Lust, revisited: theunfetteredpreacher

For years, I believed Lust, was just about sex. It isn’t.

Lust isn’t just something that young boys and old men battle. It is a battle all, male and females fight.

Lust is covetousness. It is:

The apple is good to make one wise, to be like God.

The guy across the street got a new car… (I need one).

Why did he get the promotion? I ‘m better, smarter, work harder, and more deserving than him.

Lust is a big problem for Pastors also.

I have heard, from Pastors…

All they do is music and drama, I heard they allow drinking, they don’t preach the true Gospel, like I do.

They teach a false Gospel, they itch the ears of the people.

That’s why so many attend there.

GROW UP… THEIR CHURCHES GROW, BECAUSE THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IS THERE.

Yes, you preach what you understand is the Gospel, and it is. Only there is no power.

The Gospel is confirmed by signs, wonders and miracles.

Some miracles are crowds being saved… like Billy Graham’s ministry. Maybe the 600 member church down the street, is seeing this.

Some miracles are Healings, signs and wonders like Katherin Kuhlman, RW Shamboch, Oral Roberts, Benny Hinn.

Do you notice anyone missing? Yeah, me and you.

I lust, yes I covet, a pulpit, a platform, a ministry that sees people saved, healed, comforted….

I do not reject those who are successful, I long to learn… to grow.

That is my desire. Is it God’s desire? I guess not, He hasn’t opened any doors of utterance.

I have prayed. He tells me the Blog is my platform.

I wonder if it helps anyone to grow closer to Christ?

Does anyone really read and understand?

I believe the big ministries are anointed of God and have many followers, not because they are fakes, but because they have fasted, prayed, studied, and groaned in prayer.

Until they have touched the hem of His garment. They have learned to come boldly to the throne of Grace.

They know how to pray and walk in the will of God. Are they perfect? lol, not even close.

They know how to repent and keep pushing closer to Christ.

They have found Grace and Mercy in their time of need.

They needed the presence of God in their lives more than their next breath.

When that is true for me….. and you, we will see. God confirming His Word.

Mark 16:17-18 (KJV)

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

Mark 16:20
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Do we really believe?

2 Timothy 3:16
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

Do not throw the Word out. The change must be in us. Amen

  2. It would be nice if the big ministries are all anointed of God and may have many followers, because they are would have prayed, studied, or even fasted, and groaned in prayer. But we must be aware that there are also lots of mega churches because they offer entertainment that pleases the crowd. Many of those mega churches not really present the Word of God but have very food manipulators of spectators and who are very good managers or CEO’s. Their success does not depend on people having found the truth, but on them being offered what they like.

    • I think if you would take a close look at their teachings, you would see a degree of truth.
If you would look at our older Denominations, you would also see a degree of truth.
No one has it all. We need to look at the scriptures daily…. TO SEE IF THEY ARE TRUE. To often, we try to prove them wrong.
We can miss many blessings of the Lord, in this way.
      The religious Jews, rejected Jesus.
We need to guard against this Spirit.

      • Thank you very much for your comment. It is true that we always should remember that as human being we are limited and we shall have different denominations which all shall have bits and pieces of truth and wrong thoughts.

As you say we need the Scriptures to find the truth. But when we look at their recent bible translation we can not find a literal translation and to call it a paraphrased Bible translation is also not exactly what it is (see our article of 2017 November 23)

Concerning the last bit of your reaction we want to let you know that there are many religious Jews who did not rejected nor today reject Jesus. Throughout the ages there have always be Judaic followers of the Nazarene Jeshua (Jesus Christ).

  3. bill theunfetteredpreacher cote, concerning the reply of November 22, 2017 at 1:43 pm we did it by the WordPressComments overview where most parts that day went about the NAR and we having been busy these days by examining their new Bible translation The Passion Translation..
Probably you wondered what bible we where talking about. So now you know it is about one of the latest translations on the market, which is not a literal translation but more a paraphrased bible which takes a lot of liberties. It may be a nice translation to have an easy read and to go fluently from one chapter to the next. But because of certain insertions, made from their own doctrinal thought, it can be a misleading translation.
We better had looked at the page where our comment was made to – so our apology for bringing something not (directly) spoken about here and the possible confusion. But because being a translation from such ‘apostles’ and ‘healers’ it still was in line and they are part of those mega-churches and organisations which brought the American public and people in missionary fields on a side track.
Though we must know that their existence is perhaps a necessity and an allowance by God, creating for some a path to find the Way to God.
