A sign of our times: 10/9/17. theunfetteredpreacher

From the NFL, Stand, kneel, hand over heart, or locked arms?
They claim; “It’s not the flag or military, we dishonour, we have just chosen the time we would normally honor them, to dishonour.”
Really?
How about, Dr Suess, is he, out of date, racist, tired and worn out, or fun and entertaining?
Men are women and women are men. Oh dear, what bathrooms do we use?
How has this come to be? What has happened, that common sense, has left the building.
The greatest generation has raised a clueless, confused and gullible, generation.
Our generation never grew up.
Make love not war. If it tastes good eat it. If it feels good do it. If you like it do it again.
Don’t tell me, not to do that. Who do you think you are? Don’t you dare judge me…
Nobody knows, how hard my life is. I need to kick the dog, beat up my wife, abuse my kids.
I am just letting off steam. It’s none of your business.
How did we come to this, state of Confusion?
I was not surprised, to find the answer in the Bible.
God is not the author of confusion, but of love, peace and joy. So what happened?
Man’s freewill. We have many warnings in the Word. Know God, know Peace.
Harkin Diligently, to do and follow God, Blessings result, even in the midst of trials and tribulation.
Reject God and His Word, we see the results in the world we are experiencing.
I leave you with three chapters, to read. I will just include some of the relevant scriptures here.
Sorry guys, sexual sin, legalized, practiced and praised. Please take the time to read the full chapters.
Sex is a beautiful special gift to mankind. To be enjoyed, by a man and woman in their marriage bed.
Leviticus 18:22-23
“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.”
Leviticus 20:12-13
“And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”
The marriage bed was a gift, we turned it into our own curse.
Romans 1:20-25
“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”
Saints, the confusion, the shootings, the racial unrest, the troubles we face daily, abound because of sin.
Our freewill, the gift from God, has allowed us to deny, His love and grace.
Showing respect, knowing which bathroom to use, even the use and abuse, of guns, are not controlled by our laws, but only by our LOVE OF GOD.
We need to pray our country back to where God is Glorified and Honoured, even in with different forms of Worship.
God is bigger and more powerful than we allow Him to be.
Seek His Face….. Find Forgiveness and Love….. Share that with those you disagree with.
Let God change our hearts and minds.
Peace, wonderful peace is within reach.
Amen

An abandoned work boat.
Psalm 32 (AMPC)
Psalm 32
[A Psalm of David.] A skillful song, or a didactic or reflective poem.
“Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is he who has forgiveness of his transgression continually exercised upon him, whose sin is covered.
Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
When I kept silence [before I confessed], my bones wasted away through my groaning all the day long.
For day and night Your hand [of displeasure] was heavy upon me; my moisture was turned into the drought of summer. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord [continually unfolding the past till all is told]—then You [instantly] forgave me the guilt and iniquity of my sin. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
For this [forgiveness] let everyone who is godly pray—pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely when the great waters [of trial] overflow, they shall not reach [the spirit in] him.
You are a hiding place for me; You, Lord, preserve me from trouble, You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.
Be not like the horse or the mule, which lack understanding, which must have their mouths held firm with bit and bridle, or else they will not come with you.
Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on the Lord shall be compassed about with mercy and with loving-kindness.
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you [uncompromisingly] righteous [you who are upright and in right standing with Him]; shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
AMEN

Old love, greatly missed
What would you preach, from these scriptures?
Matthew 9:35-38
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Matthew 10:1-8
And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
I heard the Word today…. oh boy…
Using the scriptures above, what would you preach?
It speaks of teaching and preaching, the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Not just teach and preach, but called to do.
Heal every sickness and disease, to have compassion and pray.
He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Go and Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
The last line, freely ye have received, freely give.
To me in Context we should freely give the Gospel, freely heal and set free the captives of sickness or Satan.
If we continued to read we find they were told that the people they gave the Gospel to, were to supply their needs.
My sad point is, the preacher who used this Scripture to preach, used the last line, “freely ye have received, freely give.”
To talk about, helping our neighbors, fulfilling their needs, cleaning and cooking, doing laundry.
All good things, even Godly things. Just not what the Scripture was teaching us, and the reason the Church is Powerless today.
We need to act on and believe the Full Council of God.
I’ve gor nothing. Wait… nope, nothing.

The empty home, like the Church that rejects the Spirit, gradually falls apart.
Is of no longer any use for God or man.
An empty shell, dead, useless.
An older post revisited.
Jesus prays for us

I wonder who he thinks designed, the grand design?

Why Neglected Caroline? Beautiful homes, like our beautiful churches. No longer full of life. The Spirit is gone.
What is left, slowly falls apart. Until there is nothing left.

Why Neglected Caroline?
To me, these buildings were once beautiful, but like our Churches the life has gone out of them.
They are just empty shells.
My friend Pastor Nelson, paid me a visit this week. As always, when I see him, I am encouraged.
I’ve had “no more power to weep.” For a few weeks now. I do not understand what the Lord is doing in my life.
Are the desires of my heart, from God? Or are they carnal, flesh pleasing, selfish desires, of man?
I believe the Lord has opened my eyes to His word, and given me understanding.
I still have a problem bringing understanding of these truths, to immature Christians.
The things of the Spirit, for the Carnal, are as impossible to believe, as the need of Salvation, is for the lost.
“For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed.” (Lamentations 1)
At times, it seems the Comforter is far from me. The enemy has set up a wall, has prevailed, has defeated me.
I have no strength to continue.
I encourage myself in the Lord. Amen
