As for me, I shall be satisfied: The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

What will cause you to be satisfied?  A raise?  A new job?  Admiration or respect of your peers?

A bigger house,  a new car, a different significant other?

Not one or all of these things will satisfy.  None of these things will change who or what we are inside.

David wrote these words in Psalm 17:

” As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”

The key to finding satisfaction, is to learn to mirror the likeness of God.   In our actions, attitude and desires.

To become like God….not all powerful, all knowing. ..ect, but loving, forgiving, forgetting. …serving.

“I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Thy likeness. “

That is when we are a vessel the Lord can use and trust with the fulness of His being.

Is it possible to be that vessel the Lord can trust with His power?  Is it possible that signs and wonders,  miracles could be happening today,  through us?

Only if we learn to come boldly into the Holy Place:

Psalm 15 gives us a road map.  Will we follow it?

” Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?”

Are you waiting and willing to find out?  Will it be you?  Will I find my way there?  It is not a trail for the faint hearted or those who are not seriously seeking the Lord.

We must first walk:

” He that walketh uprightly,
         ~and worketh righteousness,
~and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Walk uprightly. … (people see what we are)
Work righteousness. .. (people see what we do)
Speak truth in our hearts…. (is God what we truly desire?)

We must  control our tongues:

” He that backbiteth not with his tongue,
~nor doeth evil to his neighbour,
~nor taketh up a reproach against his     neighbour.”

He that controls his tongue is a step ahead of most.

We must keep our word:

“He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.”

It is not always easy to keep a promise, it could cost you money, time, respect,  pride…position.

We must help the poor, not expecting gain:

” He that putteth not out his money to usury,
~nor taketh reward against the innocent.”

This is the promise:

” He that doeth these things shall never be moved.”

Psalm 65:4
” Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.”

Lord, my desire is to dwell in Your courts, to be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Please make me a vessel of Your use.
