That is where I was. A drunkerd, pot head, a man actively seeking comfort from married women. A mouth unfit for civil society. (All things that seem to be accepted today).
When I was young and stupid, I was young and stupid.
Then the bottom rose up and hit me.
” I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me . “
I repented, turned around and started walking toward God, with an open heart and mind, seeking peace, relief, comfort, forgiveness.
I found it all and more.
I have regretted many things in my life but never the decision to Walk with Jesus.
Unfortunately like an untrained dog on a leash, I have tugged, zigged and zagged trying to get the Lord to follow me.
Slowly, I began to let Him lead, …..ahhhhh…. what a relief:
” But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me”
” I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.”
“Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people.”
We all think we will have time to repent, to ask for forgiveness, to seek the Lord.
Maybe……maybe not. Today is the day, the acceptable day of the Lord.
Lord, please open our hearts and minds, draw us close to you, set us apart for Your service. May You be Glorified in our lives and add to Yout body such as would be saved.

Wonderful story of the Lord’s redeeming power.

Terrific. Hey, I’m working on a post of “veteran Christians.” I hope to put links to some specific sites of bloggers 60+ years old. I would like to include your’s as one of those links if I may. Would you mind if I included your age? (I would need you to tell me that). Also, why have you chosen to the use the word “Unfettered”?? Thanks. Dawn

I would be very pleased. 62…(see why unfettered). ..because I put the Bible above any denominational rules, rituals or traditions.
Thanks for asking.
