We have been studying the Old Testament, for quite a while on Wednesday nights.

I thought for a change we could look up who and what we are in and or through Christ.

How about: we are living stones, a holy priesthood, ambassadors of Christ, letters read by all men, co rulers with Christ, the fragrance of christ, warriors, people with beautiful feet bringing Good News, gifted, healers, light , salt, the sheep of His pasture and no on can snatch us out of His hand, we hear His voice and follow Him, we are children of our heavenly Daddy, He favors and delights in us and nothing can seperate us from His love, I can walk boldly into God my Daddys throne room and He drops eeverything to hear what I have to say, I have God’s DNA, I’m born again, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, I can be excited when I experience various trials because my Daddy is providing opportunities for me to beome strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, I can always rejoice because I know God’s will and love always trumps Satan’s schemes and my Daddy always turns what Satan means for evil into a double blessing for me. We are the Bride of Christ. He has gone to prepare a house for me and soon He will return in the clouds, as He left, take me up with Him and take vengence on all His/my enemies.

      • We have to be trained in recognizing whose voice we are hearing in our minds: Satan accuses, shames, plants seeds of suspicion about God’s agenda; the world wants to squeeze us into its mold; and the flesh whines that it he/she can’t have it NOW she/he will perish! All those voices are our enemy and will be our undoing if we spend any time listening. We must capture cast down and make them bow to the authority of King Jesus.

      • Remember the water on the rock. Line upon line, precept upon precept. I taught our children these things when they woke up with night terrors. Just because the don’t want to fight doesn’t mean they are not in a war. Put the cookies on the bottom shelf so they can understand. If they are truly saved then they ARE all those things. They are living like squatters while they hold the deed on the land. The thing is in order to take posession they have to fight for it. They have to recognise who they are like Peter in the movie Hook. If you haven’t seen it get it and pay close attention. 😆 we all need training in right thinking. Give word pictures and exercises/games that will prove the point and help them to stop looking at their circumstances through the loser/victim lense. I loved the Rocky and karati Kid movies when the hero turned their beat down experience to really train for war. Instead of whining or wineing we need to know our minds are the battlefield and we need to know our enemies and how to be overcomers. We need to get excited about getting vengence. Walk out of our self made prisons and rescue everyone else in there too!

      • We are discussing folks who have sat in churches forever and never been taught to read, think or pray but the basics.
        I have taught them to use their concordance, trying to teach then to pray the word.
        First I am trying to get them to recognize there is a Spiritual side to life.
        You are talking beyond their abilities to receive. This is all Greek to them.

      • Do they love seeing the underdog getting strong and pound the bad guy? There are plenty of examples in Scriptures where prophets used word pictures to pierce the hearts that were rock hard. What can you lose?
