We, are the children of promise: theunfetteredpreacher

We, are the children of the promise: We have experienced being born of water, and now of the Spirit.

We are Children of the King, with all the rights, privileges, authority and power of Jesus.

We are blameless in the beloved.

Jesus told us, we would do everything He did, heal the sick, raise the dead, comfort the brokenhearted.

If we ask, we will receive. Are we?

Here in lies our problem.

Like a fireman we have hooked up to the source of life saving water.

We are ready to receive the powerful stream of water and change lives.

We wait, the power is not flowing as the Bible tells us it should. What could be wrong?

It is much like Jesus in His home town. In His church, we see no mighty miracles, just a few sick folks healed.

Yet, we marvel at His power, as He shakes His head, and marvels at our unbelief.

If we read Mark 6, we find Jesus leaving His home town, to teach, preach and do signs, wonders and miracles elsewhere.

He healed all that He touched and all that touched Him.

A friend scolded me recently that I have been beating the Holy Spirit too hard, that even those who believe would consider it too much.

Could be that’s true, when first saved I could not understand why so many rejected the Good News of God with us, the hope of glory.

How could they reject Gods perfect gift.

Mingling with mostly Spirit filled people, I never thought to speak of His Baptism. The Spirit was evident in their daily life. (Joy, peace, a positive reliance on the Lord).

Since the Lord brought me to this non-spirit filled Church, I have been trying to bring them the light and I have been expecting them to embrace this truth.

I know they love the Lord, but the difference between those with the baptism of the Spirit and those without is plainly evident.

They do not recognize it, it is foolishness of them. It is Spiritually discerned.

I do not understand how folks can believe in a part of His promises, and reject the tools Jesus promised to do His will.

So yes, I have hit this hard. The Church should, would and could meet the needs of the world, but the need to release the power of their source.

We are connected to the power, and
don’t know how to activate the power.

Like hooking a hose to a fire hydrant, there is a second step. We must turn on the water.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Please saints, ask the Lord to open your eyes to see and your ears to hear.

Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to all truth.

Deuteronomy 29:29
King James Version (KJV)
The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

He gave us the mission, He sent us the tools and knowledge to complete the job.

JUST DO IT!!! Amen

Should we Seek the Anointing?  theunfetteredpreacher

Should we Seek the Anointing for our lifes, for our Service to God?   Yes, definitely.

In the Old Testament,  they would Anoint or Consecrate  (separate out),  a place, a thing or even the High Priest  for Holy or Sacred use.

Every firstborn male,  was to be dedicated to the Lord, for His use and pleasure.

What?

Exodus 13:15
Names of God Bible (NOG)
When Pharaoh was too stubborn to let us go, Yahweh killed every firstborn male in Egypt—human and animal. This is why we sacrifice every firstborn male to Yahweh and buy every firstborn son back from the Lord.
(Buy back, they paid a price to the Lord for their firstborn a form of sacrifice, of dedication to the Lord.)

The Lord wanted a people dedicated to serving Him.  He chose the tribe of Levi, of Moses because both Levi and Moses, did His will instinctively. (Stood tall and acted on the behalf of others)

Later, the Levites became the substitute for the firstborn males.  So Moses brother, Aaron became the first high priest.

Exodus 28:41
And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

Today, we Christians are to be the ones Anointed, Consecrated,  Set Apart for His Service.

1 Peter 2:9
Names of God Bible (NOG)
However, you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, people who belong to God. You were chosen to tell about the excellent qualities of God, who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

What happens to the Anointed, Consecrated, Sanctified to God?

Saul was given a new heart by God and other signs followed.

1 Samuel 10:1
[ Saul Anointed by Samuel ] “Samuel took a flask of olive oil, poured it on Saul’s head, kissed him, and said, “Yahweh* has anointed you to be ruler of his people Israel. You will rule his people and save them from all their enemies. This will be the sign that Yahweh has anointed you to be ruler of his people.”  *(KJV: the Lord)

1 Samuel 10:9-10
Names of God Bible (NOG)
Saul’s Anointing Confirmed by Signs

When Saul turned around to leave Samuel, Elohim changed Saul’s attitude*. That day all these signs happened.    When Saul came to the hill, a group of prophets came to meet him, and the Ruach Elohim** came over him. He prophesied with them.”*(KJV:  God gave Saul a new heart.) **(KJV:  Spirit of God)

David received the Anointing.

1 Samuel 16:13
Samuel took the flask of olive oil and anointed David in the presence of his brothers. The Ruach Yahweh came over David and stayed with him from that day on. Then Samuel left for Ramah.”

The Spirit of the Lord came over and stayed with David, from that time onward.

Saints, should we not desire this in our lifes?

Do we not need the comfort, guidance, teaching and leading of the Holy Spirit to do the Work of the Lord?

The Anointing is ours to be used for His Service,  if we only obey and believe.

Psalm 45:7

Names of God Bible (NOG)

You have loved what is right and hated what is wrong.

That is why Elohim, your Elohim, has anointed you,  rather than your companions, with the oil of joy.

Hebrews 1:9
Names of God Bible (NOG)
You have loved what is right and hated what is wrong.
That is why God, your God,
anointed you,  rather than your companions, with the oil of joy
.”

The Anointing,  the OIL OF JOY… who doesn’t want joy in their lives?  David prayed, “Return unto me, the JOY of THY SALVATION. “

Saints, Christians seem to think they choose the Anointed,  Baptists, seem to hire and fire at will.

They are happy to bring in or kick out whoever, they choose to  lead them, in their church.

Sorry folks, the building isn’t the church, you are, and you are not in charge of who leads you.

You may choose to follow Gods Anointed, or not, but it is God that places the anointed one, the leader of His flock.

Psalm 132:10
Names of God Bible (NOG)
For the sake of your servant David,
do not reject your anointed one
.”

Psalm 105:15
Names of God Bible (NOG)
“Do not touch my anointed ones
or harm my prophets.

Isaiah 61:1-2
Names of God Bible (NOG)
The Lord Will Anoint His Servant with His Spirit

The Ruach of Adonay Yahweh is with me
because Yahweh has anointed me
to deliver good news to humble people.
He has sent me
to heal those who are brokenhearted,
to announce that captives will be set free
and prisoners will be released.
He has sent me
to announce the year of Yahweh’s good will
and the day of our Elohim’s vengeance,
to comfort all those who grieve
.”

The Spirit of the Lord was with Jesus, had Anointed Jesus, to spread the Gospel,  to heal the brokenhearted,  to set free those bound up, chained, lost in sin and death.

To proclaim the Good News, God with us, the hope of glory.  That we can walk with the Lord, as Adam did, in the cool of the day.  We can live in and enjoy the presence of God.

IT MAKES ME WANT TO SHOUT.

Jesus said:

John 14:12-14

Names of God Bible (NOG)
“I can guarantee this truth: Those who believe in me will do the things that I am doing. They will do even greater things because I am going to the Father.

I will do anything you ask the Father in my name so that the Father will be given glory because of the Son.

If you ask me to do something, I will do it.”

We are the Anointed of God in the world today.  We need to learn to live in the Spirit, to operate in the Spirit,  to believe and receive the blessings of God, The Anointing of the Spirit.

(Don’t be a fire blanket,  stoke the fire, feed the fire, become the fire… Let the ZEAL OF THE LORD CONSUME YOU!)

That His will may be done.

It will not happen, if we continue on in our own power.

We need Jesus Christ himself in charge by the Power of His Holy Spirit.   Allow Him to work in you, now, today is the day….   Amen

This is the will of God: theunfetteredpreacher

How often do those of us who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose wonder;  “Is this the will of God?”

“Am I walking in obedience,  am I even walking in the right direction?”   What is going on?”    Lord, where art Thou?”

Admittedly,  this question bothers new Christians, more then the old.   We who have been around the block know;  “This too, shall pass.

So we no longer ask;  “Lord, what is Your will?”  We believe we’ve got it covered.   Do we, really?

1 Thessalonians 4:3-7
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;  Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.”

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification,”

The will of God is that we be sanctified,  set apart, for His service, we were created “For His Pleasure.”

To please Him we must set ourselves apart, abstain from fleshly lusts, we must hold ourselves above and apart from the earthly desires of our carnel man.

That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter:”

Micah 6:8
King James Version (KJV)
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

It used to confuse me, that ? At the end.  Why? I finally decided it is there to emphasize;  (Maybe a little sarcasm was required.)

Haven’t I told you, shown you, let you know?  Do you not yet understand this simple concept?  Do what is right,  show the same mercy I have shown you, walk with Me, not before,  with Me, in My time, direction and speed.

God has called us to HOLINESS…

Last but not least;

1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

We must learn to be thankful,  when we are in need and when we abound…  We must not lust for more as the children in the wilderness listed for meat, or later desired a King.

The Lord granted their request,  but sent leaness to their souls.   He ended up giving them Kings, who led them astray.

While His desire, is for us to trust, rely and walk with Him, doing His work as He directs and empowers us.

Lord, the living water is there, waiting to be released,  to quench the thirst of a dieing world.

Lord, that You would open a door of utterance, that I could share Your Love and grace.  Amen

Tales from my Father 8:  theunfetteredpreacher

This one really stars my brother David.  He like my Dad could fix anything with wheels and an engine.

When I  was young he brought home a go cart.  (I think someone traded it for car repairs).  It had a chain saw engine that just screamed.

A pedal for a brake that didn’t seem to do much stopping when I pressed it.   I would get on, Dave would start it up and I  would fly up Cote Ave.

Go around the trees that were at the circle at the time and end up back at the house.

I  couldn’t stop it…  So David would grab the back end, pick it up and turn me around for another run.
My Dad used to say, David was rebuilding carburetors when he was 3.  I believe it, he loved cars.  (I can tell you the make and year I drive, that’s about it).

David got burned twice quite badly when I  was young.   I think the first time, he was spraying starter fluid into a carburetor,  when it flamed up as and got his face and hands.

Mom was upset, because Dad and Dave were late for supper.  Till they pulled up and the mummy stepped out. (Davids face and hands were wrapped completely in white bandages, I never heard him complain).

The next time, he was using the cutting torch and some windshield washer fluid ignited and burned both legs.

I believe Mr Pouliot? (A Lt on Fire Department, helped at the garage at times), Put Dave out one of those times and my Dad the other.  Wish I had a better memory.

(Fire Blanket used to put out fires on David)

He also had a bad car wreck….  I passed out in the elevator after I saw him.  (Lame.. lol)

I really wish both Dave and I had taken it easier on Mom and Dad…  It could not have been pleasant cleaning up after us.

As soon as David straightened up and was flying right, I took off for the pucker brush.

I spent more time there than he.   Life was a mess for many years.  I wish I had had a working brain back then….

Only the Lord knows, why I am the only one left.  The least productive of the bunch.
