Last Tuesday in our mens meeting, both of these phrases were mentioned. “By this I know and I am fully persuaded.”
They are both found in Scripture.
By this I know :
* The word of the Lord in your mouth is true. Her son was raised from the dead. (1 Kings 17)
By this I know :
* That you love me, because my enemy did not triumph over me. (Psalm 41)
By this I know:
* When I cry unto you, my enemies turn away, because you are for me. (Psalm 56)
I am fully persuaded :
* That what you have promised, will be done.
(Romans 4)
Do you know? Are you fully persuaded?
“The promises of God in Him, are yes and Amen, unto the Glory of God by us.” (2 Corinthians 1 )
God receives glory, when his people live a life of faith and trust. We grow to be this person, when we see him work on our behalf.
” Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
(2 Corinthians 7)
Cleanse ourselves, perfecting holiness, in the reverential fear of God. He tells us how it’s done.
” I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12)
If you want to know, that you know? Do you want to be fully persuaded?
Than renew your mind and prove what is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. Make sure you don’t settle for good or acceptable when you can have the perfect.
Don’t be conformed to those around you , become a living sacrifice. You aloner are responsible for what you do with and for the Lord.
Lord, help us to seek Your face , to know Your will, to enjoy Your promises because we know and are fully persuaded that You will do that which You promise.
