This poor man cried – The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

I have cried.  I wonder has the Lord  really heard?  I’ve not yet been saved out of my troubles.

The answer is yes,  He heard.

The problem is, my troubles are a direct result of my decisions and actions.  I am suffering because I am not an obedient servant.   I too often say, “This way Lord, let me show You.”  Instead of “Show me Your ways oh Lord.”

Why do we expect the Lord to bless what and where we are when we haven’t bothered to find out His will and ways, when we are not where He would have us?

He can use us where we are but; why not take the time to find His Perfect Will, instead of settling for the good or acceptable will.

” be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans  12:2

Yes as we ramble through life we may be in His Good or even Acceptable Will.  I  desire His PERFECT WILL.  I  want to see signs and wonders following.   I expect people to come to a knowledge of His love and grace.

The blind to see, the deaf to hear, the lame to walk.  Jesus promised we would do this and more.  He promised answered prayers.

Why don’t we see much more of these things?

Don’t blame God.  Find His Perfect Will, take his yoke, walk with Him.  Quit thinking, “I know”, and ask Him “how?”.

” But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.  For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
2 Corinthians 2:14-16

As a Spiritual man, I understand why my life is a mess.  My old man still reigns, Lord deliver me from this body of sin and death.

HEAR MY CRY, OH LORD.
The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.”
Verses from Psalm 34

Your  words Lord, i cry out to You…LORD HELP!!!

  1. Perfect Bill. We do expect that we can just do whatever we want, and that God will spare us from the consequences of our actions. He offers full forgiveness for anything, but not necessarily relief from the fallout of our actions. The proverb teaches us that if we expect him to direct our paths, that we first acknowledge Him in all of our ways.
