2 Peter 1:10-16

This verse is an encouragement to do the former and a promise of results.

2 Peter: 1. 10.
“Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:“

Be diligent, give serious and thoughtful attention to, read, study, meditate. Know your calling and election. Know who you are and what you are supposed to be doing.

“The gifts and calling of God are without repentance. “

We have been called to serve, so do it. If we do “we shall never fail.” To please and grow in the image of our Lord.

2 Peter 1:11-14
“For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.”

We received our ticket to heaven when we accepted Jesus as Lord. The gates of heaven will be opened wide, I am pretty sure there will be a cloud of witnesses to our triumphant entrance.

Peter wants to remind us….to keep on, don’t give up, we will bare fruit at the time appointed. He would have us established, faithful, strong, ready to answer those in need. Work men, not ashamed, working.

Knowing his time is short, Jesus had prophesied his death and he was ready.

2 Peter: 1. 15,16
“Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.”

He wants us to continue in his absence, he hasn’t made this up, he knew Jesus and faithfully gave us His Word and Will.

2 Peter: 1:10-16
“Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.

Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.”

Lord, help us to endeavour to grow in your likeness, to walk in Your path, to bring others into Your flock.

Partaker scriptures

I was asked for the addresses for the partakers. Here they are.

2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Hebrews 6:4
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

1 Timothy 6:2
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

Hebrews 3:1
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Ephesians 3:6
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

Hebrews 3:1
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Hebrews 12:10
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

1 Peter 4:13
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

What are Your Expectations? theunfetteredpreacher

What are Your Expectations?

What do you think will happen, now that Jesus Christ is your Lord.

Most of us, realize the thrill of being forgiven, and the joy of knowing heaven is in our future.

So it is the day of our Salvation and the day of our death, that we are concerned about.

What about the NOW? Do we believe the Bible? Do we understand the promises to those who Love the Lord?

The Bible promised, we would be:

partakers of the divine nature,

partakers of the Holy Ghost,

partakers of the benefit,

partakers of the heavenly calling,

partakers of Christ,

partakers of his holiness,

partakers of Christ’s sufferings;

We have these promises, the only one we expect to experience, are the sufferings.

We do not strive for holiness, we do not know our heavenly calling, we are not partakers of Christ, or of the benefits of the Devine Nature.

He promised we would do all that He did on earth and more. Sadly, few believe and seek out the realization of these promises.

Oral Roberts, Kathryn Kuhlman, R.W. Shamboch, Billy Graham, Benny Hinn, and many popular Evangelists and Teachers, have.

These folks have pushed through, learned how to touch the Hem of His garment.

They have received their Gifts of the Spirit, and are Walking in the Promise.

They are building His Kingdom.

Do not be jealous, petty, and complain that they aren’t teaching as you believe.

You need to Touch His Garment also. Seek His Face, Accept and learn to use, the Gifts He has Given.

Walk with Jesus, Accept His Yoke. Walk in the Power of the Holy Spirit. Amen
