“As for God,”
The first words of Psalm 18:30.
“As for God.”
I sit in wonder and amazement, at the Majesty, Love and Grace of God, of His Eternal Nature and ways, while contemplating that short phrase. “As for God”
As you know, I have a thing for abandened and neglected things. It started when I noticed beautiful old farm houses, left to rot, while the family, lives in a new mobile home beside it.
Beautiful old schools, hospitals, government buildings being torn down, to be replaced with souless, unimaginative boxes.
I think it started after WWII, everyone wanted something new, the things that were built to last hundreds of years, were replaced with things with a life span of 30 years or less.
This my friend, is why we have bridges collapsing, roads full of holes and frost heaves.
Our electrical grid and sewer and water facilities all needing repair.
Our infrastructure falling apart around us.
We think in the “NOW”.
We must change our thinking to the eternal.
The legacy of the post WWII generation is; “That can be replaced.” Whether our electronics, buildings, life partners or unborn babies.
Everytime we replace the old, tried and true, in buildings, morality or family we loose a piece of our souls.
God has an Eternal way of life for whosoever will accept it.
Psalm 18:30
King James Version (KJV)
“As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.”
A perfect way:
A way where we will find the peace that passes understanding, the joy unspeakabe and full of glory. A way of comfort, love and forgiveness. A way that touches, heals and saves others.
The Word of the Lord is tried:
We can rely on His promises. Though His timing can give us fits. His Word is Truth. If it is not working in your life, check your side of the promise.
He is a shield to those that trust Him:
He protects, guides and directs all who listen and walk with Him.
His way is eternal.
His words are true.
His love and grace will see you through.
THINK ETERNAL, ACCEPT AND WALK WITH JESUS.
Thanks for visiting. Come back soon.
Know you are loved.

A beautiful message conveyed beautifully! I too believe old things last long and today we are just creating or developing them with a short-term vision!
