The Mysteries of the Kingdom: theunfetteredpreacher

The Mysteries of the Kingdom:

Jesus spoke in Parables, so that those who had hearts that were hard to the Gospel, would in; “seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.” (Matthew 13:13)

Yet, those whose hearts were open would ‘Know the Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven’. (Matthew 13:11)

So what are these Mysteries?

The first is that we become children of God, like the Jews, by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our sins. (Ephesians 3:6)

It is interesting to me that before I was saved there really was no such thing as sin. (If it felt good, do It, tastes good, eat It, and if you like it do it again.)

As long as it was legal, it was fine. If it was illegal, it was ok unless you were caught.

When the Lord opened my heart to recognize sin, I discovered Repentance. Repentance led me to Belief, which caused me to become Righteous. Which, in turn, led me to Confession and Salvation.

A journey that happened in the blink of an eye.

Knowing that mystery was a life changer, yet there was more to be Revealed.

Paul received this Revelation in a personal meeting with Jesus. (Ephesians 3:3) We may not have been blinded, (like Paul) when we met the Lord, but we received the same Revelation of the Love and Grace of Jesus Christ.

Paul continued, as we should, to explain the mystery to others, we are to be faithful stewards of the mysteries of the Kingdom, calling all to the Knowledge of Christ. (Ephesians 3:9-10; 1 Corinthians 4:1)

We should pray the Lord will open the door for us to effectively share this blessing. (Ephesians 6:19) That the lost would come to Christ.

This is only the beginning of the Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven. I hope you join me, to explore more.
