Let no man deceive you

Let no man deceive you. ..

2 Thessalonians 2:3

Let no man deceive you by any means:

Paul was warning people not to be mislead about the Day of the Lord. …that people would fall away from the true Gospel and follow the false Prophet.

Today we need to be warned against non believing, believers.  Who are these people. …Those who have tried it all and not succeeded.   They love the Lord but really, “He doesn’t do that Biblical mumbo-jumbo anymore.   We are much too intelligent to believe in signs, wonders and miracles.

Speaking in tongues, holiness, morals, commandments.  Be real.  The Word of God is just a guide for life…if it seems right to you how can it be wrong?   I’ve decided it isn’t a sin to live together,  to lust after money, power or sex.”

They look upon the gullible believers (us) with a smile, pat our head and chuckle knowingly.   (you will see, eventually)

Run from such…they will steal the faith you need for that healing, peace, comfort. ..even the Walk with the Lord you desire.

1 Corinthians 3:18
Let no man deceive himself.

Here the warning is to babies in the Lord, I am Paul’s,  or Apollos.

People so fixed on the milk of the Word they are not ready for the meat.   Paul tells us, One man planted, another waters, Christ gives the increase.

Today its I’m a Baptist,  Pentecostal,  Methodist,  Presbyterian,  Anglican,  Catholic. …nonsense. ..you need to be a Christian. ..believe the Bible not what Luther,  Westley,  Graham,  Oral Roberts,  or even “theunfetteredpreacher” tells you. Believe the Word of God.

It is good to belong to a local fellowship but you are responsible for your own Spiritual growth.   Read the Word,  fill yourself with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs.  Debate, discuss, devour the Word of God,  seek Wisdom, Understanding,  Knowledge and Grace to believe.  We need to learn to OBEY more than sacrifice.

Do not deceive yourself thinking. You know the mind of Christ,  when you only spend an hour or two a week with Him.  We must learn to live in Christ,  to pray without ceasing. ..to worship God in Spirit and truth.

The early Christians had signs and wonders following because they spent time with Him.  The older more experienced believers    discourage us from believing,  so we would not be disappointed.   It didn’t seem to work for so and so, so don’t expect the Word to work for you.

“Don’t bother with prayer and fasting,  you don’t need to give up your bad habits or thoughts,  what do you mean the mind of Christ?”

The Word of God is true.

Mark 9:23
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Ephesians 5:6
Let no man deceive you with vain words:

Here Paul is warning us about sin.
fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness,  Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient.  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

In the church today personal morality seems to be the new thing…..Please live by Gods morals, even if God isn’t real, you would be a much better person.

1 John 3:7
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

Search the Gospels,  when Jesus saw their faith,  He healed them.  As many as touched the hem of His garment were healed.

Jesus healed all that were afflicted.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever. We just need to press in and touch the hem of His garment.  Touch Jesus…we can do it, if we give ourselves totally to Him.

We will receive the grace to carry on and people will be drawn to Him, because He will be visible in us.  We will see His grace is sufficient.  As Jesus had to go through the cross to conquer the devil,  we may have to go through our afflictions.

Lord help me to see.

  1. We need to live in the attitude that all that we do is for His Kingdom and all that is done is by His power and the main goal of it all is for His glory! \o/

    God bless you, amen!~
