1 Kings: 16. 33.
“And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.”
We are repeating this moment of Israels history. The northern kingdom had many evil kings, the next worse then the last.
We now meet Ahab and Jezebel, openly worshiping and sacrificing to Baal, a false God.
It had become no big deal, for all of Israel, to walk in and practice sin.
If it seems right in our eyes… it is.
God sent in Elijah and a drought.
Problem Solved. I wish it were.
How much more Lord? Will people ever look up, and repent?
Even if He were to send His son, not much would change. The evil of this world, just continues to prosper.
It was enough to depress, even the mighty man of Faith and Power. (Elijah) How much more our hearts, today, should cry out.
“How Long, O’ Lord, How Long?”
How long before a man of God rises up to challenge the Godless masses?
How long, till a man, will rise up and work in the Power and Love of Your Holy Spirit.
To proclaim the truth of Your love, with signs, wonders and miraculous works following. To draw all men to You.
Lord, You had Elijah, hide by a brook, being fed by the ravens, until the brook dried up.
Then it was time for a new chapter in his life.
Lord, I have been at Franklin, hidden and well fed, but have noticed the brook of financial supply, seems to be drying up.
If it is time to start a new chapter…
Here I am Lord, use me. Please show me the door and help me to open it.
I long to bring people to You. To have them recognize, and walk in Your peace and joy. To teach them to bring others to Your alter, to find mercy and grace, in their time of need.
Lord, hear my prayer… Amen

I add my prayers and amen for you Bill. May the Lord open the windows of heaven supplying your needs and more seeds for the sower. May the Holy Spirit rise up within you and grant you fresh fire and wind in your sails. The joy of the Lord is your strength. May He give you a new song. A song of deliverance that breaks chains and addictions and brings resurrection power and hope and life to all you touch.

Bill that was great. I liked how you took that passage and applied it to yourself. Do you mind if next week I share this as part of my series on Elijah?
