Saints, If we could get our heads around the Biblical truth in this post, we would be walking in the Yoke with Jesus, our burdon would be light, we would find rest for our souls.

Open our Spiritual eyes please Lord.

Our man Elijah, called down the fire of God  to burn up his sacrifice, the Israelites, have turned back to God.

Elijah, had a Word of Knowledge,  he heard:
a sound of abundance of rain.

He did not just sit and wait for the fulfillment of Gods promise, NO,  he found his place of prayer, his secret place.  Then he looked for the promise.

When the promise wasn’t seen, he kept praying and had his man look seven times.

The rains came.  “ the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

Obedience combined with prayer, gave Israel rain and Elijah, super-sonic, God powered,  transport, to beat horses and Chariot to Jezreel.

Now Ahab was a wicked King, but he had just seen Gods power, and he was upset at the death of his prophets.

Like most bullies, he went home and cried to his wife.   “Nothings going my way, Elijah was so mean, what am I going to do?”   “Nobodies going to respect or fear me anymore”  “boo hoo”  Well, maybe not, but he did tell Jezebel.

Jezebel, wasn’t just a bully, she was completely evil and vindictive…. she was, just plain mean.

She sent this message to Elijah:  “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.”

Now Elijah, the man of faith and power, stood tall and cried out:   “BRING IT ON!!!”   Just like Clint Eastwood, in a movie.

Well not quite:  “when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life.

This mighty man of God, running for his life, hiding in the wilderness, sat under a juniper tree:   “and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

(The juniper tree is a favorite spot to camp in the desert, it is one of the largest shrubs.  It protects from the wind at night and gives a measure of shade in the day.)

Then he did what I do, when I am depressed, fed up,  scared, confused, ….(most days, I guess).  He slept.

We don’t worry, when we sleep, we only dream.  We rest, regain our strength, sort out our thoughts.  We allow the Lord to minister to us.

Elijah, being a man of faith received special treatment.  No stream and ravens feeding him, this time.

No, an angel woke him, baked a cake on coals, gave him water.  He ate and drank, and slept once again.

Recovery from depression, is the only instance I recall in the Bible, of a healing taking time and no special effort.  (wash in the Jorden 7 times).

Our churches should not be hospitals, but Fix-it Shops-Filling Stations, the hurting should   be healed, filled with the Holy Spirit and sent out to spread the same.

THAT WAS GODS PLAN.

Jesus healed,  “now, today, … go and sin no more.”

The angel.came once again,  and told him:
“Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for the thee.”

He arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

Like Moses, back to the mountain of God.

We find the truth, the place of power and answered prayer, if we would only understand and put into practice, Gods Word.

Psalm 65:4a
King James Version (KJV)
Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee,”

God called Moses, Elijah, David, Asa, Abraham, Peter, Paul and Mary, and today, you and I.

He desires and offers so much more, than Salvation, He offers us His entire essence.

He will “cause us to approach Him.

If we will learn to approach, to find the secret place, under His wings, our lives would be so different.

Unfortunately, we don’t, we  live in the outskirts of His Kingdom.

He didn’t force us to accept Salvation, He doesn’t force us to come close.

➢Only one, rested his head on Jesus breast.
➢Only one, saw heaven.
➤Only one, died a natural death.

The 400 years of silence.  Was not because the Lord had nothing to say. It was because NO ONE, DREW CLOSE TO LISTEN!!!

Today we see vary little of Gods healing power, signs and wonders and miracles.

Not because God dosn’t want to do those things, He promised us we would do them and more.

Because so few draw nigh, we have few Faith Healers, few true Prophets, but many Pasters and teachers.

Learning Gods word and sharing it, takes work, study and prayer but with some effort, a Preacher/Teacher is born.

My question is:  “How many are walking in the Power of God?  Are the multitudes lining up to hear Gods voice, be healed, comforted, set free?”

God has bigger plans for those  who have chosen “to approach Him,”

He has special promises to those who refuse to stay in the outskirts of His Kingdom.

Psalms 65:4b
that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.”

Moses and Elijah could go for 40+ days without food and water because they lived under the shadow of His wings, they found the Secret Place… the place available to all who call Him Lord.

Next instalment…  Elijah is schooled by the Father.

Isn’t it interesting, a man of Faith and Power, yet he needs reminding of who he is and who he is dealing with.

image

Lord, please “cause us to approach” you, lead us to that secret place, help us to understand and then stand on Your Word.    Amen

Neglected Caroline –  This beautiful old home was torn down and replaced with a double wide on stilts.

I would rather spend money fixing a house with character, then a soul less box, however nice and new.

Sorry, just me.
