How low can I go? – The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

Proverbs 29:23
King James Version (KJV)
A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.”

I awoke this morning realizing I am an insufferable know it all.

(Self portrait – there is no there, there)

The last few days I’ve been writing like a crazy man,  words falling onto the page like leaves.

I am sorry, I have let my pride rule once again.
I know what’s wrong with the Church……do it my way, show your love for God my way.

MY WAY IS THE RIGHT WAY.        What a joke….

If I had it right and together,  my church, hall, stadium, would be overflowing with people seeking a touch, some wisdom, a healing from the Lord.

I look behind and not only do I not see signs and wonders  following but I don’t see any great revival  or movement.

I see no change where I’ve been laboring,  they don’t care or maybe don’t  dare to ask God for the Gifts of  the Spirit,  they don’t care or don’t dare to learn to sing anything but hymns to the Lord.

They love God but I have not succeeded in convincing them that they could experience joy unspeakable or peace beyond understanding.   The presence of the most High God in their midst.  (Again it’s all about me).

My way is not working! !!
My example is lacking!!!!
I am the problem! !!!
I am not the vehicle God can use!!!

Proverbs 16:18
King James Version (KJV)
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

Lord, please help…..I am stuck, I still believe in me more than in You,  Lord, create in me a new heart.
Help me to learn to follow, trust and obey You.

Help me to leave the old man in the grave and to walk in the light of Your love.  May people recognize You in my life.

Thanks for visiting, come back soon.

  1. It is good to humble oneself, long to be more holy, and strive to be like Jesus. However to judge one’s ministry by looking at the harvest may not be wisdom. To say I’m not good enough because there are no signs following is a very short distance from saying there is no one good enough because they don’t have signs following them. Jesus did say signs would follow the believers and he did say signs followed him but he was pretty unhappy with those who only followed because of signs and he did not like the sign seekers. Perhaps we should not judge others or ourselves on the basis of signs. Or perhaps we do not know what signs to look for. I see Christians daily who are suffering great trials and doing so with grace, trust, love, patience, tolerance, hope, and sometimes even humor. Maybe those are signs following. Maybe the moon doesn’t have to stand still to be a sign.
