Breaking News for all Catholics, Lutherans, Baptists, Methodists and all Denominational Christianity.
Peter, was not a Catholic.
Martin Luther was not a Lutheran.
John the Baptist, was not a Baptist.
John Wesley, was not a Methodist.
Surprised?
They were all followers of Christ. It was those who followed them, that have screwed up, and split up, the Christian Church.
If you wish to follow Christ, we must, read His Word, Know His Word, Obey His Word.
Recognizing that these men of God, Holy, Powerful, Leaders, of their times, did not have or understand the whole council of God.
The Lords reveals Himself to those who seek Him. As we understood salvation individually, so is it with the rest of His Word.
Revelation is available to whosoever will accept it, obey it, and walk with Him.
Psalm 27:8
“When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.”
As Christians, we need to follow Christ, seek Christ, love Christ Jesus, above our Church building, above our Denomination, above our Pastor.
It is He who saves us, supplies our needs, comforts and heals us.
Seek Jesus. Find everything important, everlasting, and meaningful .
Amen

Amen! We are told in God’s Word that there should be no divisions! We must be born again! If I could like your post more than once….LOL!
1 Corinthians 1: 10-13
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them [which are of the house] of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

You really made an excellent point, one that needs to spread far and wide. The idea that Peter wasn’t Catholic or John Baptist, cracked me up, because of course they weren’t.
Someone once said, “I only read the KJV of the bible because that’s the version Jesus used,” and it made me laugh, too. Just a little bit of history learning can be a good thing. 🙂

Bill,
And just to carry this all the way back…Jesus wasn’t Christian. He was Jewish, and wanted to take Judaism forward to the next level.
