Neglected Caroline

Neglected Caroline

I am constantly amused and amazed. I have driven by this place many times in the last 30 years. Never saw it till a few days ago.
My powers of observation are simply deficient. lol

The front of the house that had the windows and doors stolen. Just found it a few days ago.

The owner of this place was upset because someone had stolen the doors and windows.
Saw it for the first time yesterday.

I am always excited to find a different road less followed. A joy filled morning. Thank You, Lord

Another beautiful old home, left to slowly fall apart. No longer filled with love, life and laughter. Sad

Such a shame.

A home, without a human to care for and repair. Leaves only an empty shell.
The Church, without the Holy Spirits Power, soon becomes an empty shell.
We need the Holy Spirit in our lives and we need Him in our Churches.
The Kingdom of God, is at hand. His Power and Grace, are available to Whosoever will.
Saints, SEEK HIS FACE.

An empty shell. The Spirit is gone….

I have had my eye on this place quite awhile. Not sure why the path to to door is always, somewhat passable.
I first drove by this abandoned barn and home in 1985. I took the first picture in 2014.
At that time, I walked around for several shots. This building was once straight, strong and true.
By 2014 it no longer contained the owners prized possessions, it had become a repository for his trash.

There was nothing of value in this barn, and it was in worse shape then the home.

By 2016, it was really starting to show it’s disrepair.

I went by today, you can see the results.

Oddly enough, the home on some evenings, the outside porch light, is on.
Strange days…

This Working boat, in it’s present location, is as effective as the church. (Not catching many fish, today).

Home sweet home….

Neglected, lifeless, empty, another home, soon to fall apart.
Our churches, lacking the Spirit, fail to meet the needs of the people.
They will soon be lifeless, empty, falling apart.
Without the Spirit, we have powerless preaching, tame, profitless teaching, the sick, lame and troubled, remain wanting.

Another empty shell

Once a loved building, with a family, people who cared for it. Now empty, no life remaining.
A symbol of what it had been. Shelter, warmth, a home.

An empty home, is like a Church without the Holy Spirit’s, power, love and grace.

Lost, left, lifeless…
